1. The Arabs must make very painful concessions for real peace!
Uzi ,   Haifa   (11.27.07)
The Arabs of the Land of Israel consistently demonstrate that they don't want, can't make and won't maintain real peace. They do want, however, to weaken Israel by gaining territory without 'giving' anything tangible. They ignore that "possession is nine tenths of the law" and that it's rather the Arabs who should come forward and spell out what they offer Israel in return for what they want. They also pretend not to get it that in this case "land for peace" is both immoral and unworkable. The Arabs had used the 'territories' to threaten, pester and attack Israel before we took these territories in self defence. They continue to plan, prepare and perpetrate genocide against Israel and pretend not to see that it would be suicide for Israel to concede anything in response to their threats and aggressive action. The Arabs must realize that the only way toward peace is that rather they themselves should offer, accept and be convincingly satisfied with 'painful' compromises.
2. There can never be separate Arab polity west of the Jordan!
Uzi ,   Haifa   (11.27.07)
The Arabs of Western Eretz Yisrael have consistently demonstrated that they are incapable of surviving unaided or ruling themselves, especially at the national polity level. They have never exercised their inherent right of self determination and now they expect others to determine and create for them that Mickey Mouse "state" which will never be. They constantly kill and steal from each other and lie to themselves, each other and the rest of the world. They never miss any opportunity to make atrocious choices and mistakes and they are incapable of sustaining and providing for themselves; they depend on others for everything. How on earth will they ever make it?
3. Equitable & practical peace plan that may work for a change:
Uzi ,   Haifa   (11.28.07)
Israel should let Hamas to depose Abbas and smash Fatah, also in Judea and Samaria, on their way to abolish the PA and wipe it off the world map and consciousness. Then Israel should get rid of Hamas. This will open the way for the Kingdom of Jordan to take charge as the only viable nation state of all the Arabs of Greater Palestine. Having got rid of the PA and Hamas, Israel and Jordan should agree on the border between them in Judea and Samaria and maybe cede Gaza to Egypt that would sort it out quite smartly. Everybody, Jews and Arabs, should continue to live in peace where they are and nobody should move from their homes or land. Israelis who would thus become residents of the Kingdom of Jordan should be given rights and conditions like the Arabs in Israel.

Joseph P. ,   Jerusalem   (11.28.07)
since he is an eternal loser.
7. Partners for peace
CP ,   New York   (11.28.07)
Can someone please explain the title, "Palestinians see...winner" How did we win if we do not return land? When did we ever win in past negotiations-we have only made unilateral concessions, what about them? Israel remains lonely and SEARCHING for a PARTNER for peace.
8. Palestinians see Israel as winner in Annapolis
J K ,   NYC, USA   (11.28.07)
Of course they see it this way. Anything less than Israeli acqueisence to their and the Saudis maximalist surrender demands is a 'loss' for the 'Palestinians'. Evidently negotiating anything isn't in their vocabulary. They honestly expect to show up with a pen and have Israel sign away 100% of everything. Can anyone else see how ridiculous this is?
9. Waked is an IDIOT....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (11.28.07)
Noboty wins with this BS. Only patience and fortitude will result in an agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. Why can't this MORON see this?
10. "Israel is Winner"-bcos it wont lie down and die .

11. This reminds me of certain summer...
Ignacio ,   Zaragoza, Spain   (11.28.07)
in which Israel won aganist Hizbullah thanks to Olmert's team of starts. Then I woke up to discover the shame this government is.
12. FOR THE ISRAELI RIGHTISTS: This process is inevitable
Chaim   (11.28.07)
You must realise, all of you, that this process is inevitable. It did not matter if the Prime Minister was Begin or Golda - both would have given back the Sinai, and it does not matter if the Prime Minister will be Olmert or Netanyahu, both will give back the occupied territories. You have been so naive, motivated for 40 years by a distorted religious ideology, that you cannot see the plain truth any more: This process is inevitable. It is insanity to believe that we can continue to occupy Gaza and the West Bank and East Jerusalem in spite of the consensus of the international community, in spite of the consensus of international law, and in spite of the national aspirations of the people living in these occupied lands. This has been a crazy dream from the start, and we must put an end to it, sooner rather than later, so as to avoid making this process even more peaceful. Yet you are so blinded by your fanaticism and your vision for "Eretz Yisrael" that, even this simple reality, you refuse to accept. Instead of recognizing that there is ultimately no other solution, you call for insane and unrealistic measures like "transfer." The time of transfers has come to an end. 60 years ago, 40 years ago, even 30 years ago, there were opportunities to transfer the Palestinians, but they were not seized. Today, the possibility of transfer is gone: it is no longer realistic. The settler movement was born in 1967, and it will die gradually upon the completion of this peace agreement imposed by the Americans. I, for one, am pleased that this chapter - this stain, this dark chapter of our history - is drawing to an end. I wish us all the best...
13. They danced on 9/11
Brod ,   USA   (11.28.07)
They danced on 9/11 when 3000 Americans were murdered in cold blood by Saudi thugs. How did the Cesspool manage to manipulate Bush to focus on their crap? Has Bush forgotten who attacked America on 9/11 and who danced and applauded when 3000 Americans were incinerated by Islamist-Jihadist terrorists? If this is the Republican 'contribution' to America, a Republican will never be elected President again.
14. Yeah, Israel's won another 'peace in our time' victory
AK   (11.28.07)
Since Olmert now admits that all Rabin, Barak, Netanyahu and Peres had lied about secret concessions they'd agreed to under the American pressure (or was it their voluntary idiocy) how can anyone be sure what he just gave away. How do we know Israeli PMs lie? Their mouths are moving.
15. Palestinian Losers from the intifada
eddie ,   london Uk   (11.28.07)
By moving from camp david to the intifada of bombs and bulletts, the palestinian people chose war and demonstrated they didnt want peace, they didnt wan tcompromise, or east Jerusalme, or west bank + gaza state, since it was graciously offered by Barak, and they chose violence instead. Thet are the real losers, but that doesnt make israel the winners.
16. Chaim #12
Brod ,   USA   (11.28.07)
Your speculation is wrong. The Sinai is not the same as Judea and Samaria. Judea and Samaria belong to Israel since 4000 years ago which Israel liberated from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers in the War of 1967. Furthermore, unlike other Islamist Jihadists, Sadat was different. He traveled to Israel and sought peace with the Jewish state. And the Islamist-Jihadists killed him for being a peacemaker. Don't assume Netanyahu would be like Olmert. They are different. Netanyahu is a Churchill and Olmert is a Chamberlain. Why should Israel give away her liberated biblical and historic homeland of Judea and Samaria to the Islamist-Jihadists? What makes the Islamist-Jihadists think that they have a right to usurp Israel's historic homeland and Israel has no right to defend and liberate her historic homeland? The fact is Israel had all the rights in the world to defend and liberate her biblical and historic homeland of Judea and Samaria from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers just as Portugal, Spain and Eastern Europe did in defending and liberating their historic homeland from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers in the Medieval. The problem Chaim is that you do not know the history, nature, agenda and modus operandi of Islamist-Jihadism around the world since the emergence of the Islamist-Jihadists from the abyss of the Arabian Desert in the 7th century. See the dark world of the wolves that Israel and the West are confronting in the following websites: www.faithfreedom.org www.thereligionofpeace.com www.americancongressfortruth.com www.islamundressed.com www.terrorismawareness.org Read the following books: "The Force of Reason" by Oriana Fallaci "The Rage and The Pride" by Oriana Fallaci "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel "Preachers of Hate" by Kenneth R. 17. Was This A Game?
Christy ,   Boston, US   (11.28.07)
I can't see that anyone 'won' anything here. If Israel is the winner ... what was the prize? I'd like to see the so-called 'Palestinian' people be winners over their leaders. The people have been kept in poverty and war for decades while their leaders use them as cannon fodder. I'd like to see their leaders start caring more about the 'Palis' people than they do about killing Jews. Create stability & jobs for the people. In Gaza, greenhouses were left by the Israelis (at great expense to themselves). Why didn't the leaders have their people start using the greenhouses instead of destroying them?! Why didn't the leaders start to build a nation to give the people jobs?! If I were one of the 'Palis.' people, I would NOT want to live with the leadership, of any faction, I see now. I would just want a stable country where I could earn a living & raise my family. I don't see any 'Palis' leader able to construct a stable country, anywhere. All I see is more war & poverty. The 'Palis' people suffer & die, the leaders get rich, the Jews get killed.
18. There is no acceptable supervisory mechanism
T.J. ,   SA,TX   (11.28.07)
Erekat is satisified with America observing.
19. Democrats will give Muslims Jerusalem
Mohammed   (11.28.07)
The agreement is clear the US makes the decision over the final agreement. They decide what Israel's obligations are. Barak Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards will all demand Israel turn over all of the occupied territories to us. None of them will ever demand we stop the resistance against Zionism until all of Palestine is liberated. The time of the Zionist Republicans is over. Palestine will be free

arab, remember, the election is in one and a half year's time, not now! also, jews unfortunatelly for you, make election of candidates possible. jewish vote is one of the strongest in america and many jews put many presidents on their presidential seats. yes, jews have mostly voted democrats in office, but now, considering that jews are very bright people and shrewed observers of what is good for them, they will not vote a democrat into office next year because they KNOW THAT YOU MAY BE RIGHT! and so, they'll put in a republican again. jewish money and influence is greater than you think habibi, much to your dislike. we'll have another republican in office and if you get julliani, then you can forget about a palestinian state. he deplores your tactics and lies and revisions of history, your terror and imbecilic society. he even refused a million dollar check from the prince of saudi arabia when he handed it to julliani during 9/11. i tell you. julliani is the man who'll be our next president and your idea of finishing off israel will go down the toilette my friend.
