2. Monitoring
J K ,   NYC, USSA   (01.18.08)
Would this be the same kind of monitoring that has allowed Hizbullah to infiltrate south of the Litani and fire 2 katyushas into Israel last week? I dont know about you, but boy, I can hardly wait.
3. EU urges Israelis to ease Palestinian movement
Eynav ,   USA   (01.18.08)
Should say IEU urges Israelis to ease Palestinian movement IEU AKA Islamic European Union

January 17, 2008 Netherlands: Muslim city councillor to non-Muslim constituent: "Shut up," "Drop dead," "Convert to Islam" Ain't Eurabia grand? "Muslim Councillor Tells Rotterdammer: 'Shut Up, Minority,'" from NISNews (thanks to WriterMom): ROTTERDAM, 17/01/08 - Labour (PvdA) politician Bouchra Ismaili has reviled a citizen of Rotterdam in an e-mail. The man was told that as a member of the white minority in his district, he should not complain about the Islamic organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir. Ismaili, who has Moroccan nationality, is a council member for PvdA in the Rotterdam district council of Charlois. "You are the immigrants here!!!", she wrote to the white man who drew her attention by e-mail to statements by the controversial Muslim organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir. Ismali also wrote in her e-mail reply to the man: 'Drop dead,' and 'convert to Islam,' Algemeen Dagblad reported yesterday. Ismaili has had her knuckles rapped by vice-party leader of the PvdA district council party in Charlois, Marco van Dijck. But he has not asked her to resign from the council. Ismaili says she sent the e-mail in a burst of anger. "I do not want to justify it, but as a Muslim politician, I have for years been harassed by mail from extreme right figures. Normally speaking, I throw them away unread. When I saw the mail at home, something broke in me. All the more because I had heard someone that day say that all Moroccans should be dead. For me, this was the last straw." Jos Parbleu, the man that received the e-mail from Ismaili, sent hundreds of local politicians an e-mail with statements by Okay Pala of Hizb ut-Tahrir. He is concerned about the rise of this movement, which is monitored by the AIVD secret service. The e-mail from Ismaili that he got back "shows the frightfully disastrous situation in which our country has landed!", he said in the newspaper. Indeed.
5. Any other words of wisdom from this ignoramus?
Jack ,   San Diego, CA   (01.18.08)
6. Benita Ferrero-Waldner you are full of it.
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (01.18.08)
You have no clue what it is like to live as Israelis do that have followed your moronic advise, not one clue at all. Come spend a year in Sderot and then just maybe you will have an idea and then I might listen to you. Until you have walked a kilometer in our sandels you have nothing worthwhile to say.
7. impossible
drop aid from USA   (01.18.08)
the way israel treats the native Palestinians is despicable. I am embarrassed that s many people writing from ther USA (probably zionist jews) support the awful crimes that the IDF commits. I SURE DONT.
8. More dumb stuff from the Euroweenies
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (01.18.08)
Alternate headline: "Idiot Euro Bureaucrat suggest suicide as acceptable lifestyle." Dont these sub-moronic goofballs ever shut the hell up? Her advice is sort of like offering an evening of steamy sex to a rapist as a means of a more positive social encounter. Cant they, simply leave serious matters to serious folks. Like me, for instance. Huh?
9. Occupation thives on murder, opression, stealing people land
Nik ,   Texas   (01.18.08)
Ending Jewish occupation in the Palestine is the only way out of the last 60 years of mess & trouble in the middle east. Incidentally, Jewish occupation of Palestine was created 60 years ago. Have the guts to call things by their names Ms. "Senior European official".
10. Another fool who has not read the Bible in depth.
Rivkah   (01.18.08)
How is it POSSIBLE that so many officials have no clue that a slaughter of the Jews will happen in Samaria, the West Bank, as seen by Daniel in the Bible long ago? IDF and Israeli police are not going to slaughter them. So, obviously, an international peacekeeping force OR a Palestinian police force is going to. Does this foolish woman have any idea what hell is going to be like for her when she dies? Or heaven with the loss of rewards? She will be the least in the kingdom of heaven OR she will be separated from God forever in a place of torment that is dark and hot and dry with no hope.
11. EU suggestions
J. Briscoe ,   Dublin, Ireland   (01.18.08)
Perhaps if the EU gave their largess to the PA on condition that terrorist outrages cease, Ms. Benita F-W, words might contribute to the easing of Israeli security. Otherwise her "smart ideas" will not work. Joe B. Dublin, Ireland
12. Don't take the poison offered
Hunt S. Cross ,   England   (01.18.08)
But don't accuse all Europeans of partiality, either. On the one hand there's Ferrero-Waldner and the rest of her coterie of freeloading political allies of Palestinian terrorism. On the other, there's those who pay for them to keep us safe and safeguard civilised values. It's right morally and you'd think it's so simple to grasp - stop terror first, then remove counter-terrorism restrictions when it's safe to do so. But our interfering leaders miss the point entirely. Don't let EU troops in, either - they're underresourced where they're fighting now, and the UNIFIL force has always been such a shining example of impartiality, hasn't it?
13. EU requests israel to ease restrictions
ivan israel ,   israel   (01.18.08)
Some things that seem difficult can in fact be simple. Tell the EU to tell the Palestinans to stop firing rockets and mortars into Sderot and environs and Israel will stop its actions into Gaza and open the border crossings.
14. EU urges Israelis to ease Palestinian movement
tinashkuli   (01.18.08)
Well of course! I'm sure the EU wouldn't want us to violate the Palestinians' right to murder Jews. HOW BRITISH TAXPAYERS ARE FUNDING HATE EDUCATION AND VIOLENCE IN THE MIDDLE EAST http://tpa.typepad.com/home/files/funding_hate_proof6_cors.pdf
15. Shut up Europe
Eran ,   Canada   (01.18.08)
Worry about the probelms in your own backyard. What Israel needs are true leaders who will take the bull by the horns and do the right thing for Israel. Enough talking, enough stuyot from the current Israeli leaders and the world.
16. Benita Ferrero-Waldner
(01.18.08)
Shut up please. You obviously don't understand what's going on in the middle east. Keep cleaning the dishes, don't worry about politics.
17. Int'l Monitors? Yeah right...
Yosh ,   Abuja   (01.18.08)
Go ask UNIFIL how they are doing up North!
18. Thanks but no thanks.
Masada ,   canada   (01.18.08)
Given the fact that A palestinian sniper managed to pick off an innocent ,no.No peace until all terror factions renounce violence and recognize Israels right to exist.Hamas continues to defy that as it appears the Palestinians are doing as well. The IDF is very capable of defending Israel from these groups.Appeasement never works and we all know it.
19. "Ease" the terror attacks against Israel.
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (01.18.08)
Yes, we've all been there thousands of times, "ease this", "free prisoners", "give a good will sign", "compromose for Peace" and all we got as more terror and more bloodshed. Enlugh is enough. Now the Palestinians do ALL of the above! Free Gilad Shalit, Stop Qassam fire, stop incitement and we'll think about giving them peace!

Careful with this woman, she is full of Arab cash and a member of the Alliance of Civilizations, a project to protect Arab countries from criticism form the press.
24. A Ludicrious Idea At Best.
Desert Storm Vet ,   SA, TX USA   (01.18.08)
In 2006, the world saw how well international monitoring fared dealing with Hezbullah. Now this person from the EU wants Israel to lower its guard along the Palestinian areas ie the same areas where Kassam rockets strike the town of Sdredot (sp?). What kind of an idea is this. Hamas will look at this as a military/ terrorist adventure for their suicide bombers to make a point: Israel does not exist! What is worse is having the UN monitor the area and do nothing while Hamas carries out its attacks against Israel. This is the biggest crock of sh*t yet. No way in hell this should be allowed to happen. If any attacks were to occur because of less restrictions along the border, Israel needs to "wipe the slate clean".
25. Palestinian Supporters
Desert Storm Vet ,   SA, TX USA   (01.18.08)
To those that support the Hamas/ Palestinian movement; perhaps you should join their ranks or are you folks trying to drum up money for Hamas so they can keep killing Israeli citizens....

30. EU Benitajavascript: save()
Martin ,   US   (01.18.08)
Sweetheart: Benita "saying confidence in new peace efforts depended on such improvements" requires Pals to stop attempts at murder mayhem maiming shooting stabbing bombing Israelis and destruction of Israel. Let's start there for a semblance of confidence building. Of that she dependably says nothing. So shut up!
