This man is such an idiot. If they had a secret channel, it was secret for a reason, and, needless to say, thanks to Mr. Peres' big mouth, it is secret no more. I can't believe that his appointment to the Presidency was met with such universal approval last summer. Nothing that he has done for Israel in the past two decades has come to any good, and he should have been encouraged to enter a permanent retirement from public life.

Perhaps Peres should apply to become Madonna's adviser on Israeli affairs. He would do better in that job, and besides, it seems that she has taken quite a liking to him already.

President S. Peres is quoted as requesting the Jews to Pray for Peace, I am a bit confused, it is comment knowledge that Shimon Peres is a die hard agnostic, anything even remotely involving Jewish beliefs or practices are anathema to him, he has no sympathy for the Jewish people he was appointed to serve, so to whom should such prayers requested by a non believer in GOD be directed to, I think to his friend and former employer Yassir Arfart,

He should run for a President of any Arab country but should have never been appointed a President of Israel. He always sounds as if he was interviewing for a political post in the 'Palestinian' entity.

Initially my reactions to the Olmerts and Peres types is anger towards them for selling out their own country but upon reflection it should really be directed at the Israeli voters and non voters for allowing these nitwits to stay in office. Whatever Olmert agrees to at Annapolis will weaken Israel in her fight to survive.

The job of the president in Israel is to attend ceremonies and shake hands with foreign dignitories. Not to get involved in government politics. Peres it seems take less of an interest in ceremonies because like Olmert he snubbed the 1 year aniversry ceremony of the Lebanon war but he has been speaking out about politcs alot. He misses the good old days when he was shaking hands with Arafat on the White House lawn and when he dreamed up this wonderfull oslo plan which has been repackaged plenty of times since 1993 and each time it fails. Now he is looking to sell the Golan for a couple of promises from Assad and to encouraage Syria to take part in Annapolis. What Peres in this case says is true publicly it will be all palestians behind the scenes Condi and Olmert will have secret meetings on how much etra territory as well as the Golan will Israel give to Syria as compensation for 40 years of stress to little Assad and his dad.
