1. It is time for children of Olmert/Ramon/Livne serve Israel
Alex ,   LA, USA   (12.21.07)
Since everyone agrees that disengagement was a terrible mistake, Israel should send soldiers and policemen, that were used to remove Jews from Gaza, back to Gaza. Israel should order these solders/policemen to move into Gaza and fight Hamas.
2. Stop the pussyfooting!!!
jason asman ,   boston U.S.A.   (12.21.07)
Enough of getting our boys in harms way - scorch earth policy now-remove those savages with all the IDF might.
3. Risking soldiers' lives to save terrorists?
Mark ,   USA   (12.21.07)
Why are troops being sent in?? This is the same mistake Israel made in Lebanon. You have the air power to do the job here with ZERO casualties on the Isreali side... why are you killing soldiers to save palestinians? No other army on earth is this obsurd - look at the U.S. during WWII or even the Gulf War. Carpet bomb the area, you can fight a war with 0 casualties to your troops.
4. No time for feeling kind to the enemy
Larry ,   Eastbourne, UK   (12.21.07)
No time for continuing to supply our enemies with food, water, electricity, fuel, medical treatment, etc. No time for being kinder to the residents of Gaza than to those of Sderot and other border areas.
5. Money makes a difference
Amir ,   Beer Sheva   (12.21.07)
Some money that EU and Arabs give to "piece now" probably goes to Labor and Barak company. Money makes a difference.
6. #3
Marzipan ,   toledo, es   (12.21.07)
ya...there were no US casualties during WWII. Some of you readers never cease to amaze me.
7. #6 you totally missed the point, smart ***
jack bauer   (12.22.07)
8. there is always a need for ground troops
jack bauer   (12.22.07)
air power alone cannot secure an area. if you want to keep the grunts safe, send them in block by block. Have them call out with loudspeakers that civilians must take the oppertunity to surrender and withdraw through the israeli lines. All suspicious person are to be detained and the rest allowed to move into free areas previously cleared. Then once the calls have been made.....level the block do it block by block and any suspicious building are simply leveled without risking troops to do a room to room search The only way to stop the rockets is to take back and hold the gaza territory. And station troops at every intersection needless to say "carpet bombing" is outdated, and is NOT needed. That requires hundreds of 500 pound or 1000 pound iron bombs to be scattered over an area. One or two well placed mk82 bombs can take down a building. Without needing to carpet anything
9. I solve it before and i repeat
Jalal Y. Marzouq ,   Gaza Palestine   (12.22.07)
Gaza is a big problem but we can solve it by 2 ways 1. nuke it up and erase it (and u can make some people happy) 2. give them what they ask for (without any conflicts with israel rights) i can give some examples food , electricity , open borders for medical urgent cases , .... etc
10. gaza
bixpix ,   boca raton, fl   (12.22.07)
Why doesn't Israel have Qassam-like rockets to fire back at the pals at no risk to the IDF.
11. Make 5 km no-man's land....
David ,   Hartford CT USA   (12.22.07)
Flatten everything within 5 km of Israel. Anything that walks, rolls, burrows, or crawls is a target. Just push them back far enough so that they only hurt themselves. A single soldier's death in Gaza will be proof of the military's misguided plan. If rockets get lobbed over to Israel, return the favor 10 times over. When Japan wouldn't stop fighting in WW2, the USA bombed their big cities into dust. DUST. (radioactive dust at that) The Emperor surrendered. Nobody whined about a disproportional response. To put an end to these rockets, we must do what needs to be done without sacrifing our soldiers. Hamas likes rockets and missiles, let's show them some real rockets and missiles.
12. I agree with 3
Patrick ,   Paris France   (12.21.07)
Unfortunately for political reasons it is not possible to resort to carpet bombing. A human point of view is irrelevant since we are in presence of jewish blood thirsty beasts.
13. question for #9
johnny walker   (12.22.07)
it appears that the border between gaza and egypt is open because how else do the weapons and parts get there? the smugglers are doing a bumper trade my question is why must Israel give food, electricity, and open borders? Why cant the gazans get those from egypt? and dont say the jews closed it because the egyptians run the open border now
14. #12 look in the mirror
Merlin ,   Boston,ma   (12.23.07)
Yo, Patrick, why isn't your native language German? You can thank America and the Her Majesty's Jewish Brigade among others for saving you from the Nazis. If you want "blood thirsty beast" just look in your mirror. The french have a long history.."The French Monk, Rudolf, called for the destruction of the Jews as an introduction to the Second Crusade..." Go crawl back under your rock and make up more anti-Jewish hate speech.
