1. maybe he sees the writing on the wall regarding Iran
Brooke   (12.05.07)
and he wants to pack and leave Israel for good---money and family in tow. Wake up Israel and recognize quickly who your real enemies are.!!
2. The Labor Party Died Years Ago
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (12.05.07)
It is only the media who still keeps them alive, and keeps trying to revive them. They have no ideology, no leadership and nothing to contribute to Israeli society. For all practical purposes, the Labor Party is no longer relevant.
3. In the "good old days"....
Michael ,   Haifa   (12.05.07)
Barak used to disassemble clocks into pieces and then put them together again.....now, he just settles for the first part
4. well its been 100 days... the knives are coming out
in the labor party   (12.05.07)
this is exactly what happened to Fuad, Mitznah, Peres, Peretz and now Barak. But is Labor relevant anymore? What's in their party platform that isn't in Meretz's platform - or in Kadima's for that matter. Unless you are getting paid off by Fuad for rigging the primary elections in an arab village (410 votes for Barak at a polling station where 20 people showed up to vote), you don't really have an interest in seeing Labor elected.
5. #1 - the difference between Iran having a bomb and using it
redmiike ,   tel aviv and london   (12.05.07)
are very different ! Iran would love to have the bomb because of the political clout. Using it would return it to the stone age within minutes. Why would Barak leave Israel? "I know not what weapons World War 3 will be fought with, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones". Einstein Mike
6. Barak: The Great Zigzagist
Nora ,   Tel viv   (12.05.07)
Barak the soldier = 10 Barak the politician = 0 To Labor Party , get rid of him. He is very unpredictable.
7. Barak was always a cukkoo leftist of the Meretz mode!
Neutral Observer   (12.05.07)
Just because your an IDF general does not mean your sane.
8. What does Labor believe in these days?
Jack Levine ,   Springburn MI   (12.05.07)
Socialism? Free market reforms? Oslo? Itnatkut? Greater Land of Israel? Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope They are just a bunch of losers and liars who dont believe in anything except their own bank accounts
9. Mr. Barak
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (12.05.07)
Maybe Mr. Barak is too advanced in years to keep fighting and upset the routine of his daily life for things that will, more than likely, not have much of an impact on what's left of his days on earth. The fires that burned so intensely at 20, 40 and even 60 have a tendency to simmer down to a warm, comfortable glow, if one is lucky. The memories and experiences may be there, but the old passions take energies one prefers now to expend on living for one more day, week or year.
10. He acted the same way when he was PM
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.05.07)
Which way is the wind blowing, because that is where you will find Barak. Labor under his 'leadership' will be in the single digits.
11. well with a defeatist shrew like barak, what did you expect?
