The one way to curtail or eliminate human trafficking for sex is heavy fining of the clients. All monies to be directed towards rehab programmes and returning victims to their countries of origin.

The question I ask myself is this : why in such a small country like Israel is geographically, do we have to face this kind of situation , human trafficking...Is it because we have lost "our" values , because the corrupt politicians have closed their eyes, is it because we needed so much to "import" manpower from Russia and have also accepted to import the unavoidable derelict who were already criminals in their own country ? Or is it simply because in the middle east, there has been for centuries a long tradition of human trafficking and we, Israelis , are still a part of the middle east people ? Which one is right ? I thought we had specific values ? I thought our men were "exemplary" ?

I agree with #2. In a small country prostitution, drugs, crime in general can be controlled and eradicated more effectively. AS A JEW AND SUPPORTER OF ISRAEL I AM ASHAMED OF THE TOLERANCE TO CRIMINALITY THAT THE AUTHORITIES EXHIBIT........SHAME...SHAME......

I think that there is definately a demand for prostitutes. But if you can or DO not eliminate this demand, do the following: Tolerate prostitution but only of woman who are not held as slaves. Simple.

These are the people who pick our fruits and vegetables because not only have we decided we are "above" that sort of work, but would never the pay produce prices necessitated by the wage levels we would demand.
