1. Uri Elitzur forgets where he is ...
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.28.07)
This is Israel. Policies & strategies that actually work cannot be considered. Only policies that fail can be considered, repeated over & over. If a policy works, it must be swiftly abandoned or we might win. It's the mirror image of our political system - only recycled failed politicians can hold office. Tradition must be upheld at all costs.
2. Keep on striking. To Terry.
David ,   Brazil   (12.28.07)
I've been following your comments on several paramount matters for quite sometime, and I must say, that I couldn't agree more with you; no 'but', no 'if', no exceptions. Your perspective on today's subject was another bull's eye. Shabat Shalom to you. David
3. terror
dara ,   nisim   (12.28.07)
Very well written and understood by most two legged creatures. Politicians understand this, but have no backbone and choose to fold like a cheat suite. We can win the war on terror , but I doubt that we can overcome the relentless attack from the militant bleeding heart liberals, supreme court left wing elitist that fold and melt at the first signe of ptotest from our enemies and the 'fifth column citizens'. We need to topple the current government before they cause an irreversable damage to our military might and kill the spirit of our soldeirs......
4. good article - the IDF must carry on carrying on!
redmiike ,   tel aviv and london   (12.28.07)
The majority of non-Muslims now realize that a fight to the death is now now on. Sarcozy certainly does but it's probably too late for France, for Holland and Belgium and Sweden and Switzerland are nearing capitulation, although Switzerland is trying to fight back. If you have a problem accepting the above then please read the following by a world renowned Arab scholar. http://hudna.notlong.com Please read it. It is not long and not difficult and after you've read it you probably won't put the blinkers on again or bury your head, Mike P.S. And please differentiate between Muslims and Arabs because it's important - and look at Pakistan!
5. "five new terror leaders wil emerge..."
Zooog   (12.29.07)
If you keep knocking off the top leaders, their replacements will on average will be ever less competent.
6. Too True
Draconius ,   Paterson USA   (12.28.07)
The writer hits the hail on the head. If The hand-wringers didn't stop the IDF in '06, the Hizbullah would not exist at it's highst level of power as it does today.
7. the world is realizing who are these fanatics, and...
Whoever ,   Whereve   (12.28.07)
but is afraid to respond. you see what happened over some caricatures? that is why nobody wants to play the bad guy, but every body undrestand what is happening. so please do your job IDF, and keep in mind, Israel is not because of jewish noble price winners, nor because the sense of appreciation of the world, it is because of IDF, and nothing more.
8. They are NOT terrorists, but freedom fighters. IDF are terro
Yaakov Sullivan ,   NY   (12.29.07)
rists attack-response-revenge attack-response-revenge . Where will this end? Release all freedom fighters from jail and let ALL palestinians return to Israel and make this country a Islamo-Jewish. Only this way you will live in peace.
9. It's not about terror, it's about land.
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (12.29.07)
European Zionist Jews went to Palestine and took the land from the Arabs using brute force and kicked out 700,000 people. Now the Arabs, who are fighting to get back the land, are called terrorists by Jews who are not even genetic descendants of Abraham.
10. keep on...
JL ,   isael   (12.29.07)
too bad barak says he "is tired of winning"...just like he won in s.lebanon...or the intifada
11. Mr. Whoever
Zeal ,   Zionist America   (12.29.07)
"you see what happened over some caricatures" you wrote? Well, around the same time those caricatures were written, the Iranian president attacked the only religion you people have (the holocaust) and an even greater uproar was heard. Those caricatures are an attack on our religion and we will not stay quiet over this abuse. Got that?
12. arab comments here
Yisraeli   (12.29.07)
posing as jewish ones lol. they actually think we believe their stupid pseudo names. even behind a screen they have to hide themselves, frakkin cowards theyre born like that. Yea hit them hard and relentlessly. You see its the older terrorists that have much to lose and dont want to die for any cause they make to much money. They have no problem is sending other peoples children to die and do theyre dirty work whilst they act as if theyre clean. Target them day and night and you will see the effect.
13. IDF Should Ask Them.
Maansingh ,   The Netherlands   (12.30.07)
IDF should continue targetting the Islamic Jihad members -- till IJ is DEPLETED of its members. IDF should CONTINUE on this track -- without pauzing, without stopping. WHEN the High Court steps in -- the IDF should reappeal to the Supreme Court. WHILE the legal battle is going on -- the IDF should CONTINUE targetting the IJ members. WHEN human rights groups complains -- the IDF should ask them WHAT they were doing in preventing Kassam rockets from being fired on Sderot, on other places. MAKE no mistake -- we like Arab people very much. But we just do NOT like armed gang members in our midst.
14. CRUSH HAMAS, PRC, IJ, EL AQSA. Take no prisoners
Ahmed Cohen   (12.30.07)
15.  Damn right "keep on striking"
Cameron ,   USA   (12.31.07)
Bad, barbarous behavior catches the heavy hand. Sorry the IDF has to keep slapping the Gaza bottom. Pathology earns it's own reward.
16. Israel Needs to Use It's Awesome Power
Dave Levy ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (01.01.08)
Israel must immediately incorporate capital punishment for captured terrorists with blood on their hands, and their accomplices. There are 11,000 felons in Israel jails...far too much. Besides, they are costly. I have advocated a 12.00 hangmans' noose for years, or simple shooting. Israel is taking 1step fwd and 2 steps backwards..If land is relinquished, Hamas and other groups have won a major victory, and this is all about land, NOT individual acts by suicide bombers (even though irritating at best). Israel has the means but not the will..it is kowtowing to imbaciles Condi and Bush, the UN, EU and World Ct. Abbas has done nothing to foster peace. Hamas won't even discuss Israel's existence, so what's to negotiate. Israel shows it's hand too often, hopes for the best, and cannot make the final decisions (Lebanon). Destroying Gaza City would be a good beginning, forget the utility embargo, it's absurd.
