these Hollywood folks have the ability to do more good for Israel but lack the ambition, drive and courage to do so. Its a real shame that Hollywood has remained silent during this massive surge in hate for our people.

I couldn't agree more. It's a shame that these people, who have a good deal of influence on the popular culture, have chosen to remain on the sidelines when they could have made a significant contribution.

This especially admirable because 90% of Jews in the entertainment industry, mostly men, marry shiksas. Jerry should have visited earlier but at least he went to Israel. That said Hollywood Jews have done a horrible job in helping the Jewish community and Israel.

Did you people on these talkbacks wake up on the angry side of Judaism this morning? Jerry Seinfeld is a proud son of the Jewish people, married to a fine daughter of the Jewish people and together have added three more Jews to the population. As with many Jewish entertainers it is not what they say but what they do that counts most. Check their charitable contributions to Jewish/Israel causes. That is what counts the most. As far as all you complainers are concerned; yadda yadda yadda...

This is just a wild guess, but I think that Jerry's visit to Israel as a volunteer on Kibbutz was probably not exactly "summer camp". In 1970 the kibbutz life was VERY different from New York and the Catskills. Most Israelis only knew a smidgen of English. And depending on the kibbutz, the experience was probably as far away from "Jewish" as one could be. I am not suprised that he never returned until now. He was too young for that first experience at the least. I have an inkling that he was exposed to the general snobbery of the typical Israeli sabra. What a way to get back at anyone who might have snubbed him way back in 1970-!. Hanging out with the prime minister and president. Don't belittle the present president. AT LEAST KATZIR WASN'T AROUND TO : - -TAKE "IT" OUT !!!!!! LOL LOL
