10. What if Tel Aviv is Struck Next Time?
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (11.01.07)
Okay, okay, let's put this in perspective. Hez fired 4,200 rockets into Israel and kidnapped 2 soldiers (not yet returned). Israel struck back with some clusters...but avoided hitting civilians and using the more effective bunker busters. Hez fought well, but Israel sent in 50,000 troops to finish the job. The UN demanded a cease fire (typically). Hez was restricted, as was Israel. Hez now had 20,000 rockets, including more advanced missiles. Israel sends overflights to get intelligence and is condemned for it and not providing cluster bomb locations. Hez defies the UN cease fire and nothing is done, except the recent criticism. In Israel, the Winograd Commission is going no where, even though a few top brass resigned. So what now? Israel whines but has no effective remedy. It's still fighting with restaint. Wha will happen if Hez hits Tel Aviv, just as Israel struck western Beirut? Will all hell break out, alls fair in love and warfare? Food for thought!
11. Future rouge action of Nasrallah could get him buried alive!
KMR ,   Middle East   (11.01.07)
12. but the man is still conventional
observer   (11.01.07)
he has not said with or without nuke.
13. Yawn...
Danny   (11.01.07)
didn't he have "rockets that could reach Tel Aviv" in the last war? Wasn't he going to move to "the stage after the stage after Haifa"? Wasn't he busy destroying "dozens" of tanks and killing "hundreds" of soldiers?
14. Number of inaccuracies
Danny   (11.01.07)
1) The Syrians do NOT back the claim Shebaa is Lebanese. They will simply claim it is occupied. For sake of unclarity they will say occupied Golan and occupied Shebaa but have NEVER, EVER said it is Lebanese. 2) If the UN doesn't know how many cluster bombs were used does this mean it wil issue a press release retracting it mendacious claims about "millions" of cluster bombs used. Especially as they have found less than 1000 sites. 3) According to MACCSL - or at least according to their monthly stats, there hasn't been a death let alone a "civilian" death for months. Which is wierd when they claim there is basically an unexploded bomblet every couple of metres in S. Lebanon. 4) I thought the key issue was getting out soldiers back. But no, apparently - as usual - only the pro-arab side of the resolution is important.
15. Nasraalah the rat knows.....
DR ,   Florida, USA   (11.01.07)
that if Israel is hit again, his hideout (Lebanon) wil be carpet bombed. Is he willing to kill Lebanese civilans again? And all for what?
16. Oh man
Cameron ,   USA   (11.01.07)
Do the Lebanese honestly realize that Southern Lebanon & Beirut would be stomped flat if such rockets were ever to be used against Tel Aviv? Talk about tempting fate.
17. UN Resolutions Provide No Results
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (11.01.07)
The UN Resolution called for a cease fire and the disarming of "all militias." Yet to date Hezbollah has not disarmed. It has in fact re-armed and is apparently stronger than before. Last time Israel tried to recover her soldiers (still not accomplished on ANY front). Now she has to worry about actual full out military attack...Are we prepared for the coming war? If not, the time to prepare is NOW. If we are not already too late.
18. Fortunately for Nasrallah Olmert was Impotent b4 Cancer
meir elazar   (11.01.07)
Fortunately for Nasrallah Olmert was totally impotent before the prostate cancer. If the damage last summer was any indicator, just imagine what would have been done by a real leader who know how to command the army and nation. The next aggression (kidnapping or any form) dependent on proper leadership should result in massive annexations of Southern Lebanon to expand the distance of their missiles to Tel Aviv widening the buffer zone as required. In other words, their technological capabilities should work AGAINST THEM resulting a greater loss of land to expanded buffer zones.
19. and in other news in Lebanon

20. Justice for peace
Nada Saleh ,   usa   (11.01.07)
So, "Israel" finally acknowledged the fact that next round, Tel-Aviv will be under fire. Not only Tel-Aviv. All "ISrael", because Sayyed Nasrallah declared Hizbollah has rockets that can reach ANY SPOT in occupied Palestine. I remember someone from Kiriat Shmona saying, during the Julty 2006 aggression against Lebanon, that after he leaves the shelter, he will pack with his family and leave to the farthest place in "ISrael" from Lebanon, to Eilat. Well, that's not useful anymore. Now, the best thing you can do if you want a REAL LIFE, is go to the only international airport in "Israel", the airport in Tel-Aviv, and leave "Israel" to where you came from before the only international airport becomes history too. Really, this is not the life you dreamed of when you came to "Israel". You thought it will be a "secure and safe homeland" where you can live in peace, right? Well look around you. Is that "secure"? "safe"? any close to "happy"? The Jews now are safe and secure ANYWHERE in the world EXCEPT in occupied Palestine, simply because you can't steal and kill without paying for it. Return the land to its people, go to where you belong, and live a real peaceful life. Justice: This is the keyword for peace.
21. #20, says the women from the US
Danny   (11.01.07)
I assume you support americans killing arab immigrants and repeatedly bombing Dearborn until you return the land you currently occupy? We heard all this crap for six years. The worst of your missiles killed less people than a drunk kid on shabbat on Kvish ha'hof. Whereas we never stop hearing Lebanese and Palestinian whinning about the "disproportionate" attacks on them....
22. #20 Nada
Chatich   (11.01.07)
I assume your name refers to the amount of grey-matter between your ears, but that aside, the quotation marks in your nonsensical post surround the wrong noun - Israel being a legitimate sovereign nation, while "palestine" is a fictional, manufactured entity. Try and learn the rules of grammar before attempting to actually use them.
