1. Rockets
Leon ,   Grand Rapids USA   (12.13.07)
I cannot for the life of me understand the lack of a truly military response. No other country in the world would tolerate this situation. What happened to "Never Again!" ?
2. Why Sederot citizens are still paying taxes?
Jew ,   Jerusalem   (12.13.07)
I wonder citizens in Sederot are still paying taxes. There are receiving no protection at all. No service - no taxes.
3. Meanwhile, in Yerushalaim :
Sam Kach ,   Boise, Idaho   (12.13.07)
- Mister PM, mister PM! A qassam rocket struck another house in Sderot, and a woman is injured! What do we do now? - Mmmh well... Gimme this damn phone and Mrs Rice's number in Washington. I'm gonna ask her what the options are.
4. Cry me a river.
Khalid ,   Gaza City   (12.13.07)
One qassam hits a house and injurs a lady, boo hoo! Do you people know how many Gazans have been killed by Israel just this week alone!?!?! This really borders on the humurous, how many people have died because of qassams in the past 7 years? 4? 10? And you retalliate by suffocating 1.5 million people in a prison? And by the way, the qassams keep falling dont they? So is your strategy really working??
5. Olmert, "Peace" Now, and limited operations
Sigfried S. Kuhn ,   Aberdeen   (12.13.07)
After talking to some "Peace" Now activists, I realized that this article and other reports of Palestinian rocket fire on Sderot just cannot be true. After all, the philosophy behind "Peace" Now and the other leftist groups is land for peace. Since Israel voluntarily withdrew from Gaza and gave them the greenhouses, reports of rocket fire from Gaza have to be part of a conspiracy of the warmongers on the right. Even more convincing (of the falsity of reports of rocket fire on Sderot) are the continued declarations of a sizable segment of the left's that continues to support the land for peace argument. No sane person could advocate a policy that has not worked so unless these "peace" activists are loopy, the reports have to be false. Likewise, the government has declared that no large scale invasion of Gaza was necessary since the limited incursions were working. If they are working, then the report of an Israeli woman being injured by Palestinian rocket fire must also be wrong.
6. Why they do nothing..
Moriah ,   sacramento,USA   (12.13.07)
The government does nothing because they want the battered residents of Sderot to leave. Olmert wants them to leave so they have more land to bargain away.Hey Olmert, why don't up give away Tel Aviv????
7. To # 1 Leon
David ,   USA / ISRAEL   (12.13.07)
Never again is only for Tel Aviv. What a disgraceful and impotent Israeli government
8. Expel 10,000 Arabs to Egypt for every Kasam
Feiglin Supporter ,   Ertez Israel   (12.13.07)
9. Take back gaza
Micha   (12.13.07)
this is the only solution. painful but true. this experiment has gone awry and must be stopped. the gaza arabs will be moved into Egypt where they will be absorbed reluctantly. gaza will be a dmz. same will happen with parts of the west bank. again, sad but true and only viable solution.

Micha   (12.13.07)
you just don't get it. but not to worry, you will be gone in a short time, gone to egypt with your true brothers. you are not interested in peace with the Jews. That is obvious. you cheer on the rockets onto civilian. It's not how many people are killed. It's who is killed. if we really wanted to destroy your civilian population, you'd be dead already. But we target those who fire onto our people. got it or should I repeat it over and over? Obviously, you're not interested in what is right. you are only interested in dead Jews and all of Israel. Well, that ain't gonna happen. Go bark up another tree.
11. Rockets fired from Gaza
Paul ,   USA   (12.13.07)
I would like to know why the Israeli Army/Gov. is not defending their country against the enemy who are trying to hurt its citizens with all those Qassam rockets. I thought the main purpose of Gov. is to keep their citizens safe.
12. time for wide scale operation
(12.13.07)
go on ashkenazi, its your turn now
13. 4 Why do you blame Israelis for the block
(12.13.07)
You think Israel should just open the gates and allow everyone enter their land from a regime controlled by terrorists? Stop blaming Israelis, your leaders have the responsibility of you people and since you live in Gaza, it is the Hamas leaders. Secondly, everyone who has died in Israeli air strikes have been Hamas or Jihad militants. You on the other hand attack civilians. There is a clear distinction. How will you people manage your own state when you can´t take responsibility for anything. I know that because of Palestinians´ living conditions they have limited capacity to take responsibility, but blaming Israel for something that was totally caused by Hamas? Too much is too much.
14. #4 by your massage it's obvious that you're losing
(12.13.07)
then why do you keep fighting? israel has the means to keep this up for hundreds years to come, can you say say that on your side with certainty? maybe, but then again you've said it - more of your people are dying, then is it worth it?
15. I hate it when Micha speaks as if
Shir ,   Finland   (12.13.07)
he or she represents all Israelis. You are basically a moron in all ways. You love the Iranians who are about to nuke the country you live in, deliberately incite more anger in Palestinians. Tell me, how do you benefit Israel? And please, don´t tell the Palestinians what they are like and how they feel, that makes you sound even more dumb.
16. Response to "Cry me a river" & #15
Yehuda ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.13.07)
First of all, you wrote that many Gazans have been killed by Israel this week. Can I ask how that makes it right that a woman sitting in her home should be sent to the hospital, because some crazy lunatic wearing a ski mask decided to go hide his cowardly pathetic self in a children's school yard & shoot rockets aimlessly into another city? Doesn't make much sense to me. And second of all, you asked how many people have died from qassams in the past 7 years?4?10? Uh huh, well how many rockets have fallen into Israel in the past 7 years? That's the real question. And the answer? hundreds of thousands. The fact that the death toll isn't anything near that number is a miracle to the greatest extent. You're right about 1 thing though...Our strategy isn't working. We should stop caving into international pressure and go into Gaza and kill every terrorist we find. OK, now Shir from Finland: Why are you yelling at Micha for telling us the truth? The truth does hurt, but come on, you didn't even write anything intelligent. All you told him was to shut up. Why don't you look at the facts on the ground...or the missiles flying into my country every day before you open up your really biased mouth?

Shir ,   Finland   (12.13.07)
Why say anything intelligent to someone who isn´t intelligent? That´s all I have to say about that. I am half Israeli and living here I can see the big picture. Iran is plotting your destruction, you seem oblivious to it (or don´t even care) and focus all your resources on Palestinians. You can deal with the Palestinians any time. At critical times like these you should only concentrate on the real threat. You, like the Palestinians only see and look at things from your own point of view. Missiles and rockets are lauched at your houses, yes. But do you see the big picture? Do you even for a second start to think about why is this happening and what is wrong when two peoples live side by side and don´t even know each other. The reason why I am more critical of Jews is that I expect more from them. Jews were supposed to be smart. Also Jews have been given so much more than the Palestinians have. Jews have the capacity to change things.
18. Khalid's Defense: We are trying to kill you but we are incom
Umm El Kul Naqba   (12.15.07)
Khalid's Defense: We are trying to kill you by shooting thousands of Qassam rockets and mortars at your innocent citizens but we are incompetent, rarely hit the people we shoot at, and really fail in everything we try to do. Israel on the other hand targets the terrorists and is really good as killing them. They are also a leader in technology, medicine, science, economics, arts, etc. The terrorists are uncompromisingly committed to the death of Israelis and the destruction of Israel and so Israel devises counter-measures which successfully contain the terror and terrorists in their backyards and metes out punishment to the terrorists and the terrorist society which democratically (or DEMONcratically) elected their terrorist HAMAS govt. Continuing this logic we see PALs view failure, murder, terror, kidnapping, stabbing, etc. as virtuous successes and vehemently use their failures as a justification for a failed morally bankrupt "cause". When they are not trying to murder us they murder each other (i.e. HAMAS coup etc), kidnap journalists and others, and engage in every form of terror. Israel on the other hand makes every attempt to save lives (Israeli and even PAL bystanders whose innocence is highly questionable) as they focus on arresting or assasinating the terrorist and destroying the terrorist infrastructure. Furthermore, Israel does not count the deaths of terrorist in their casualty counts (fortunately there has not been a successful suicide bombing in some time) since the terrorist's live is worthless and has no value whatsoever. Furthermore, the PALs devalue their own lives by equating 1 Isaeli is worth 1000-1500 Arabs in proposed prisoner exchanges (i.e. Arab blood is very cheap). Therefore all the deaths of PAL terrorists are perfectly justifiable and virtuous in nature. Good job IDF.
