People fight different sorts of wars for different reasons. Each has a different ending and therefore a different approach to their end. We in Israel all pretty much thought that the "multi-national force" was a cynical ploy to delay a ceasefire being imposed on Israel. UNIFIL - and pretty much every UN mission anywhere - has failed to come even close to fulfilling it's mission, why adding more "pensionaires" would make a difference is anyone's guess. For me this was one of the scariest events in the War, the idea our leaders may have taken it seriously....
