1. blood carpet
Ben Temalion ,   Shiloh, MO USA   (01.10.08)
US money pays for that blood, trains those who extracted the blood, arms those who took that blood. Cares nothing for the Munich blood abbas paid for nor even the us citizens whose blood it is too. US citizens killed in the US, Khartoum and IL. The US loves Jew killers. As did churchill. Martin Gilbert notwithstanding.
2. Dear Mr. bush, u'r helping a terrorist country
(01.10.08)
the hamas & abu mazen are all the same if thay had the weapon thay would use it long ago the greatest fraud in the world is about to be reality with u'r help Dear Mr. bush, u'r helping a terrorist country. please do not
3. Arab logic - big threat.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.10.08)
Hamas & Fatah - two faces of the same coin. But just examine the logic of this statement, renewal of dialog with Hamas. Hamas had no problem throwing Fatah members off the tenth floor, shooting many more, & torturing others. They incite to violence against each other & arrest each other's members on a daily basis. Without the IDF, Hamas would seize power in the West Bank in a few days. Yet, both groups are terrorists, one with beards, the other wearing suits. The major difference between the two groups is that Fatah has become an expert in sucking money out of gullible Westerners (most of which goes to pay salaries as bribes for support) while Hamas is financed by Islamic crazies from around the world as well as Iran & Syria. Nonetheless, assuming for the sake of argument that some fictional Palestinian state is formed on paper, how long would it take for Hamas to seize power? Or Abbas, forced by his own weakness & lack of support, would form a unity gov't with Hamas anyway? Aside from the usual Arab tactic of threats, intimidation, & blackmail, what does this say about Abbas's committment to peace? This is a rhetorical question which answers itself. This whole "peace process" is an excercise in futility, a sham & deception, a make-believe process disconnected from reality. In reality, there is no political solution - the differences are irreconcilable. The correct response to this ludicrous statement from Abbas is to tell him to go right ahead & dialog with Hamas - and suffer the consequences.
4. Abbas you can
(01.10.08)
renew dialogue with Hamas if you can, but remember to fight your own fight. Do not look onto Israel when it goes bad again because definitely it must.
5. Bush goes to see the manger, while being escorted by jihadis
jack bauer   (01.10.08)
I couldnt make this stuff up if I tried. why would he go pretend to be interested in the "holy" parts being escorted around by martyrhood seeking PLO hadjis?
6. Once in a lifetime for Abbas..
Eric S.   (01.10.08)
He looks so happy pretending he has a State doesn't he? This could be a full time job for Abbas but like all other Palestinian peace negotiations in the past, I believe that they will let this one slip away as well.
7. "we hope this will not become a major issue"
yoni ,   jeruslaem   (01.10.08)
I agree! The constant fire of rockets into Israel should not become a mjor issue it should be overlooked for the sake of peace. as long as we have peace the rocket fire doesnt really bother anyone. Peace now will make sure of it!
8. Are you dreaming my Bush?
Nora   (01.10.08)
Peace at year`s end? Wish versus logic. You must be dreaming. There will be no peace with those all -or -nothing -Palestinians. Bush, you forgot one "small" factor: What about Hamastan?
9. OSLO 2 in the making

10. Do Pals want a State or just a place from where to lob Katys
Alan ,   SA   (01.10.08)
11. I have one simple question
Mike Jefferson ,   Washington, D.C.   (01.10.08)
Which has never been answered by leaders and pundits alike. Why is it that arabs can live in Israel, but Jews cannot live in "Palestinian" lands? You want peace? The day that the above is feasible, that will be the day that peace will occur. Of course that will never happen as the Paleos' intentions are the piecemeal distruction of Israel.
12. A Pal State and a divided Jerusalem are the last things
Rivkah   (01.10.08)
President Bush should want before his term in office ends. The 70th week of years of Daniel will then begin with all the horrors of the Battle of Hidekel (Tigris) River, the attack on the military of a young lion country described in Ezekiel chapter 32 which may be US forces in Iraq...the Russian led Moslem attack on Israel and North America when Gog (Chief Prince) of Magog (Russia) invades Israel and goes UP (north over the arctic) to the land of unwalled villages to take a spoil. Armageddon is seven years after the division of Jerusalem and the Palestinian State are official since the Covenant with Death (Resolution 666) was confirmed in 2007 with the New ENPI (New European Neighborhood Parnership Initiative). The Third Temple will be rebuilt on the Temple Mount and a world leader will enter it 3 and a half years after Jerusalem is divided, saying he is God when he is not. A slaughter of Jews on the West Bank will happen immediately after that, so Jews there should flee to the mountains to survive. Was Omri Sharon pardoned? If not, I am glad he was able to see President Bush. But I wish the President would go to see General Sharon, too, since he is being sedated against his will and there is little hope of his being delivered from his medical captors.
13. Dear Mr. Bush,
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (01.10.08)
Please do not forget that in 1967 the Arabs attacked Israel - and lost. As a result, Jews were able to once again live in their ancient homeland, the Land of Israel. When one country attacks another it can not expect the winner to "return" lost land. It would be absurd that Israel, who had to defend itself, has to return land to those very people who attacked her in the first place. It is not Israel who has to make concessions to the Arabs. It is the Arabs who have to make concessions to the Jews. The Arabs must acknowledge the rights of the Jews to settle and live peacefully anywhere they wish in the Land of Israel. Jews must be allowed to build homes and cities, parks and industry anywhere they want in the Land of Israel, without restriction or bother. If the Arabs agree to behave with the Jews peacefully and maturely, they too will have peace in the Land of Israel with us. Those Arabs who wish to live in Arab-ruled land have 22 other options. No one is stopping them from moving out.

20. road blocks
Richard ,   London UK   (01.10.08)
The number of the roadblocks has increased to 572, compared to 376 roadblocks in August 2005. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the increase in number represents a percentage increase of 52%. In the southern region of the West Bank, specifically in the Hebron area, while Israeli authorities removed a small barrier along Road 317, 48 new roadblocks were established
21. Peace ?...
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (01.10.08)
Peace is not on the horizon as : 1.Abbas is not a leader strong enough. 2. Most Arabs support terror. 3. Most Israelis see the Land of Israel as theirs since 4000 years as explained at http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/back-to-mishnah.html
22. Why are you Ignoring Gaza .Prez Bush ?
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.10.08)
Bush's Road Map is going so well as we see with Gaza. I just do not understand why the president did not go to Gaza to visit his democratically elected Palestinians there who aspire for the peace of his peaceful Islam ? Why are he and Olmert ignoring his great success in Gaza ?
