In order to replace the equivalent amount of energy dispensed from a typical single American gas station, one would need to cover the entire state of Rhode Island in solar panels! Now multiply that by the thousands of gas stations plus thousands of power stations across the USA. Solar energy is a red herring, as is bio fuel. The only viable alternative source of energy is found in the oceans in the form of waves. For example, one could supply the entire energy requirements of the state of California with a wave generator farm covering just 100 square miles (10miles X 10miles). (Waves are large batteries storing solar energy as kinetic energy that can easily be converted to electrical energy.)

Mineral wealth waxes and wanes. Does anyone reading this recall the last ME boom in the 1970s? By 1980 it seemed the global economy was about to be overrun completely by ME oil potentates. Then the bottom fell out of the oil market and the same folks were looking to the west for handouts. Today, the Saudis and Iranians (and the Russians and Venezuelans to boot) are pumping the ground as fast as they can. However, their production can only run at peak capacity for so long before field yields start to decline. Declining production means declining revenues. Mind you, all this will happen just as Canadian and US midwest oil shale petro-equivalents start hitting the market in major quantities. I'm not so sanguine about hitching my future to the ME oil patch.

Pedicabs don't use petrol -- so they don't pollute the air of the city. IF this could be introduced in ALL the cities throughout the world -- we would have cleaner air to breathe, healthy citizens (= medical bills would thus be small) and it would also be good for the CLIMATE of the world. BTW the United Arab Emirates's oil stock will be DEPLETED by 2017. The most important investment is investing in the EDUCATION of its children. Educated and inventive citizens -- that is the REAL wealth of a country. THIS wealth will out-last the oil-wealth. One may have oil-wealth today -- but GONE tomorrow. SO, send the Gazans to Saudi Arabia -- they have plenty of land, i.e. more than 1.9 million square kilometres, and very little population, i.e. only 27 million inhabitants. And the West Bank Arabs -- they can also go to Saudi Arabia to work.

Conclusion : Allah and Elohim are different names of the Supreme Lord. Why are you despondent ? Is it because the Saudis and Gulf Arabs have a huge foreign exchange surplus ? The rewarding of wealth to someone -- that is NOT a sign that the Supreme Lord is favouring that someone. NO !! That is not a fact. Conversely, a poverty-stricken person -- it is NOT a sign that the Supreme Lord is punishing that person. NO !! That is not a fact.

By so doing you are condoning and encouraging human suffering not by poverty but by political and social oppression of the weak and the different.
