1. Result: Create a "safe-haven" for terrorists.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (11.02.07)
The PA will demonstrate it's usual ineptness at governing. As soon as IDF withdraws, Nablus will become a center for terrorists from which to launch attacks. You can't even be sure the PA forces won't be terrorists. As for the American general - his success training Fatah forces in Gaza speaks for itself.
2. BottomLine:: Paving the way for Hamas takeover from PA!

We need disposable allies-before they dispose of us.
4. HOW SOON BEFORE HAMAS TAKES OVER NABLUS?
stude ham   (11.02.07)
Thanks to the absolutely corrupt fatah leadership... in about 30 seconds.
5. IDF DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE
Sam   (11.02.07)
Of transfering security responsibility to PA. They are bunch of criminals that can not be trusted in all sphere. PA is asking for TRANSFER in a ploy to cede it to Hamas in a dramatic riot and pretend to be weak to contain Hamas latter. They have perfected this plan where Hamas will also capture their ammunitions, it will form an alternative arms supply to the cash bereaved Hamas govt. Why on earth should this be contemplated seeing the effect of Gaza withdrawal and the empting of arms to Hamas in the last dramatic riot in june . Hamas already boasted that Westbank will be in their controls soon, what is it that makes Hamas different in fighting if not that PA is playing on the intelligence of those who wants them to cheat ISRAEL .PPPPPPlllllleeeeaaaasssseeee rrrrrreeeeeaaaassssssoooooonnn.
6. if a Hamas take over will open peoples eyes to the reality
zionist forever   (11.02.07)
Lets home Hamas does take over Nablus the way they took over Gaza maybe that will wake up the US and Olmert that you give weapons to the corupt terror group called Fatah with their corupt holocaust denying leader Abbas then soon enough when the likes of Hamas take over those weapons will be in the hands of the people who dont pretend to be your friends while they plot to shoot you in the back. Hamas at least dont pretend to be your friends.
7. Of 300 "Pal Officers",most are Hamas infiltrators.-
Alan ,   SA   (11.02.07)
The same set up is all over Muslim East. eg Maliki is Mayor of Baghdad-his gov cant stop terros. His security forces are infiltrated. Musharaff is mayor of Islamabad -Ditto Kharzai is mayor of Kabul -Ditto Signora is mayor of Beirut -Ditto Mubarak is Caretaker of Cairo-watch this space!!! King of Jordan has majority of Pals What does any sane person think will happen if Israel withdraws now from Nablus leaving Abbas "in charge" There is now a halt to Barrier construction for last few months .. I suppose that Nightly raids will stop in Nablus by IDF Get ready for outbreaks of Bombing again .
8. Rice the racist
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.02.07)
Condoleeza Rice is a racist. She supports the Arabs in setting up a new country, at the expense of the only Jewish country. Today she also declared that the stateless Kurds are her enemies and will work with the Turks and Arabs of Iraq to destroy them. So Arabs and and Turks deserve a country, Jews and Kurds don't.
9. #1-6 deploy?, even without condemning qassams or Darfur?
observer   (11.02.07)
10. Deployement is in both side's best interest
Rami ,   Nazareth, Isreal   (11.02.07)
It is in Israel's bet interest to have a strong focrce loyal to abbas present in Nablus so they can hunt down and dismantle any Hamas loyal armed group. Moreover, they will do a better job in keeping the peace and arresting criminals that Israel is doing.
11. #10 I hope you are right...but would you like to place a bet
jack bauer   (11.03.07)
I would wager 100$ right now with anyone who thinks that nablus will become a peace loving town and fatah is capable/willing to dimantle any terror. What kind of time limit should we put on it?
