3. Open hunting season continues against Israelis
Dr. Aaron Lerner - I ,   Raanana Israel   (11.27.07)
But PA insists still open hunting season for killing Israelis. Today I asked Saleh Nazal, Director, Minister's Office - Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs in English): I wanted to understand the Palestinians position demanding the release of all Palestinian prisoners by the time of the signing of an agreement. Would this also apply to Palestinians arrested for activities they carried out after Annapolis - during the negotiation period until the signing. His reply:It is the position of the Ministry that all prisoners should be released during this process. They are engaged in resistance against the Israeli occupation - not against the peace process. We want all the prisoners to be released because the reason that they were retained was resistance to the occupation. I repeated:So that is to say that people detained for activities they carry out between Annapolis and the signing of an agreement should also qualify for release at the time of an agreement. Nazal: As I told you before. This is resistance against the occupation. Not resistance against the negotiations. The Israeli forces are arresting people, building settlements, building barriers. You are looking only now at one party and not looking at the other one.

7. Abu Mazen, Go ahead
Ali ,   Ramallah, Palestine   (11.27.07)
The majority of the Palestinians support our President Abbas talk. We hope that this peace process just need one thing: Serious position from Israel. Borders of 1967 including E Jerusalem and just solution for the Ps refugees. Iran and Hamas don't have a vision for future hope, Abu Mazen does. This is why we support him.
8. A SHORT GUIDE TO BAZAAR NEGOTIATIONS
sbereli ,   NY   (11.27.07)
In Middle Eastern bazaar diplomacy, agreements are kept not because they are signed but because they are imposed. Besides, in the bazaar of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the two sides are not discussing the same merchandise. The Israelis wish to acquire peace based on the Arab-Muslim acceptance of Israel as a Jewish state. The objective of the Arabs is to annihilate the Jewish state, replace it with an Arab state, and get rid of the Jews. http://mideastoutpost.com/archives/000406.html

10. To Hell with Abbas's demands
Brod ,   USA   (11.27.07)
Israel should say NO to the crap demands of the Islamist-Jihadists. Who do they think they are that they can make such demands? The Cesspool has no right telling Israel to give them Israel's biblical and historic homeland of Judea and Samaria including Israel's eternal, indivisible capital-city of Jerusalem. The wolves must be out of their mind. Israel should tell them to go to HELL!

24. #7
J K ,   NYC, USA   (11.27.07)
Ali: I understand you are parroting Abbas' and the Arab Leagues maximalist demands for a settlement. There must be some flexibility. Israel currently runs the show and the 'Palestinians' have Gaza and a fews towns. Israel wishes they can have it all...but probably wont happen. The difference is, you have been sold on getting 100% back, which isnt going to happen either. Bending on the 'right of return' (there is no such right of return except to what might someday be called Palestine) does Israel no favors since it will never happen. You will have to bend territorially or there will be no solution. There will be 60 more years of Israel advancing ahead in th world and you wondering where it all went wrong. Thats what happens at the end of negotiating...no one should be 100% satisfied. You may get a lot of the WB, but not all of it. I dont know what else you wont get, but if you sit around thinking you can have it all, you are quite mistaken.
25. What needs to change is the reality that was formed in 1948
Naftali Lavie ,   Toronto, Canada   (11.27.07)
The reality formed in 1967 has already changed. Since 1967, the reality of settler-colonialism and apartheid has deepened. Also, since 1967, a modern Palestine liberation movement has emerged. Palestinians in Israel, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the refugee in exile, have stepped forward to say: "We will settle for nothing less than justice, peace, and democracy. The refugees have the right to return. The people have the right to live without military occupation. The people have the right to equality, and a regime where rights are not dependent on ethnicity. It is the racist regime that was established in 1947-48 that must be replaced by a democratic regime." Many people in Israel, and abroad, understand this message, and are willing to help.
26. OLMERT YOU ARE A THIEF AND YOU WILL NOT DECIDE WITHOUT US
Israeli   (11.27.07)
27. Talking about nothing
Sam ,   Canada   (11.27.07)
Nothing has changed in the unacceptable demands of Palestinians for decades. What on earth do Israeli and Palestinian diplomats talk about to each other? Since nothing changes with the Palestinians, Israel should take care of its own business- dealing with Gaza terrorists and dealing with settlements that are in the Israeli interest. Since Israeli politicians don't seem to do anything, might as well appoint the Talkbackers in their place.
28. #25 - what needs to change
Ron ,   Pennsylvania, USA   (11.27.07)
Your quote: "Palestinians in Israel, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the refugee in exile, have stepped forward to say: "We will settle for nothing less than justice, peace, and democracy. The refugees have the right to return. The people have the right to live without military occupation. The people have the right to equality, and a regime where rights are not dependent on ethnicity. It is the racist regime that was established in 1947-48 that must be replaced by a democratic regime." I suppose that would be a democratic regime such as Hamas in the West Bank. What are you smoking?
29. DISSOLVE THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT NOW!
Ron ,   Pennsylvania, USA   (11.27.07)
Just WHAT are the members of the coalition government thinking of now? Olmert comes to Annapolis, telling the world that there is a "liquidation sale" of Israel???!!! How can anyone stay in this government. They need a NO CONFIDENCE vote NOW. Let Olmert return to Israel as the criminal he is, NOT the prime minister. The Land of Israel is NOT his personal real estate!
30. So What to doooooooo ??
Ali ,   Gaza   (11.27.07)
