I would like to see the whole interview. Because it seems to me that he may be going off the philosophy, one that we can all remember Anne Frank expressed, that ALL people are inherently good. So with this in mind he needs to come up with a theory as to why good people do evil. In relation to Hitler this would include telling some story that what he did he thought was 'good' via some twisted logic that just needs reprogramming. Obviously it's not a very good argument. But if you believe this way, it's really one of the only arguments you can make. It's just liberal crap: if you live near Hollywood, you're used to hearing this garbage every day. and it does say what i suspected: the context of this remark comes from Will expressing that he "believes everyone is basically good." So this is really the only story he can tell if he believes this way.

The other night there was in History channel one of the tons of documentaries on Hitler. There was a shot of him close up in colour, the camera handheld turning a rround his face. There is no question or doubt this guy was absolutely MAD. How can people just consider some sligth good inside this demented?
