1. Will The So Called Human Rights Doctors Shut Up?
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (11.12.07)
The patent absurdity of any 'human rights' organization to demand that Israel treat ANY citizen from an enemy entity is outlandish, and certainly NOT humane - to Israel's Jews. Where is it written that Jews have to treat the enemy population? Did the US treat the Japanese and Germans during WW 2, regardless of their medical conditions? IF these pathetic doctors are so concerned for these ill patients let them fly them to countries where their people are NOT trying to kill the 'host' country population!
2. Who's going to pay for him? Not by my TAXES! NEVER
Alex ,   TA   (11.12.07)
3. Dying terrorist: so now I need to care?
(11.12.07)
4. health
colin   (11.12.07)
Why must Israel help these people. They have vouwed to destroy Israel.Let them go to Egypt.Iran.Saudi arabia or any arab country. The court has no authority to force the security of Israel to accept these terrorists.
5. What kind of state that scare from dieing man
Hakeem ,   Gaza   (11.12.07)
You can expect any thing from that state.
6. Can't he go Egypt or Sweden?
Dr. Jack ,   Canada   (11.12.07)
Can he go to Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria or even Sweden, who loves the Palestinans so much!! Why should Israeli tax payers pay for his treatment, while his brethern flood Israel with rockets and mortars every day?
7. How can a dying man pose a security threat?
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (11.12.07)
They are going to die anyway, might as well blow themselves up in a hospital full of Jews. I can't believe YNet is running these propaganda sob stories toi provide enemies with free medical care, and yet at the same time portray the Jewish religious community as subhumans who don't deserve even the minimum of assistance that all these Arabs must receive.
8. simple
Ora ,   Jerusalem   (11.12.07)
Let's see--how can a 21-year-old Muslim man from radicalized, terrorist-controlled Gaza who has nothing to lose and is facing death in any case pose a security threat? Is this really a question? I appreciate that PHR and other "human rights groups" just want to help the underdog, but at some point they have to shut up and let the army do its work.
9. Hamas doesn't care this man b'cos he too ill 2fire rockets!
KMR ,   Middle East   (11.12.07)
10. security
(11.12.07)
in the security aspect, israel has to very carefully examine its security concerns on a system of case by case basis. this man, viewed by most israelis as an enemy of the state may be so. however, we are jews and we are bound by the laws of torah and god to be humane, civil, caring and do the right and decent thing. two wrongs do not make a right. the fact that some palestinians are murderous terrorists and so affect the image of the rest of the palestinian population should be taken into account. doctors all over the world take the hypocrates oath to treat and provide care for anyone regardless of their affiliation. we jews are human beings first, then worriors secod. let's show ourselves and the world that we have not forgotten who we are and what we believe in. give this man the care he needs. he will never be able to recieve it from any other arab country better in israel for him. there once was a little girl in marjayoun whose parents were bombed continuously during the first war in lebanon. the mother suffered much damage and her daughter rushed her through israeli checkpoints at the gvool, border, into israel for medical care. she was an arab christian whose mother was bombed by palestinian plo gun fire. the israelis drove her and mother to the hospital where they stayed for many weeks. the care and love she experienced at the hands of the israelis be it in the army or in the operating room was to remain with this little girl's memory for an eternity. today, she is called brigitte gabriel and is the number one voice against terrorist islam, plo, hamas, hizbullah and fatah. maybe this young man can follow in her steps. inshallah!
11. What's wrong with Gaza hospitals? Egypt? Jordan? Syria?
(11.12.07)
Hamas hasn't done a danged thing to improve hospitals/schools except for setting up firing ranges from them. Every day missles are fired into Israel and it's Israels fault for not wanting to let these people in? Give me a break! If they need treatment, what's wrong with Egypt, Jordan, or Syria? Why don't their terrorist brothers reach out and help them? Oh, that's right... because their brothers hate them too.
12. Gaza is at war wtih Israel. Only prisoners of war should be
Rivkah   (11.12.07)
treated by Israeli doctors and hospitals. The release of Gilad Shalit might soften my heart a little bit toward those unthankful wretches the Lord despises in Gaza.
13. I wonder if anyone remembers....
Steve ,   UK   (11.12.07)
the female cancer patient from Gaza who was welcomed, treated, got better, then decided to strap on a bomb and tried to hit the very hospital that treated her. The bomb never went off. That's gratitude.
14. How can a suicidebomber kill without dieing?
DANNY ,   America   (11.12.07)
just as stupid a question
15. LET'S SEND HIM TO FRANCE................
AVROHOM BILGREI ,   ZION   (11.13.07)
WHERE O----T WENT,WHY NOT ? WON'T ANYBODY BUT ISRAEL TAKE HIM ? WOULD AN ISRAELI PATIENT BE REFERED TO A PALISTINIAN HOSPITAL ? WHY COULDN'T THE PHISICIANS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS GO TO PALISTINIAN HOSPITAL ? AFTER BILIONS OF DOLLARS IN AID AND BILLIONS SPENT IN ISRAEL BY THE U.N. ,THEY DON'T HAVE THE FACILITIES ? SOMETHING STINKS ! THERE'S SOMTHING VERY CORUPT ABOUT THIS ARTICLE AND HAD I HAD ANY EXPECTATIONS I MIGHT HAVE CONSIDERED IT INSULTING !
16. Israel Forcibly Prevents Treatment Elsewhere As Well
Mr. Knowitall ,   Frostbite Falls, MN   (11.13.07)
FACT: Israel will not allow this man to be treated in US, Europe or anywhere as part of Israel’s continual 40-year-long occupation of Gaza which denies the freedom to do so to those living under Israel’s brutal occupation So quit your whining about US taxpayer funded Israeli welfare payments being used to treat this poor man Alex as you taxes are already funding far bigger criminals And to Dr. Jack “the quack” from Canada, please stop making your false claims that the patient could go elsewhere for treatment, as it far better to just let everyone think you are an idiot, rather than to remove all doubt through your post.
17. Cry me a river
RA   (11.13.07)
18. Maybe he'll get treatment in France - like his terrorist pal
(11.13.07)
19. #1 Adina sets a record for most stupid comments in 1 tkback!
Gaza City   (11.13.07)
"The patent absurdity of any 'human rights' organization to demand that Israel treat ANY citizen from an enemy entity is outlandish, and certainly NOT humane - to Israel's Jews." Huh? It's not certainly not humane to Israel's Jews? What exactly are you trying to say? "Where is it written that Jews have to treat the enemy population? Did the US treat the Japanese and Germans during WW 2?" Well the US isn't bordering Germany or Japan like Israel is Gaza, and neither country's citizens needed a permit from the US to be treated for cancer, genius! "IF these pathetic doctors are so concerned for these ill patients let them fly them to countries where their people are NOT trying to kill the 'host' country population!" Well, that WOULD work IF they were allowed to fly to these different countries you mention! I'm sure the patients, the doctors and everyone would be satisfied with that. But Israel won't allow it! You don't get it, when we say nobody can enter or leave Gaza, we mean literally!
20. Who cares
John ,   AR USA   (11.13.07)
Gaza is at war with Israel. Who is going to pay for the medical care for this terrorists?
21. Unbelievable
Cameron ,   USA   (11.13.07)
Palestinians begging & demanding medical care from Israelis even as they try to kill them on a daily basis. Good God, could the world get any more strange?
22. To Mr. Frostbite, if the brain is not frozen
Dr. Jack ,   Canada   (11.13.07)
It appear that the frostbite has frozen your brains, if you had any! The same way they can bring machine guns, mortars and expensive cars to Gaza, and how their leaders travel freely abroad to meetings, or to collect money from Arab supporters, they could have transported the man to Egypt. But taking along young girlfriends, or terrorists to be trained in Iran or Leabanon, appears to be more important. But this is too much for a frozen brain to comprehend, obviously!
23. Security Risk?
lynne ,   Texas, USA   (11.13.07)
I am Jewish and furious with the decision not to allow these Palestinian people in to Israel to receive medical care. How inhumane! We should know better than anyone that compassion and caring is required here. I hope that these patients are soon allowed in for treatment and care from those who are more compassionate than the Shin Bet bureaucrats. I am ashamed!!
24. Reply to #10 "Security"
lynne ,   Texas, USA   (11.13.07)
I agree. We are Jews and we must abide by the teachings of the Torah and the universal laws that teach us all to be compassionate. We must show compassion and caring for these people who are suffering.
25. Sorry, I'm all out of sympathy.
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (11.13.07)
While some patients *might* pose a security threat, there's no need to use a security excuse. Simply declare that Israel has no obligation to provide medical services to residents of a hostile entity. If you say it's a "security" matter the High Court will stick its nose in to second guess you. Arrangements might be made under PHR auspices to allow passage to Egypt through the Rafah Crossing, but that's it. They can't have a "war with benefits". To the unnamed #10, the story of Brigitte Gabriel doesn't fit here. She was a Christian child who suffered at the hands of the PLO in Lebanon; it didn't take much to show that the Jew hatred she was exposed to was a lie. How many Palestinians, in contrast, have studied in Israeli institutions, or been healed by Israel's doctors, and now stand with Israel? Not many I suspect.
26. re: #5 "what kind of state that scare from dieing man"
david ,   new york   (11.13.07)
well, i guess English isn't your forte. but seriously, there are 2 issues here: 1. we don't owe anything to the Terrorist State of Gaza. Go send him to your arab "brothers." They are more than happy to supply you with guns and bombs. Are they too cheap when it comes to medication? 2. The Palestinians have no morality. They use schools to launch missiles and use ambulances to transport terrorists. Maybe this guy would like to get his 72 virgins by straping a little TNT to himself. Why should we take a chance anyway?
27. Stupid questions by 10% witted people
Salameh ,   Gaza, Palestine   (11.13.07)
Why not koko-land? because your occupation state seals ALL border crossings to the outside world stupid!! Open up Rafah crossing and leave us the $#%#@$ alone
28. Cancer patient
Iamashamed ,   UK   (11.13.07)
To all the talkbacks who have wished this young man ill on this site, I have only one thing to say. I hope that you, or someone close to you, suffer the same fate as him in the near future. Perhaps then, you will learn what it is to be truly compassionate - a true Jewish virtue.
29. IMPORT AN ARAB DOCTORTO DO THE JOB
ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (11.13.07)
IF HE CAME FROM HOSTILE TERRITORY,..WHY SHOULD ISRAEL BE IMPOSED UPON? .IS IT WHEN SOMEBODY IS ILL THAT ISRAEL HAS THE RIGHT TO EXIST ?IMPORT( BONE FIDE) ARAB DOCTORS INTO THE STRIP TO DO THE JOB ....BUT LET THEM PASS ALL THE SECURITY CHECKSTHAT THIS COUNTRY.NEEDS.HOW IS IT THAT,ONLY WHEN SOMEBODY IS SERIOUSLY ILL THAT SUDDENLY ISRAEL SPRINGS INTO EXISTANCE ,?ONCETHEY ARE BETTER THE COUNTRY VANISHES ONCE AGAIN INTO OBLIVION AND OFF THE MAP.THIS IS A CLEAR CASE OF ADVANTAGE TAKING OF ISRAEL.AND HAS NOT BORN FRUITS FOR ISRAEL BY PAST PERFORMANCES.THE CONCLUSION IS THAT THIS MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN...AT LEAST NOT BEFORE"" ANAPOLIS ""...WHEN WE WILL SEE IF ISRAEL IS A RECOGNISED COUNTRY AND IS ALLOWED TO EXIST ONCE AND FOR ALL
30. we are the world
Sean Pendleton ,   Highland, Belgium   (11.13.07)
Surely we should reciprocate the kind consideration this gentleman and his democratically elected government (right, Jimmy?) provides whilst lobbing random missiles at kindergarten kids when they have serious illnesses?
