It is no wonder that there cannot be any peace. But I have to also say that Israel is seens by many in Europe to be acting in a racist way towards the Palestinians. The point is the Arab world has racist policies in place. My guess is that the Palestinians stopped being "harrassed" and "humiliated" around the same time they stopped trying to kill us - ie never. It is wrong for any group of people to dehumanize any other entire group. For example: not too long ago an Israeli radio station released balloons with Hebrew and English writing, some errantly drifted into Lebanon. The Arab press went overboard; the Iranian Farsnews called it a “massacre” (http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=8511120182). Several people were rushed to the hospital with various symptoms, one paper reported one victim was paralyzed. When the balloons were proved to be harmless some Arab papers printed follow-up stories, but not all of them. I don’t know that we can blame an individual so overwhelmed with such fears that they become sick without putting some of the blame on who is teaching it to them. Especially if they are never exposed to both sides of the story.

Of course racism goes both ways. In this world, racism goes many different ways and unfortunately always will, but are you denying that you are not a completely equal citizen in Israel based on Israel's own racist laws and policies, or do you accept that way of life for yourself and your family?
