11. Muslim & Torah Leaders Offer Genuine Path To Peace
Paqid 16 Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (12.10.07)
Welcome!!! It's a religious conflict, which can only be resolved through religious negotiations. Secular politicians do nothing but constantly stir up both hornets' nests. If nurtured and protected, this could be light at the end of the tunnel for Avraham's children.
12. Xmas
Shoshana ,   Israel   (12.10.07)
This sounds very nice, but I doubt if any rabbis would agree to celebrate Xmas or Ramadan in a public ceremony!!

THIS IS A FESTIVAL THAT ALL G'D FEARING PEOPLE CAN UNITE IN AND CELEBRATE TOGETHER.IT IS WONDERFUL THAT THE SONS OF ISHMAEL CAN CELEBRATE WITH THEIR BROTHERS OF ISRAEL IN A GENUINE MANNER.PLEASE G"D THIS CAN BE NOW EXTENDED TO THOSE OF OTHER FAITHS.HOW NICE IT WOULD BE FOR ALL PEOPLE TO PARTAKE OF THIS FESTIVAL AND REDEDICATION OF OF THE HOLY TEMPLE ONCE AGAIN .THE MUSLIMS HAVE MADE A WONDEFUL AND MERITORIOUS FIRST MOVE ,THE CHALLENGE IS ...WHO WILL BE NEXT?

appreciate this kind gesture and yearn to see this on a global scale, one must remember that these wonderful muslim clerics are ORIENTAL MUSLIMS and nor ARAB MUSLIMS. quite a big difference! you will never see this gesture from the arab side.
17. SHAME ON YNET AND THE PICTURE OF MENORA
M ,   TORONTO   (12.10.07)
EVERYONE WAS SO EXTATIC THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN SEE THE PICTURE OF THE MENORA THAT APPEARS ON THE "JEWISH WORLD". ISRAELIS WHO MAKE THIS SITE DO NOT KNOW WHAT A KOSHER MENORA LOOKS LIKE. THIS WAS A CHRISTIAN CANDLE HOLDER, WITH 6 CANDLES. A JEWISH MENORA HAS 8 + SHAMASH AND IT'S FLAT WITH THE SHAMASH ON TOP. SHAME ON YOU YNET, SHAME AS A JEWISH PAPER, OR INTERNET, OR WHATEVER YOU CALL YOURSELVES
18. In the spirit of Daniel Pearl
Noam ,   Boca Raton, FL   (12.10.07)
I heard Judea Pearl, the late Daniel's father, speak about the importance of engaging Muslims and teaching them why Israel is so central to being Jewish and Jewishness, how its not simply a response to the Holocaust, but the cornerstone of Jewish existence. Initiatives like this Simon Wiesenthal Center one help bring Muslims and Jews to realize that message and hopefully promote a better world.
19. #9 KMR shut up please
ayman ,   jersey   (12.10.07)

20. Don't Show the Clerics' Faces
David Hoffman ,   Philadelphia, USA   (12.10.07)
It could put their lives in danger from their co-religionists.
21. 'Not every Muslim is a Hamas terrorist'
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Samaria   (12.11.07)
'Not every Muslim is a Hamas terrorist' but every hamas terrorist is a muslim
22. Muslim's visit
Paul Winter ,   Sydney Australia   (12.11.07)
Only a bigot would say all Muslims are fanatical terrorists. Equally, as much as one admires the Muslim clerics who visited Israel and Prof Sheikh Palazzi or Soaib Chaudhury, the questions of their representativeness and influence over the umma must not be ignored by our admiration of reasonable and courageous people.
23. Hanukah? and who trusts a smiling Arab..
Josh   (12.16.07)
..who participates in a Jewish ritual not founded in Torah. If I remember a joint patrol in Jerusalem where a Palestianian and Israeli shared daily coffee breaks and remind me what was the outcome? As for Hanuckah lightings, a certain eastern religion uses a nine candle array of lights to welcome nine magical spirirts that descend from heaven to protect them from "evil" spirits. Once possessed by these spirits the people pierce various areas of their body, cheeks, etc., walk on razor stairways and across fire without feeling pain....and these are the "good" protective spirits that they trust. Magic and foriegn spirits. Torah warns of each. Since we know from the ark of Triumph in France and history that the menorah is eight candles, why do we add a foriegn holiday burning nine candles when Torah forbids adding or subtracting a word? Why are the addition holidays so joyess and the actual Torah holidays somber and dull? Incantations, added holidays, and now Arab and Christian participation in the additions. Hanukah is not in Torah! Lets celebrate Hashem holidays more such as Succot, for a week with feast, gifts, and communal parties and not Hannukah and Purim. Succot even calls for achohol in the celebration.
