31. Meanwhile, somewhere in Jerusalem :
B.J. ,   Denver Colorado   (12.13.07)
- Mister Olmert, Sderot Mayor has just resigned because of the qassams rockets attack on his city. - Oh really? Mmh interesting... - And something else : Mrs Rice called this morning, she's asking if you could possibly empty Sderot from his population, just to show some good willing to our pally partners.
32. When Leaders Fail, Both Political And Military
Adina Kutnicki ,   US   (12.13.07)
Barak and his underlings are babbling nonsense. While they admit that the situation is intolerable, they give NO good reason as to why Gazan Hamas terror is NOT treated as Syrian terror would be. Or so they babble. Do they NOT notice the nexus between Hamas & Syria, that both are part of the same terror axis? Are they more fearful of the reaction from Washington if they invade Gaza, than they are of the reactions from their own citizens? Perhaps this IS the issue. While Jews are terrorized night and day, all the leaders do is THREATEN, THREATEN & THREATEN. It has come to the point where terrorists ALL over the world-even those in caves- are laughing their asses off. What an absolute disgrace. These derelict leaders must be placed on trial for their crimes against their own people!
33. WAIT TILL THE WB IS HANDED TO THE ARABS!
andy ,   orlando,fl   (12.13.07)
Tel Aviv will almost certainly be attacked with rockets fired from the West Bank. There is no concept of land for peace. Why should Israel the victor make concessions to the vanquished arabs? For what a piece of paper? Gaza and south Lebanon are perfect examples of what happens when Israel withdraws!
34. The Solution To Kassams Is
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (12.13.07)
a continuous, day and night, randomly-timed and randomly-directed, indiscriminate shelling barrage of Gaza. Every few minutes, clobber them with another volley. That will stop the Kassams.
35. i'll get straight to the point
israeli   (12.13.07)
shut up. stop talking and do something.
36. IDF works for the citizens NOT the gov't-especially in this
Brooke   (12.13.07)
I don't believe Ashkenazi This is just more spin to buy Olmert and his gestapo gov't time in the knesset. Here's a great idea--and not one IDF boot in Gaza, until this operation is over! Israel had tremendous success with this before and will again. Targeted killings of top Hamas echelon and their families and their homes. Almost no civillian collateral killings. These swines would never actually die for their cause. No they would soil their panties & be begging for a ceasefire !! Israel--retake Gaza & show the world terrorism will never be rewarded. Hamas is on most countries terrorist list so they should have no problems with this as the most obvious and desired outcome Unless the gov't really wants the citizens of Sderot to leave and this makes it easier to hand over Israel to her mortal enemies??
37. -to Ali #22
Brooke   (12.13.07)
Gaza is closed because your leaders love to kill and terrorize innocent Jews. The land was turned over to you and water, oil and electricity continue to flow to this day. Not one country would supply their enemies with anything other that bunker busting bombs for what you people are doing to Israel. Your fight has always been with your own leaders. Never in the history of the world has a "people" received trillions upon trillions of dollars and kept stealing it from her citizens. Be smart, revolt against your leaders who use you for suicide bombers and their personal shield and have no respect for your lives. Not fatah nor hamas would ever allow their familes, themselves or friends to martyr for your murderous cause. Start thinking rationally, as a human being rather than brainwashed.demons. Demand your monies and demand your gov't start behaving like one and supply you with a country rather than its sole existence which is to destroy Israel---who has always been here and will never leave. All of the "pali" problems you bring on yourselves. Israel gives you land and life sustaining essentials and your only reason for existence is to murder her and steal her land. Do you honestly believe that if Israel were not here your leaders would ever share the wealth with you? Multiply 2 million people into 10 trillion$$? Isn't it disgusting how much money they have stolen from all of you??? Time for the decent "palis" to revolt against their theiving leadership!!
38. When Palestine realizes they will lose all peace will be had
C-Low ,   US   (12.13.07)
The Palestinians have no reason to accept what they currently have. They feel they have hit the absolute bottom and Israel has no will to go further. If Israel declared every rocket would equal another 1000 yards of buffer zone. All Palestinians inside that buffer would be forcibly if needed pushed out. Israel can do it fellow Jews why not ENEMIES? When the Palestinian gen pop realizes its only choice is accept how things are today and make peace or be driven out to the edges and possibly even the land all together. Then and only then will they accept peace. NO it is not pretty, nice, fuzzy, or PC. But it is Reality and it must be done.
39. Heh, listen all this clamoring for war...
Secular Eagle   (12.13.07)
...by losers who'll be fighting in front of their computers. If lives weren't at stake, this would be riotous. Do you morons remember that there were qasamim raining down on Israel even while we had thousands of troops and squatters colonizing the whole of Gaza? Or is it simply the idea of killing a few Palestinians that gets you wet?
40. If the children won't clean their room, do it yourself.
Steve ,   UK   (12.13.07)
If the Pals won't stop, make them stop. Of course we won't win if the qassams keep falling, if the object of the exercise is to stop them. If the Pals want a state including the WB and Gaza, then any attacked launched from their should be regarded as an ACT OF WAR, pure and simple. Mount up, General.
41. To #29
Milu'imnik   (12.13.07)
nice of you to talk in such a condescending way about the Israeli army... But, excuse me, are you one of those Jews who is willing to come and sacrifise their life for this state? Are you one of those ultra-orthodoxs who is hiding behind real men or are you just a yidale writing from your priviledged peaceful country in the west? Please dont push other Jews to be "real men" for your own Jewish ego !!!
42. No guns needed
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach USA   (12.13.07)
You want to stop the Qassams? Easy as pie. Stop all settlement in the West Bank and evict all the settlers. All of them are breaking the Fourth Geneva Convention, signed by Israel. Guarantee the Palestinians East Jerusalem, complete right of return, equal water per person, removal of the Wall, end of all checkpoints, release of all prisoners, end of the Gaza isolation. Suddenly, no more Qassams. What would Israel do with all that peace? I don't think you can stand things that quiet.
43. #42
(12.13.07)
but what about the terrorism and kasaams and grenades and suicide attacks and arab infiltration suicide missions before 1967, when israel did not have any presence in the entire west bank, in jerusalem and in gaza? not a single one of these areas were occupied, yet arab terror, 4 wars, etc... still happened. so, can you explain that? if occupation is the cause, then how come there was death, war and terror prior to the occupation? also, from 1949-1967, all so called palestinian arabs were under the control of both egypt (gaza) and jordan (west bank including jerusalem) and they still never demanded a palestinian state. as a matter of fact, palestinian state was never even mentioned back then. after israel conquered west jerusalem and gaza in a war the arabs started in 1967, all of a sudden, the fictitious palestinian state and fictitious palestinian people have materialized. interesting, wouldn't you say?
44. Dear Lt. General Askenasi
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (12.13.07)
As a citizen of Israel, please accept my permission to defend the whole of Israel and go into Gaza and wipe it out. I call on all Israelies to give their permission too. (Whilst your at it drop Olmert and his ilk in the centre of Gaza before u start).
45. 42
Igor ,   Munich, Germany   (12.13.07)
It´s not that easy my friend. Israel pulled out of Gaza and look what´s happening now. Terror groups are thriving, Qassam rockets are falling on Sderot. I also support the complete disengagement idea, but it´s not that simple. The Palestinians must fulfill many prerequisites what they´re currently not able to do. Israel didn´t occupy the territories in 1967 deliberately; they just had no other choice. I think all those negotiations between Fatah or Hamas are futile; those are no real partners for peace or any negotiations. The Palestinians need real leadership, a leadership which will be able to control all the territories and eradicate terrorist groups (yes, even with violence, in many cases terrorists can only be dealt with their own way). Maybe the Palestinians need a man like Saddam Hussein who´ll silence all the factions & terrorist groups. We all know Saddam Husseins methods..but if it works..so be it..
46. Gaza operation
Elie Raymond ,   Kfar Sava Israel   (12.13.07)
Israel has always excelled at making threats that only they seem to belive. Its as though tey live in a different world!!!! Lets face it they dont give a dam about sderot!!! Why dont they resighn and let young blood take over with fresh new ideas I for one second zAHAVIS idea of iimprisoning all Hamas and Jihad prisoners in isral in sdrerot where the KASAMS fall!!!!
47. #39, no actually I DONT remember
Danny   (12.14.07)
daily qassams falling on Sderot and sovereign Israeli soil. Why do you have "false memory syndrome"? Here some stats for you. From October 2001 to Israeli withdrawal from Gaza exactly 268 qassams lauched at Israeli soil. Since then until 30th June 2007 there have been 2179. You do the math and say with a straight face that pullout from Gaza made no difference to the number of rockets hitting Israeli territory.
48. #47 tiny error for the alert...
Danny   (12.14.07)
said "Since then until 30th June 2007 there have been 2179", it should be 30th November 2179. There were of course 353 less qassams five months before....
