1. Oy, Piss Now guys, get a life!
JPS ,   Efrat   (11.05.07)
For years the (in my opinion) disgusting large minority of Beitar fans would always spend some time every game chanting "death to Arabs" (mavet l'aravim). Much, much worse than showing that their IQ equals their shoe size by cheering for Yigal Amir. Did Oppenheimer and Beilin give a hoot then? Kind of like when the Pals put a bomb on a donkey and tried to kill Israelis by the border crossing on Hwy 60 by Beit Jalla. Thank G-d nobody was killed except the donkey, prompting some animal rights group to condemn the Pals for abusing animals. The rights organization didn't seem to care that the Pals were on their merry campaign to kill human beings.
2. Networking
World Citizen ,   World   (11.05.07)
Have they ever thought about networking with other fascist fan-scenes in Europe or so? I hear there are a couple of them around. Especially in Italy and England and Germany. There twist history and make perps the victims and heroize them. They also take pride in racially abusing Blacks and Arabs and Muslims. Ok, sometimes they also abuse the Jews and glamorize the Shoa but: Hey, what the heck? Isn't racism the greater goal they are all working for?
3. so much for freedom of speech

4. batar fans
jimmy ,   paris   (11.05.07)
Batar fans who deared speake their mind in democratic way will soon learn the real truth of how much democratic their country really is
5. There was an important demonstration in Jerusalem
Canadian Otter   (11.05.07)
Knesset Members, prominent rabbis and leaders of the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria (Yesha) addressed thousands of Jews Sunday night protesting against discussions being held between Condoleezza Rice, Ehud Olmert and Quartet Mideast envoy Tony Blair, who represented the U.S., Russia, United Nations and European Union. Olmert is reportedly planning to release more terrorists --- this time with Jewish blood on their hands --- as another "good will gesture" to Abbas. http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/124145
6. Just a Bunch of Stupid Soccer Fans
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (11.05.07)
Nothing to get excited about. Ignore them.
7. The Temple of the false prophet has no whorshipers
Jimmy   (11.05.07)
Ha ha ha ha ............. Do you get the picture?
8. To praise a cold blooded killer - disgusting
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (11.05.07)
There is not much more that one can say except that the behavior of the Beitar Jerusalem fans is typical of their rabble like mentality. We have seen their violent and disgraceful actions over and over. Quite frankly, Maccabi Haifa should have walked off the field in protest. We should remember that a famous Beitar fan, Bibi Netanyahu, gave away Hebron and left 400 Jews there at the mercy of 160,000 terrorists! Strange that the extreme right don't boo him! I wonder what the reaction would be in the USA if baseball fans praised Lee Harvey Oswald.
9. politics or sport
Alon   (11.05.07)
Choose. If some have a right to a moment of silence - others have a right to defend the opposite position. Rabin wasn't a saint - he damaged the lives of thousands and wrote off a huge section of the population. This never-ending quest to turn him into a saint is disgusting. Amir wasn't right to kill him - to praise Amir for that act is wrong too - but Rabin's memory is NOT a blessing for all.
10. Punish Beitar?
Amnon   (11.05.07)
Because some of their fans screamed out nonsense at a game? What kind of craziness is this?
11. Piss Now get a life!
Avraham ,   Netivot   (11.05.07)
12. Betar fans are idiots, I would have chanted Ygal's son name
Moshe   (11.05.07)
13. You can not fool the people
freejay ,   Israel   (11.05.07)
They all know the Rabin murder was a set up. Although Amir did attempt murder, it is clear he didnt actually do it and was set up as a patsy. Any moron can see the doctored video doesnt make sense and has many mistakes. Peres knows the truth and should take the place of amir......Very convenient Rabin gets killed just when he was about to blow the lid on Peres!
14. Only the left can now express its opinion ?!
redmiike ,   tel aviv   (11.05.07)
A huge number of Israelis see Rabin as a major contributor to today's problems. Whether they are correct or not they should not be muzzled or penalized. Why can't "such behavior be tolerated" ? Fortunately it appears that this will be Mertez's last appearance in the Knesset - and good riddance. Hopefully I will not be censured and censored for expressing a view that the left doesn't like?!
15. BETAR
sas ,   israel   (11.05.07)
1. the judges on the SPOT should have cancelled the game. 2. Betar should not be allowed to play for a year. 2. no fans should be allowed into the stadium for at least a year after they begin playing again. 3. they really should be dismantled as a group. Look at the generation that is growing up. Is this the society we want to live in?? I certainly do not want to be here if this is what is going to go on. IT IS DISGUSTING. No apology from anyone is acceptable in my eyes.
16. The People speak.
Daniel Cohen ,   Israel   (11.05.07)
First of all, it's freedom of speech. Secondly, it's important to recognize that Israel's citizens are cognizant of how Israel really got screwed since Oslo. It is unpleasant to cheer anyone's murder. However, Israel is in the hole that it is today much because of Oslo. To that there is no denying,
17. Why Majadele simply not to declair Bnei Sakhnin champion???
Yossi ,   Lod   (11.05.07)
18. Thought police in action.... a true Bolshevik mentality
Ariel ,   Judean Hills   (11.05.07)
19. While this is quite a tasteless display ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (11.05.07)
But it does illustrate people's disgust with the attempt to re-write history to present Rabin as some kind of heroic figure. His policies were a failure. Everyone knows it. But the Leftist loonies cannot stand the truth - in the name of some bizarre "self-righteous indignation" these moral midgets want to impose a new kind of censorship so that their failed ideas appear unchallenged. As much as it is deplorable to make a hero out of a murderer, it is equally deplorable to make a hero out of his victim. Today, 12 years later, the issue is not the murder or the murderer. The issue is the rational examination of the policies begun at that time. We should not be changing the subject & be distracted by a side-show.
20. Most Israelis are against Rabin and anti the Liberal/Left
Eliezer ,   Beitar   (11.05.07)
21. The crowd is right -
Shalom   (11.05.07)
What Beilin and his cohorts don't like is that they are beginning to realise that perhaps they are in the minority. Most see Rabin for what he was.
22. Beitar's Management acted correctly
the fans didn't   (11.05.07)
23. How the mightly have fallen! what would Mr. Begin z'l say?
Fans are wrong!   (11.05.07)
24. Gali!
David ,   Sydney   (11.05.07)
25. People are simply sick of Rabin/Amir cult
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.05.07)
They went to see a football game and not to hear Gefen in Tel Aviv. It is a sorry thing, but it is a basic mistake of those who have elevated Rabin beyond human dimensions to think that the whole universe should march in lock step. Shouting Amir is imbecilic and childish, but this was a footbal game and not a chess match.
26. Israel as a country is in trouble.
Mark Kerlen ,   Canada   (11.05.07)
Support for Amir, the killer of Israel's Prime Minister, is not an isolated phenomenon. People will leave the country; diaspora jewry will be further alienated - asking why Israel / why defend it, if it cheers the murder of its Prime Minister.
27. #13 Freejay
Shalom   (11.05.07)
Good on you! I agree 100% with every word you write here.
28. #19 Terry, Eilat
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.05.07)
(Rabin's) "policies were a failure. Everyone knows it". Gosh, Terry, thank you for enlightening those who didn't know that. Maybe we could now benefit from your brilliance to tell us whose policies have been a success and have brought us "40 years of calm" ?
29. #13 should be detected and castrated by the Shabak
my opinion   (11.05.07)
30. Israel's Soccer Yobs
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (11.05.07)
These are simply the same mindless morons you see at British soccer names. The only difference? They are Hebrew-speaking. They are hardly newsworthy.
