Saying he believes Israel will attack and will sabotage equipoment is saying to the monkey in Theran we know your allready on the lookout and prepared for any Israeli air strikes but make sure you prepare yourselves against the possibility of equipment sabotage as well. The man might not be doing Israel any favours here but at the end of the day Israel cant do this alone at best it can slow down the Iranian program by a year or two but this isnt Saddam in 1981 Iran has its facilities spread around in some of it in undeground bunkers and as soon as Israeli jets attacked the first target all the others would be defending themselves and sabotage will probably delay things for even less time than hitting a target with air strikes. Only the Americans can do this properly they have the hardware to do it and they have 3 carrier fleets in the Gulf as well as air bases in arab states within range of Iran. The Americans can also deal with some of the balistic missles at the same time limiting the capability of any Iranian retaliation, Israel could carry out an airstrike to create an Iranian response and the Americans could then come and use that as an excuse to finish of Iran using the justifiction they are coming to Israel in its hour of need.

Israel is more than capable of taking out Iran's nuclear facilities, as you conceed. So, what could Iran's responses be? 1) Make use of its proxies in Gaza and South Lebanon to attack Israel 2) Counter-attack with a large scale tactical missile attack. 3) Attempt to cause Syria to escalate the tension over the Golan Heights and spark some sort of conflict. 4) Make use of the "oil weapon" 5) Any combination of the above However, let's consider the likelihood of these options taking place. (1) seems possible, since it is impossible to trace that back directly to Iran.(2) Also possible, but with limited effectiveness due to Israel's ABM systems, yetr also unlikely since Israel could respond with its own missile strikes.(3) Highly unlikely, because the Syrian military is completely outclassed by the IDF in any conventional war. (4) Practically impossible since they need the money, and it would strengthen the Sunni Arab exporters like Saudi Arabia, not to mention it might trigger an American attack. So, we come to the conclusion that at best, Iran could attempt to rain missiles down on Tel-Aviv and escalate the situation in Northern Israel and Gaza - nothing Israel can't handle if it utilizes sufficient military force. So, there you have it Mahmood. No great battle in the Middle East, no epic scenes of Iranian soldiers capturing Jerusalem, but a few home made rockets being lobbed over Israel's border. That is the only repurcussion.

The Iranians had difficulties in the Iran-Iraq war because their leaders were incompetent. They had plenty of weapons but drove away and/or killed the people who were trained to use them. As such they were forced to resort to sending waves of boys against Iraqi troops. Iraq, despite having half the population of Iran, fought Iran to a standstill. Iran made zero progress in 6 years from 1982. There is simply zero evidence the Iranians are an effective fighting force. Good terrorists maybe but fighting a conventional battle or putting up a fight against Israeli or US bombers? Not a chance.

They'd also have to violate either Iraqi or Turkish soil to get to Syria. There is zero chance of a direct confrontation between the Israeli army and Iranian army. Maybe the odd IRGC might turn up in Lebanon.
