there is NO incitement or hatred in depicting a political opinion. this one just happens to be effective, and uncomfortable for some left-leaning israelis, especially in the government. but why should the government be able to use the police to silence its political opponents? this is a far more serious crime than the allegations of corruption that have washed over this government.

For one, the poster's kind of funny and there's no reason they shouldn't be allowed to put it up. On the other hand, it's indicative of a total detachment from reality. The Israeli right wing is completely insane. George W. Bush's entire presidency has been essentially pro-settler. He's given Israel everything it's asked for, from destroying Iraq to running interference on peace negotiations during the Lebanon war and endorsing the dropping of 3 million cluster bombs on Lebanon. He's been indifferent to the turning of Gaza into a concentration camp and assisted in the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia to overthrow the Islamic courts there despite the fact that they were actually stabilizing the country. He's provided military assistance to the Phillipines to attack it's Muslim insurgency, and there's probably more that he's done to attack Muslims worldwide that I'm forgetting. Not to mention the fact that his administration has domestically relied on Muslim-baiting for political support ever since 9-11, though he occasionally pays lip service to "respect for moderate Islam". I find it inconcievable that right-wing Israelis can possibly disapprove of this violent maniac and consider him a traitor to their cause. Is it because he's meekly requesting evacuation of illegal settlements? Does anyone really expect anything to come of that? You've just enjoyed the support of the most right-wing president in American history and you're complaining?
