There are so many different ways that one can look at this situation.There is the fact that the JNF had told their personnel agent to only refer candidates to them who were willing to work on Saturdays, yet they did not. There is also the fact that it seems rather odd for an organisation that is working in aid of Judaism and Israel, to want someone to work on a Saturday in the first place. However: The JNF stated that one of their busiest days was a Saturday. I can understand this, as the JNF works not only for Israeli's, but for the diaspora as well, whom unfortunately have to work by a timeline that is not determined by Jewish law ie. Saturday is the only really "free" day in Christian dominated countries. One could then say that everyone in the Diaspora should then make aliyah, but quite honestly, Israel could not hold that many people at the moment, even if the will was there. Although I agree that it is still a sad situation that organisations working for Israel and working towards bringing all Jews home, have to work on Shabbat, perhaps we can rather see it in the light of "saving lives", in which case 'working' on Shabbos is essential.

This is their policy in the US too. I once interviewed for a position with them and was turned down because I wasn't willing to work on Yom Kippur. No Jew should give a dime to the JNF. Their is nothing Jewish about it. They shouldn't be arranging hikes or anything else on Shabbat.

According to jewish law, it is absolutely forbidden for a goy to keep shabat and don tefilin. If you really want to keep all mitzvot, you should consider converting to judaism. You could also consider only keeping the seven noahide laws and being a virtous goy.
