3. Ben Ishai

You are absolutely wrong. The biggest loser is Israel in the long run, with it's "painful concessions". Israel is opening the door to dismember the state and all the fantasies in the world will not help.
4. Our own "keep the territories" crowd lost too....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (11.28.07)
And they are our biggest obstacle to compromise with the Palestinians. They give credence to those who say we are not ready for peace. But the majority of Israelis would agree to a Palestinian state in the territories under the right conditions. Lets hope we are not the ones who miss this opportunity for peace and compromise.
5. Jackpot of Dung....The whole thing was a joke

6. Israel is the biggest loser. This is Why.
MARK ,   USA   (11.28.07)
Saudi ambassador to Washington Adel al-Jubeir stressed the Arabs would never recognize Israel as a Jewish state because of its Arab minority. Now Israel is not allowed to be a Jewish state. They want to go back to UN partition plan and then they may change their opinion. If Israel gives up most of the land, they will call it a Jewish state.
7. Only One "Winner": Olmert
Dan ,   NYC, USA   (11.28.07)
Olmert bought himself another year in power. Another year to weaken Israel and make fools of its people.
8. well, no.
oferdesafe ,   israel   (11.28.07)
if all bush wanted from this conference was a photo-op, then he's as dumb as moore says he is. this was a chance to pull away the last remaining local ally iran has - syria. we should be wooing them. there's much more at stake here than land and terror.
9. More of the same
Alan ,   New Jersey USA   (11.28.07)
A few choice Arab comments post Annapolis (courtesy of DEBKA) In an interview from Washington, senior Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said Wednesday, Nov. 28, the US president does not negotiate in the Palestinians’ name, does not represent them and his words are not relevant to the Palestinian cause. On such issues as recognizing Israel, said the Palestinian negotiator, Bush is not competent to determine how we act. If the US president seeks an exchange of territory, he can do this with Mexico. Speaking after the opening session, Saudi FM Saudi al-Faisal emphasized that to achieve a permanent accord, it was essential for Israel to freeze settlement activity, dismantle unauthorized outposts, release jailed Palestinian prisoners, discontinue building the West Bank barrier, and lift the siege against the Palestinian people. Saudi ambassador to Washington Adel al-Jubeir stressed the Arabs would never recognize Israel as a Jewish state because of its Arab minority. The Syrian deputy foreign minister Feisal Makdad said the precondition for the Arabs to establish normal relations with Israel was its withdrawal from all the lands captured in 1967. Abbas said the occupation must end, and called it the source of terrorism.
10. Wye Again?
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (11.28.07)
All the pomp and circumstance is a vainglorious exercise in futility. Nothing coming from this but photo ops. The Arabs in the occupied territories will sabotage any peace before the ink dries on whatever statement of purpose emerges from this diplomatic dance called Annapolis. They did it after Oslo and Wye. Intifada is a foregone conclusion again. Israel will need to learn the lesson that 'peace' is a mere abstraction...a word on paper. A Palestinian state is a reality. The former will evaporate at the whim of the Islamofascists. The latter will legitimize Palestine as a sovereign base for the continuation of the effort to destroy Israel. This base, now a nation, will be able to negotiate treaties, be granted an immediate seat in the UN, get foreign aid and military assistance from countries hostile to Israel and enjoy all the benefits statehood confers. Israel had better come to its senses soon and walk away from this lynching.
11. Tragedy:: Bush missed an opportunity to WARN Saudis......
KMR ,   Middle East   (11.28.07)
....of their continued funding/support to radical-Islam & IslamicTerrorist activities around the world !!
12. Islam is strong. Author's position is weak.
Steve ,   Fla.   (11.28.07)
Radical Islam and Iran are not nearly as isolated and lacking legitimacy as this author suggests. Hamas continues to have great prestige in the Muslim Arab world as does Iran. Little doubt, Hamas' words of condemnation toward traitorous Arab leaders that attended Bush's rape of Israel resonated throughout the Muslim world. Iran is seeking nuclear capability nearly unhindered. President of Iran believes Islam will prevail over Israel and the west and no one is standing in his way. Islam is on the rise as America crumbles from within. This may take several years but clearly America under Bush's leadership is failing. She has seen her better days. Bush has greatly weakened Israel, he and this traitorous Israeli prime minister.

14. Bush won the jackpot?
Brod ,   USA   (11.28.07)
By kissing and holding hands with the Wahhabhist Chieftain as shown in the following website: http://web.israelinsider.com/Articles/Diplomacy/12404.htm Has he forgotten 9/11? Has he read the following books: "Secrets of the Kingdom" by Gerald Posner "Hatred's Kingdom" by Dore Gold, PhD "Religion of Peace?" by Gregory M. Davis, PhD "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel "Jihad Incorporated" by Steven Emerson "Preachers of Hate" by Kenneth R. Timmerman "Onward Muslim Soldiers" by Robert Spencer "Sleeping with the Devil" by Robert Baer "Leaving Islam" edited by Ibn Warraq "Why I Left Jihad" by Walid Shoebat "Islam and Terrorism" by Mark A. Gabriel "The Force of Reason" by Oriana Fallaci Or, has he been shielded by his Advisers from getting more vital information pertaining to America's pernicious enemies? At least, Bush should see the website whose name was based on his so-called "Religion of Peace" at: www.thereligionofpeace.com
15. Brod #14, I've got some of these books.
Steve ,   Fla.   (11.28.07)
I've got Posner, Gold, Gabriel, Timmerman, Spencer, Baer, Emerson, Warraq. I just finished listening to "Infidel," by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a great book. Listening to Bush, I cannot believe he's read or heard of any of these authors. If he has, he's even more of a deceiver than we thought. Ignorance is no excuse for a world leader especially in time of war. The amount of deception Mr. Bush has propagated about our enemy is criminal in my opinion.
16. Steve #15 Excellent
Brod ,   USA   (11.29.07)
Since 9/11, there is a proliferation of literature written by experts on the subject. As more and more Americans, Westerners, Israelis, and the Free World are informed of this, they will know what kind of enemies they are facing and will be able to neutralize them successfully.

18. An American that DOESN'T agree w/Bush!
Jody ,   Atlanta, USA   (12.05.07)
This is address to all of Israel and her Jewish people. I'm an Christian American born and raised who doesn't agree w/ Bush. I believe Bush tried to come across as understanding to both parties at Annapolis but instead he made a fool out of himself. To seperate Israel and make it's people give up their land is the worse thing possible. In my opinion the "Palestinian" people will go along with the "peaceful talks" and if something is ever agreed upon they will go againist every single thing even before the ink is dried! It's a shame what Bush has done and he will have to answer to God for it!! "I will bless those that bless me and I will curse those that curse me" That is the word of God. I personally can't wait till Bush is no longer our President. To the Jewish of Israel people PLEASE DON'T come to agreements w/ Palestinian because they will take your land and freedom.Your in our prayers.
