it's time to change the rules. it's time to change the leadership in gaza. and it's time to convince people like this that it's just too costly to abduct israelis. it's time to resume intensive idf operations in gaza.

The Israeli government could care less about Gilad Shalit. If they wanted his release, they would release Palestinian prisoners, who include not just guerrilla fighters, but also peace activists, pro-democracy activists, grassroots resistance activists, and political leaders. Many are in "administrative detention" without charges and without trial. Release the political prisoners, and get Gilad Shalit back, as well as the 2 soldiers captured on the Lebanon border.
10. I have not forgotten him....
Neil Turner ,   Watford, UK   (11.07.07)
Please be assured that I have not forgotten Gilad. I remember him in my prayers every day, praying specifically that the Lord would strenthen and comfort him, reveal his location, and finally rescue him from his captors. I do believe there are many Christians who also bear him up. God is faithful, and whwrever Golad is, the Lord is right there with him
11. palestiniane prisoners???
Nabulsi ,   Nablus   (11.07.07)
what about the 10,000 palestiniane prisoners in the Israeli Gail???
12. Gilad; kidnapped or wanted
(11.07.07)
Israel used to throw its elite force disguised as journalists or so in the hostile territories and leave them to find their way out derived only by instinct of survival. This instinct involves taking human shield and the best of it is a militant putting his weapon down, sleeping in his house; for his mates would not fire back in assistance. As objectives justify means, there is also no problem take an Arab boy as shield and guide, actually videoed. Is that wanted fake or real, it's only up to the "enemy" to decide. Palestinians had more than reason to call Gilad wanted.
13. Arab prisoners
Freda   (11.07.07)
You know who and where your family is and have contact with them How can you compare this with the abduction of Gilad Shalit? Can you allow a red cross visit???
14. #13 certainly it is comparable!
observer   (11.07.07)
Israel has mighty army, Palestinians has only organized militia group, and that's the aspect which is not comparable. So, how could Palestinians invite a red cross visit? before the red cross visit taking place, Israel will storm the place and kill the militia and civilians, and that's another difference.
15. now we know
JL ,   israel   (11.07.07)
that if our sons are captured the kadima government will not do much at all to redeem them
16. solution
mari 10 ,   far away   (11.07.07)
just turn off elecricity to all gaza, and it's over
17.  Israel would come now to activity.
Asher ,   Finland   (11.07.07)
Electricity and water close down to Gaza that provided Gilad Shalit is released. Or large the handover of the prisoners.
18. In the ELS bible codes, Gilad Shalit's name appears in the
Rivkah   (11.09.07)
codes at the surface text of the bible story of Joseph being sold by the Midianites to the Egyptians. At first I thought that was hopeful for Gilad Shalit since Joseph survived. But Joseph was never released even though he rose to a high position in Eqypt as a slave, second only to Pharoah. Joseph's imprisonment by Potiphar lasted 13 years. I am hopeful Gilad Shalit is the antitypical Joseph in some ways but not all ways since Joseph was not released but prospered in his captivity. Since Gilad Shalit's name is at the verse about Joseph being sold to the Egyptians, I was hoping the Egyptians could negotiate for Gilad Shalit's release to them, to be returned at that point. It is easier to see in retrospect the meaning of a person's name and the location of it in the Bible. But it is wonderful that the Lord considered Gilad Shalit and wrote about him thousands of years ago.
19. Gilad Shalit is my prayer adoption.
Asher ,   Finland   (11.09.07)
To my mind came from Bible place ( in my prayer ), which I will believe suitable to this situation. Isaiah 49:25-26. 25. But thus says Yahweh, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children. Perhaps Israel must give up many prisoners in exchange. http://www.mountainsofzion.com/
