1. What about Scenario #5?
Dovy ,   Toronto   (11.29.07)
I am utterly amazed that so-called historians totally ignore the nature of Zionism. Do they REALLY believe that had the Arabs accepted partition the Zionist movement would not have eventually provoked the Arabs and tried to expel as many Palestinians as possible to get the ethnocratic state they were determined to get? Of course they would have. It may have taken longer, but the Zionists would still have forced their way into a war with the Arabs. They provoke all the time. The only hope would have been for international intervention to crush the Zionist terrorists. That would have been Scenario #5.
2. #1 i'm guessing by your mentality...
(11.29.07)
by your mentality, just being a jew and want to self-define himself in a state of his own constitute as a "provocation". or maybe just being a jew inside palestina is considered "provoking the Arabs". The Arabs will always find excuses to explain their need to war. it was true 60 years ago as much as it is true today, as you can see the muslims rioting over nothing all over the world.
3. #1 learn to read. they say that in Scenario 4
(11.29.07)
or are you one those who just read the title and go right down to the comments?
4. What If
Robert Tilden ,   Sheridan, WY   (11.30.07)
I suppose if the Brittish would have taxed their tea less in the 1770's London would have stopped being the capitol of the United Kingdom because the UK today pales next to America, and America would have also included Canada. Oh, and there would not have been football and soccer because there can only be one national sport so either the Major League or the NFL but not both. And then we would have never heard of Maradonna. This article is rediculous.
5. What about Scenario #6? (Re#1)
Christy ,   Boston, US   (11.30.07)
RE #1 - With a few words changed I am utterly amazed that so-called historians totally ignore the nature of Radical Islam. Do they REALLY believe that had the Arabs accepted partition the Radical Islamic movement would not have eventually provoked the Arabs and tried to expel as many Jews as possible to get the ethnocratic state they were determined to get? Of course they would have. It may have taken longer, but the Radical Islamists would still have forced their way into a war with the Jews. They provoke all the time. The only hope would have been for the IDF to crush the Radical Islamist terrorists. That would have been Scenario #6.

sionism"? What is the problem,in your view,to fight for an "ethnocratic state "in a land that we have lived for almost 4000 years? What is your problem? What is the problem? Why do you hate us so much? Why do you think we "provoque all the time"?In what are we provoquing? Can you explain? dovy, why do you fear so much 16 milion people out of 6 billion?
