31. Wrong again Mike !
D.I.D.   (01.18.08)
What # 16, Gadi said is that these terrorists have brought us to a point of no return. YOU CANNOT STOP FIGHTING EXACTLY WHEN YOU ARE CONSTANTLY AND DELIBERATELY BEING BOMBED IN THE MIDDLE OF CIVIC CENTRES JUST IN ORDER TO KILL ISRAELI CIVILIANS. In such a situation you have to do something to stop the onslaught. And if they dare try some other weapons or more sophisticated rockets, then, dear Mike, we will apply even more force until the last of terrorists are destroyed. Capisci ?
32. # 5, "hero", fighting Mike.
d.i.d.   (01.18.08)
You would, wouldn't you ? But as a terrorist, in the end you wouldn't have a chance. You would die as a hero of the Islamist fundamentalist extremist and murderous organization called Hamas or whatever. Even worse than Nazis ! But if you tried our side, you would again fight, only this time against the Hamasnazi terrorists until the last one of them, as you put it. Not for the fun of it, but for survival. Then again, you wouldn't understand that, would you ? Taking a couple of weeks in the city of Sderot would teach you a few things about survival. But, of course, it is much easier for you to teach others ( I mean, Israelis) by distance learning, from a country which is actually fundamentally opposed to Hamas terrorism. Therefore, the next natural question is, who the hell are you ? Why don't you move back to Gaza ?
33. # 11, Tova, or whoever you are
did   (01.18.08)
Maaaan, you do see the chip in the eye of the Israeli, but you cannot bring yourself to see the huge wooden beam in your eye. Why am I not surprised at all of people like you?! You do employ hypothetical position takings by world politicians in case our Knesset... Please rest assured and put yourself at ease that nothing of the kind will happen. That is, if we the Israelis, keep on fighting your buddy terrorists to the end AND specimens like you who have nothing better to do but raise silly suppositions.
34. first empty fields and now empty buildings! Olmert must go!
redmiike ,   TA - LA - London   (01.18.08)
Can you imagine any other country that was being bombarded with hundreds of kassams saying .. 'that's enough, let's bomb an empty building!'. A joke! The Hamas parliament should be flattened when it's full! Israel could bring this to a close in few short days which would be much better for the suffering Gazans, 50% of whom are desperate to get out of there! What is better, minimal force for months or years with no results or extreme force for a couple of days and the collapse of Hamas! And please don't suggest cozying up to Hamas for a little chat! Mike

jared ,   Orlando US   (01.18.08)
Gaza has been overrun by Hamas Hamas has used that building as its interior ministry. It may have originally been funded by the PA. But, it was a Hamas possession and resource. Thus, it was a Hamas Ministry. You need to get your facts straight
36. To Mike...
Micha   (01.18.08)
you're a complete idiot. You think that works, to drop flowers on a group that has sworn to destroy you and your country? Are you from the land of rainbows and gumdrops? This is WAR. What happened in WWII? Yeah, maybe we should've dropped flowers on the nazzziiii HQ. That probably would have solved all our problems. Go live in Sderot and tell us that same answer after a week.
37. to #11 Chanalau, Tova in UK
jared ,   Orlando FL   (01.18.08)
You are not seriously drawing an analogy between the Knesset and an interior ministry building of Hamas. If you are , you need a comprehensive check of reality. Despite the arab propaganda, Hamas is a terrorist organization, consumed by hatred, with violence as its primary and really only tool for addressing grievances, and bent on the destruction of Israel. They feign protection of the palestinian people, when they only tend to bring destruction upon them with the war they foster. Their buildings embody their ideology and facilitate its implementation. The Knesset, and the israelis are NOTHING, not even REMOTELY comparable. The Knesset is akin to Capitol Hill or Parliament in the UK. The Hamas interior ministry building is more akin to a Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut or Hamas offices in Damascus, all with a terrorist bloodline in common

Olmert goverment. Classic case of "let's do something without really doing anything'. Pathetic
39. Reply to 5. "you recruited more youth to Hamas"
Jack ,   NY, USA   (01.18.08)
WHO CARES “if children and friends of those who got killed or injured will love you and embrace you”? LET THEM FEAR YOU NOT EMBRACE YOU. The Arab/Palestinian enemy respects power and force. This is a fact. Just look at the leadership of the Arab world- the weak are despised and held in contempt. APPEASEMENT AND RESTRAINT AND CAPITULATING TO INTERNATIONAL PRESSURE ONLY ENCOURAGE MORE MISSILES, TERRORISM AND KIDNAPPINGS.
40. Israel defends herself.
Michael Reising ,   Berkeley, CA.   (01.18.08)
"It felt like an earthquake," said Umm Fahmi, a woman who lives across from the blast site. "My house did not only shake, it jumped from its foundations and back down. How could they drop such a bomb in a residential area on top of people's heads?" she said, ( Y-NET QUOTE FROM PALE-STINIAN WOMAN). She should be interviewed in print and on TV to get her reactions to Qassams in last few days and bus blasts in the past! In English this is known as hypocracy.
41. Pitiful attack on one emplty building!
David ,   Houston   (01.18.08)
Meanwhile Shalit remains a captive and dozens of rockets and mortars are launched from Gaza every day! Now the Clown Prime Minister and his Surrender Minister Barack will start attacking empty buildings? Such a weak response will do nothing to stop the rockets and mortars. Time for a buffer zone in all areas where rockets are launched from. Warn the population and then flatten the area. The rockets will stop.

43. #41 - Buffer Zone - Stop Rockets
Christy ,   Boston, US   (01.19.08)
"Time for a buffer zone in all areas where rockets are launched from. Warn the population and then flatten the area." Remove the ability to fire rockets at Israel ... this needs to be done. Makes more sense than bombing empty buildings. Buildings don't fire rockets, people do. Stop the people. I do admire the precision bombing, however. Great job! (But won't stop rockets.)
44. Good practice run. Now take off the gloves and start the ser
Squalid Ibn Harman ,   Qtir   (01.19.08)
Good practice run. Now take off the gloves and start the serious attacks, cut off all electricity, gas, and water until there is a TOTAL cessation of Qassam, Grads, and mortars along with the return of Shalit. With GAZA TERRORISTs intentionally targeting Israeli citizens and Israel targeting the terrorist, this is totally ridiculous for anyone to bitch. We are far too kind and too moral. We should be sending in elite units just far enough to draw fire, relay accurate coordinates back, and for IAF to drop 1000 lbs bombs to wipe out the terrorists. If they hide behind civilians, too bad. Their problem - not ours. We must TOTALLY destroy and crush the terrorists. If they are too stupid to figure out that their constant terrorist rocket attacks on us are counter-productive, then they fully deserve what they get.
45. what took so long? target-rich environment, as long as rcket
dante ,   uk   (01.19.08)
as long as rockets, attacks are launched, respond by destroying the facilities of the terrorist gov't. keep doing it until the terrorists beg for a true peace. when they are willing to accept Israel as a Jewish State and repent of their hateful ambitions, then, they will be welcome to enjoy peace.
46. #33 - Tova is a guilt ridden Israeli that ran away!
redmike ,   tel aviv and london   (01.18.08)
She can only justify her hiding in London by attacking her homeland. We must pity her. She suffers everyday and every time she attacks Israel she feels worse. Mike
47. Destroy the buildings when they are full.
jason white ,   afula,israel   (01.18.08)
Destroy ham-ass and its' supporters.

jason white ,   afula,israel   (01.19.08)
We would party for a month and send thank you cards to the arabs. How are things in londonistan? It is better for us great chosen ones to slaughter than to be slaughtered.
49. #5 I wonder if they had morons like you in WW2
Danny   (01.19.08)
that complained about killing Germans, how it would simply perpetuate the war, guarantee the Nazis got more supporters.... Guess what the war ended and the support for the Nazis went down. By the way, if you really, honestly cannot see the difference between the Nazis and Israelis here are a few pointers: 1) The Jews didn't repeatedly attack Germany. 2) Germany was never surrounded by Jewish states pledging to destroy Germany 3) The Jews never killed the equivalent of 10,000 German civilians during WW2 4) The Germans killed over 80% of the Jews under their control and only stopped when utterly defeated - they stepped up the extermination in 1944 when it was clear they were losing. Israel in the same period of time has killed 0.1% of Palestinians under it's control and clearly could kill far, far more (remember we are accussed of killing over 1000 "civilian" in 33 days in Lebanon, if we sustained that rate in the territories that would be about 80,000 dead Palestinians) 5) When Israel fought it's war of independence we lost over 1% of our population, in absolute terms more than the Palestinians have lost and in relative terms ten times more, yet you aren't comparing Arabs to Nazis. PS I better you wouldn't "resist" but it is easier to call for some else to sacrifice to fit your model of right and wrong.

screaming and begging for a ceasefire in Lebanon War 2..... and Gulf War one and 1973.
51. Who won what and the future...
Micheal Reising ,   Berkeley, CA.   (01.19.08)
Re:# 50-To cut to the chase on your examples; in the Yom Kippur War of 1973, Egyptians and others had upper hand in their surprised and as always uprovoked attack for a FEW days, and then IDF could of wiped them out near the Western Suez (we had them figurativly and literally ringed while in Northern Israel we countered Syria's SAM's pretty well... and in Lebenon 1 when the IDF chased (shelled) the PLO and Arafat out of Lebenon & into ocean after at last it found a country that would take them (the PLO), just like the IDF takes the upper hand in slews of other skermishes and fights. In Iraq 1 when Israel was begged by the West, etcetra, to stay out lest the Arabs leave the coalition---painting a crystal clear picture of their loathing for Jews---we had U.S. in our corner, no shame, (but we did what was critical when we could as with Gerald Bull, Operation Operera, etc.) Lebenon # 2 I honestly havn't come to a conclusion except that you're correct, we need to prepare stockpiles of ordinance to counter the next malicious attack.

rachel ,   Israel   (01.19.08)
54. #51, few technical corrections
Danny   (01.19.08)
In 1973, the Egyptians goal was to bring Israel to the negotiating table in order to leave the Russian orbit, free up cash for their economy, get back the Sinai and put up a good show to make up for 1967. In all of these they succeeded. It is quite clear they never thought they would "win" militarily. The Syrians are a different matter - they were the ones firing FROGs in 1973 - and their defeat was far more clear cut than the Egyptians, so much so they have gone out of their way not to fight since. So much for "improved missiles with more precision and ammunition". 1982, technically we kicked the PLO out of South Lebanon, it was the Syrians who kicked Arafat out of Lebanon all together. But again the PLO had far better weaponry than Hamas has now and it wasn't Israel who called for a "ceasefire" or "wanted peace[ie to surrender]". As for Lebanon war 2, whether you think Israel won or lost, one thing is clear. Israel was not detered by missiles and Israel was not the one demanding a ceasefire. So much for #17's claims...
