Golan is the territory won in defensive war, a price paid by the failed aggression.
After WW2, Germany lost Alsace/Lotaringia, Konigsberg and Eastern Prussia, and won't get them back - and this days' Germany is decent country.
Why Syria should get that territory back? - becasue it suppots and exports terrorism? What a nonsense. Israel should not bow to terrorist blackmail.

can give up the Golan. They started the war and there is NO reason to reward them for that.
If they really wanted to look magnanimous and adopt a fair and reasonable Middle Eastern settlement that satisfies everybody. Relinquish the Golan as a Druze state allied to Israel. I'm sure that Israel would be OK with that, and everybody has something.
It's fair, it's decent, and it's reasonable. That's why they'll never propose it much less allow it to be brought up at a peace conference.

Will they officially acknowledge the Shaba farms area is Lebanese in order to solve that problem?
Will they start their demands that Syria extends to the Sea of Galilee?
And what will they offer in return?
- To expel the terror groups?
- To break ties with Iran?
- To normalize relations with Israel?
I think not.
