31. How to be a Beitar Fan
Shaka   (11.06.07)
Ever wonder how people become Beitar Fans: You must be primitive, dumb, ignorant, harry, smelly, loud, ugly, enjoy beating your wife, brawling with people smaller than you, have no ambition, a have a huge Ego. Intelligent people that think Rabin's plan was a huge mistake can still recognize that he was a Hero, a Leader of our nation, a patriot who loved Israel and a Jew. Those mental midgets that bood a murdered prime minister of Israel, who support his murderer are no better than the Arab Terrorists and their society of death and destruction. Just because you disagreed with Rabin's choices to make Israel a better place doesn't mean you should disrespect his memory. I too think Rabin erred in bringing back Arafat and his thugs but i understand that Rabin did it because he beleived he could give Israel peace with the Arabs. I am ashamed of the Beitar Fans and the Amir supporters. They are worse than a Million Arafats. They are a disgrace to the Jewish People.
32. Leftist hatred is responsible for Jewish deaths
Yonatan ,   Los Angeles   (11.06.07)
33. Only 5 out of 28 talkbacks agree with Yair.
Judy ,   MEDIA WATCH   (11.06.07)
This clearly shows that most reasonable people are opposed to Rabin's left legacy.
34. ISRAEL: THE ONLY PLACE A JEW CAN BE A NAZI!!
David ,   Los Angeles   (11.06.07)
No wonder most Jews outside Israel don't want anything to do with it. If we want to see Nazi soccer fans we can see them at home, where at least they are not Jews nor defended by other Jews!
35. Yeah throw them in jail!
John Luck   (11.06.07)
They've committed a thought crime! Lock em up and throw away the key!
36. Altalena and Oslo
John Luck   (11.06.07)
Rabin deserves all the boos he got and more. He machinegunned the innocent Jewish heroes aboard the Altalena in cold blood. And he caused thousands more to die or be injured through his disastrous Oslo Accords.
37. To #23, Are you serious???
Jack Klaber ,   r   (11.06.07)
WHAT AN IDIOTIC POST! TOSETTHERECORDSTRAIGHT: If this is all the "dirt" that you can swoop up, then we can all go on with our daily business and ignore you and your cry. And regarding your question: 'it probably takes one to know one......"
38. To #13 & #15 & 16 - So you know.......
Jack Klaber ,   R.Hasharon, Israel   (11.06.07)
Dear Non-hater #13, I sincerely believe whatever those "elitist leftist academics" were telling was not meant for you. I also am quite sure that most of those "elitist leftist academics" do not believe that whatever they said will have any impact on what that crowd of hooligans, misfits and "fans" will think and ultimately put into action. I hope for you that you have made the right choice in making up who the haters are. Dear Elchanan #15 from the city of our Forefathers or from Texas?? If this is your measuring stick then I would strongly advise you inspect this stick once more. Do you know what Jews suffered? What is your point here? These "fans" are a crowd of followers who blindly follow their leader ("Fuehrer" in good German) Herr Football and will kill for him when this will become "necessary" and opportune. I clearly make a distinction between football hooligans and fascist football hooligans. Like you today, I lived also in a football “crazy” country, having played football myself and going to football games frequently. I know what was going on in the stadiums, alas some 40 years ago. When complete drunken fans are starting to get nasty, it is their basic instinct that comes out. When quite sober fans are getting drunk by slogans shouted by professional provocateurs then this is fascist behavior. “The120,000 hate feast at kikar rabin the other night tore apart the right?” If that is what you saw and heard, then we speak and hear two different languages and I can only conclude that שינת חינם will destroy our nation from within. Dear Dan #16, I salute you as a left wing Israeli who will fight for your right to express your ideas and political way of reaching our mutual goal, the future of our nation and people. The way you distance yourself from these hooligans is honorable. I hope you will return to Israel soon to strengthen the honorable right wing. I am not in all aspects a left winger: I am convinced that no Arab country wants peace with us and every Arab nation, party, leader or group is only interested in achieving the ultimate goal of getting us out of here. Each Arab nation, party, leader or group has his own plan of how to achieve this. I am convinced that by playing their hand we may win many battles but not, ultimately, the game. For that my parents did not survive the camps and for that I did not raise a wonderful family here in Israel. One child already finished the army, another is right now in an elite fighting unit and another child will enter the army next year.
39. Give the monkeys a bannana
SJ ,   TA Israel   (11.06.07)
Quite like any other pack of baboons really , maybe what they were out of bannans? its hard to tell with all the grunts and groans they ommit and apparnetly its all about 2 teams of 11 men aside kicking a ball around.
40. 50% of the nation seems to be sick of Rabin deification
(11.06.07)
41. Agree with Dr.Galili. Soccer needs good Fans!
Rebab   (11.06.07)
42. Because of idiots like Galili
AM Israel   (11.06.07)
who masturbate on Rabin's memory, it happens to be politically correct to release murderers of jews with blood in their hands, while calls hatred when the people spell out what reality looks like And Rabin DOES have blood in his hands- or not?
43. #33 Here is what it proves
very simple   (11.06.07)
Most talkbacks here are made by a new breed of American fascists who either live in Israel or don't. These people wouldn't dare voicing similar opinions in their home country.
44. # 31 -Shaka EXPRESSED EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS
mr ,   israel   (11.06.07)
Am absolutely revolted by those who find the need to compare / refer and apply the term "Nazi" in their TB's.
45. MORAL CONFUSSION NR 12 JACK
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (11.06.07)
Being a child of survivors myself, I can only say, SHAME on you to compare israeli soccer fans with nazi brown shirts. You are the product of a typical secular zionist brainwased humanist. The media and intuelectual self loathing jews likegalili, have been shuffing their global paganism down our throats for years and are using Rabin just as a vehicle for their agenda that includes the destruction of the jewish soul of the people of this land. This is not about right or left, this is about our identity as a people with a moral obligation to live in this land according to rules handed down at sinai. The snobby attitude of gallili calling these fans backyard dirt, just shows the disrespect of our enlightend secular humanists. These are the guys that go to the army ,eat dirt and do the jobs galili and his likes will never do. These are the salt of the earth israelis paying a daily price for the failed policies of our elite friends living in ivory towers, out of touch with reality. Israel and its foundations are bankrupt and many people see that. So these fans are just expressing their opinion ,which is their right.
46. If you want to make sure that people boo Rabin's memory
Jonathan ,   Israel   (11.06.07)
I can think of no better way than forcing a memorial ceremony on them before a football match is scheduled to start. Apart from the fact that he was murdered, I can think of no reason why Rabin's memory should be more sacred than that of any other politician. There is no more a "Rabin legacy" than there is say a "Shamir legacy". May he rest in peace and his supporters leave the rest of us in peace.
47. Re: #31 Shaka
Joe ,   US   (11.06.07)
" too think Rabin erred in bringing back Arafat and his thugs but i understand that Rabin did it because he beleived he could give Israel peace with the Arabs. " Why did he think he could make peace with the Arabs? Didn't Israeli intelligence warn him that the Oslo Accords would have dire consequences for Israel and didn't he ignore them at the expense of thousands of lives? Didn't he run on the platform of "no negotiating with terrorists" while holing secret talks with the PLO? Sorry dear but not everyone sees him as virtuous. Murdring Jews on the Altalena is part of his legacy too. On that account Saint Yitzhak should have been tried and hanged long ago.
48. me thinks the Left doth profess too much
izzy d   (11.06.07)
given the context it is almost impossible to have an opinion without seemingly taking a side. however, with the help of a disclaimer, maybe i can come across ass less an a apologist and more an analyst. a moment of silence for a murdered prime minister on the day of his death at a public forum such as a soccer game is not asking for too much, regardless of the obvious opinions of the beitar fans. and the booing of the murdered prime minister during that moment of silence is a bit abnormal for mature young adults, not to be condoned or to be considered acceptable at any level. that said, there is a big"however". to the right, the memory of yitzchak rabin symbolizes the (criminal) failure of the oslo accords, and the lefts insane devotion to peace with the enemy, war with their own brothers (the right). add to the double standard the right is held to regarding their democratic rights of freedom of expression. the left will praise a book labeling israeli governmental policy as "apartheid" yet go bezerk at the sound of booing. freedom of expression dose not apply to the right wing and the religious. (i heard a left winger call for the death of sharon one year and the next condemn the religious praying for his death (before the disengagement and after). the calls for releasing a terrorist mastermind with the blood of tens of israeli citizens on his hands is considered good faith politics yet the thought of allowing igal amir to attend his sons circumcision is met by howls of disbelief and outrage by the the left. the booing was not a comment on the murder of rabin for the most part, but directed towards the left and their monopolization of a national tragedy.
49. Here is a question for you
Felix ,   Israel   (11.06.07)
Why do we all have to commemorate Rabin's assassination ? Just because he was a political figure and a soldier who gave himself to the army for the sake of the citizens of Israel, doesn't mean that we should say his name before we go to bed, make a dinner, or take a shower. That is exactly what the media and press try to enjoin. Why on earth do football fans and Beitar supporters have to stand and listen to what a hero Rabin was. Wasn't the ceremony held at Rabin's square enough? For the purpose of commemorating the person, that is. Why don't we do anything in remembrance of Hertzel, Rotschild, Begin, Raphael Eitan, Balfur, etc before a football match? Let's hold an hour of ceremonies of commemoration of all the important people in history and then kick off. What, Rabin has done more for the country and humanity than Alfred Nobel, just an example. The next thing will be forcing the expressing of allegiance to Rabin's legacy as a condition for getting citizenship. Foolish as that may seem, it is very likely because just a few days ago, another man of substance of the highest order expressed his concerns about granting a citizenship to jewish newcomers. Where is the common sense people?!
50. Leftists: The gift that keeps giving.
Vince P ,   Chicago   (11.06.07)
Seeing the national catastrophe that Rabin inflicted onto Israel , the Left must maintain its values which means it must deny reality (about the only thing they are consistant about). Therefore, history ends with Rabin's death. Nothing has happened since that moment. So you can understand why the Leftists are all offended by the little people's display of reality-based thinking. And dont think the Left are satisified with Rabin.. they know time moves on and old heros fade. The Left has many hopes for the next Rabin. Maybe the next Rabin will be so heroic that he will show just how brave he is by relocating the people in the former Roman province of Palestine to a location that shows the Jewish people's character of not-being offensive to anyone.. maybe Atantis.. or El Dorado, or Shagri la. After all, where will the Left get its national heros if no one rises up to give the nation away? I must be one of those American fascists someone was talking about earlier. I'm proud to be viewed as a fascist if the person doing the viewing is a Leftist.. I hope to never be viewed with favored by them, as i dont like to be in the same category of people that the Left admire, the real enemies of Israel.
51. It was Leftists...
Itai ,   Haifa   (11.06.07)
that founded the state of Israel.. Ironic now how people who have benefited from the Heroic sacrifices that the old generation made, now feel at liberty to lecture us on how the 'leftists' are destroying Israel. If it wasnt for people like Rabin, these talkbalkers excusing his murderers wouldnt even have a country, let alone a forum to express their views. And btw, the founders of the country were not derogatorily referred to as "leftists", they were simply Israelis. Same thing for those who were on the right wing that contributed to the State, they were Israeli's. Everyone here, stop blaming everything on "leftists", you sound ridiculous and pathetic! What does honoring a slain Prime Minister have to do with "leftists," He was an Israeli first and last. And for what it is worth, I consider myself on the center right of the political spectrum.
52. #47 Joe
Shaka   (11.06.07)
Sinat Hinam/Free Hatred or Jews Hating Jews is what brought about the Destruction of the Temples the Jews expulsion from Israel for thousands of years. It seems it is people like you, Yigal Amir and the Beitar fans that have not learned this lesson yet. Those who do not learn the lessons of history are bound to repeat them. I hope you and your hatefilled friends don't bring the rest of AM ISRAEL with you. I repeat I am no fan of Rabin's Oslo fiasco but I have no doubt his intentions were to benefit Israel. Hanging a Prime Israel. . . what are you two years old. . . I hope you don't teach your children this ugly hatred. You sound like a brain washed terrorist.
53. the left
JL ,   israel   (11.06.07)
i am secular...i am not a right winger...but i am sick and tired of the way the left constantly tries to smear us with guilt and shame about everything...apart from going down on their knees for everything and anybody anti israeli all they do is whine...i cannot stand them
54. Freedom of
OS ,   Israel   (11.06.07)
55. Freedom of Speech
OS ,   Israel   (11.06.07)
The issue here is freedom of speech - or should I say the lack thereof in Israel. Yes, it's on the books as a legal right but it does not really exist. If the average citizen had the right to truly speak out - and no, I am not in favor of any violence - but people need to express themselves and politicians need to listen. We have a minority of leftists, ruling this country, refusing to hear what the citizens are saying - which only leads to uncontrolled behavior. Let's go back to basics - the people have a voice, the politicians have to listen and then represent the people - then, and only then will things change
56. Shaka # 52 What do you know about Sinat Hinam
BUSH ,   USA   (11.06.07)
The Torah says "Don't hate your brother in your heart." What makes Rabin someone elses brother when he didn't act as one. Would a brother kill you to appease others Rabins intentions were not based on the Torah but rather of his small puny little brain thinking he can outsmart G-d and benefit Israel. G-d said no he said yes. Therefore Jews are allowed to hate him just like we can hate Jesus or Karl Marx, Ariel sharon or anyone else that thought from their limited brain capacity that they are benefiting Israel and not seeking Torah advice If they don't follow the Torah for the sake of other peoples lives; Neither should anybody follow the Torah for their lifes sake and it's okay to hate him.
57. galilli ,you are wrong!
oded   (11.06.07)
why is ""correct"" for those gathered in the rabin squre to bellittle and disparage the ""rght wing", on stage ,live in front of the whole nation , and it is incorrect for beitar's fans to voice thier opinions/ just because you may not agree with thier views , it is thier RIGHT to ovice it. in a stadium , or any where else they seek. freedom of speech, the same kind you are excercising now. so think before writing such a hatefull and inciting article about a group of people that happens to think opposite of you.
58. Stadium of traitors & 5th columns, all should be deported
Rami ,   Nazareth, Israel   (11.06.07)
59. to #12 Are you stupid or what?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.06.07)
The real fascists are the leftists that want to take away freedom of speech from everyone, but themselves and their arab terrorist allies. You want to cry? Cry for the victim's of rabin's and peres' oslo death accords. Rabin was an old man. What about all the Jewish babies, children and young families that were killed or crippled? How many were killed by weapons rabin and peres supplied to the terrorists? How many were killed by methods they learned from the filth of the c.i.a. and other goons sent to teach them by clinton and bush? Let the people boo an anti hero. Let them boo those who helped our enemies to kill our people.
60. Get a life Dr Galili - noboday actually cares
S Judah ,   London   (11.07.07)
about the cult of Rabin, a Great General, a terrible Prime Minister. Everyones moved on since then, only the sad rump of whats left of the left think there is any significance or lessons to be learned from all this nonsense. We don't agree with murder, but why hide the facts. As PM he was very decisive on major issues for which he had no Jewish Mandate, displaying an unbelievable level of callousness and arrogance.
