31. To #26
Dovy ,   Toronto   (11.15.07)
At least if you're going to speak about NK, Mr. "Abdullah," you should express yourself in comprehensible English. Your English is confused reflecting your confused mind. NK is not a card-carrying membership Party with official "leaders" like today's splintered "Satmar." It is a movement of opposition to Zionism, and no one has the monopoly on decisions or choices, there is no Urim Ve-Tumim, no Moetzes like the Agudah. And what R. Moshe Friedman has been doing is a great thing!
32. No. 27
NYC Girl   (11.15.07)
These people aren't "peaceniks." Their motivation is strictly religious fanaticism and their opposition to Israel is based on some half-assed theological belief. In fact, to label them as peaceniks merely plays into the hands of people like Ahmadinejad who use the NK's opposition to Zionism as proof that religious Jews are opposed to the State of Israel, which is why you'll often see these goddamn freaks being trotted out at various pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
33. #11 ignore the dress! what about the kiss?
observer   (11.15.07)
this is absolutely an old Jewish tradition. The today-Jesus is bluffed by the Friedman's kiss. Nejad has not seen Friedman's cross bought for 30 pieces of silver. You can not sell (excommunicate) a born Jew, but you can buy him for only 30 silver, no more.
34. #27 well said, thank you

36. These NK nutjobs appear found at many anti-Israel assemblies
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (11.15.07)
The only time I've seen these nutjobs in my ethnically mixed DC neighborhood was when a few of them joined the pro-Hizbullah rally at a nearby college during last year's war. Indeed, they seem to appear wherever anti-Israel sentiment is found. They even stood "in vigil" as Arafat lay dying in a French hospital. Even many ultra-Orthodox want nothing to do with them. One of the NK who was in Teheran at a Holocaust denial conference returned to Vienna to find his offspring kicked out of the local Jewish school. Other parents didn't want their children associating with those who stand with the enemies of Israel.
37. Abdullah # 27 , Wrong !
charles ,   Petach tikva   (11.15.07)
This former PM was supported by the religious parties , so don't come with this now . I don't think that the religious Zionist are specially offended by his anti Zionist ideas . Those are known since many years , but more , by his kissing of this iranian [ yermah shmo ] leader . And this after his preceding visit ti this country to attend a Shoah deniers "congress" And this is the reason for being rejected by the religious Zionists . Do you think that the seculars will not treath such Iran visitors in the same way ? Those are not political opponennts , those are anti Jews . And maybe that the way those other charidim have treated him shows again that they are violent people , we have seen them in Jerusalem with their hateful faces .
38. moshe friedman meets Ahmadinejad
frank taylor ,   netanya, israel   (11.15.07)
if moshe friedman visits the enemy who are sworn to destroy us and refuses to recognise Israel, then why not take away his israeli citizenship and deny him and his followers all the rights the israelis enjoy? let Ahmadinejad look after him and his followers
39. Abdullah
Joe ,   USA   (11.16.07)
If you read the article it says they were ousted from the Satmar community from which NK comes. The Satmars have always been anti-zionist so it's not a matter of religious zionists versus religious anti-zionists. Being an anti-zionist/Israel is one thing and attending a Holocaust-denial conference is another.
40. This guy is nuts.
