We do not wish ill health on anyone,but the timing is perfect,in light of all kinds of investigations and other scandals surrounding el presidente. It isn't useful popularity as it will evaporate the minute he tries to exploit it. People are willing to sympathize with him over his illness, but at some point the rational mind will kick in. It may help Olmert with some people in terms of sympathy and his courage about being open about it. But, when it comes to security, Olmert is an abject failure, witness Peretz, Lebanon, Gaza withdrawal, non-release of captives. So sympathy must not replace the fact that Olmert is a total failure. He will do harm to Israel in Annapolis with his concessions.
