1. UN resolutions
Richard ,   London UK   (01.22.08)
Against Israel: up to the mid nineties, 65 Against Palestinians: None Aside from the core issues—refugees, Jerusalem, borders—the major themes reflected in the U.N. resolutions against Israel over the years are its unlawful attacks on its neighbors; its violations of the human rights of the Palestinians, including deportations, demolitions of homes and other collective punishments; its confiscation of Palestinian land; its establishment of illegal settlements; and its refusal to abide by the U.N. Charter and the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

3. Israel need not defend itself to the UN
Petra ,   usa   (01.22.08)
the UN has seldom seen Israel as a valid partner in anything. they'd rather condemn than help Israel. Most are muslims with freedom in the USA to drink, party and criicize. Move the UN to London. They can pray in the streets or, have their heads chopped off in good old Londonstan.
4. UN ,Israel easier to push around
Marcel ,   Florida   (01.22.08)
Why should the US,UN,EU risk angering the Islamic world when Israel is so easy to kick around and manipulate ? It would be too costly for them to anger moslem's so Jews are found to be much easier to sacrifice for the good of the world. The Jews are all too helpful in this and have always played the path of least resistance.
5. shameless lies

You are a superb advert for Israel. If all Israel's defenders are as erudite and enlightened as you it's a wonder everyone isn't flocking to live in Israel.
11. UN resoltions
Richard ,   London UK   (01.22.08)
Here is (Part of)a list of UN resolutions that Israel has not complied with, far more than Iraq. Note that she has also illegally developed nuclear weapons. Further, the situation is far worse than would at first appear, it involves the serious distortion of the official Security Council record by the profligate use by the United States of its veto power. (See Table) Israel's, defiance goes back to its very beginnings. This collection of resolutions criticizing Israel is unmatched by the record of any other nation as Israel stands in violation of more UN resolutions than ANY OTHER NATION ON EARTH. 12. But... But... Hamas Will Attack UN If UN Condems Hamas
emanon ,   USA   (01.22.08)
Israel will do nothing if UN condemns it. That is why it is easier to pick on Israel than the real bad guy.
13. According to the UN, Jewish life is cheap.
Dave ,   UK   (01.22.08)
14. I have to agree
Zardoz ,   USA   (01.22.08)
For a long time I have been critical of Israeli policies and actions, but in this case I have to blame Hamas for the current troubles. Israel is not going to respond favorably to rocket attacks, nor is Arabia going to be able to "push the Jews into the sea". So what are the options? Kill all the Palestinians? Not moral or viable. Do nothing? Not reasonable to assume Israel will do nothing. Negotiate? Everyone is willing, except Hamas. Therefore, the only viable option is negotiations. How do we get Hamas to negotiate? Cut off the oil and electric. I think this option is the most humane and effective way to get Hamas to negotiate. I support Israel in this move.

When will Muslims end their occupation of the holy of holies!
22. and more truth
Richard ,   London UK   (01.22.08)
The Israeli state was founded in 1948 on the forced expulsion of 700,000 Palestinians from their homeland. Hundreds of emptied Arab villages were renamed and repopulated with Jews. Israeli defense forces and militias committed a number of massacres in order to terrorize Palestinians into fleeing their homes, the most well-known being that of Deir Yassin in April, 1948, where Jewish paramilitary forces–the Stern Gang, the Haganah, and the Irgun–slaughtered 250 men, women, and children. But there were many others, including the massacre of October 29, 1948, in which Israeli soldiers murdered 80—100 men, women, and children from the village Dawayma in the Haifa subdistrict. The Jenin refugee camp that was so brutally devastated in early April was first created for Palestinians who were forcibly removed from the coastal region of Haifa in 1948. Now thousands of them are refugees yet again.
23. Fixing the juxtaposition of the real problem
Simon Mohammed ,   Falls Church, VA USA   (01.22.08)
There is a need to change the juxtaposition of the real problems. 1- PA and Gaza need to reopen the dialogue and the situation before June and work together for achieving peace with you based on the 1967 with the help of the international country. No one is going no where you are all staying there. Stop the rocket baby toys firing and consolidate their forces so to make order in their land. 2- Israel all faction need to agree that this is what they are looking for and quit the politic of when an agreement to be achieved the government will fail and to keep the government on an escalation and target killing is initiated. 3- Who ever is helping some one needs to focus on helping at achieving peace not destabilization 4- Israel need to quit destabilizing Iran and Iran need to show to the word that they are not seeking Nuclear bomb, no war should occur. 5- Let the words country work togother and safe destruction money to build every where and create a forum of mutual understanding between all people. And every one stop been hypocrite. Thank you with best regard and good luck

25. Ban Ki-Moon is talking from the moon
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (01.22.08)
Where is Moon now? On the moon? Doesn`t he know about the Qassams raining daily on Sderot? Or doesn`t he know how to call Haniyyeh? What`s going on at the UN? It`s high time to ban this Moon.
26. the homesick birds will always fly around its land
atilla karagözoğlu ,   Yeretz Ishmael   (01.22.08)
27. peres is not smart
peter42y ,   lisbon, portugal   (01.22.08)
Peres was one of the architects of Oslo. Peres fails to grasp the most basic evidences. un is formed by states , namely arab countries. In a conflict with israel arab states will never ever condemn fellow arabs . There is no chance UN will condemn the qassams and not Israel. Peres fails to see that
28. PA/PLO/Hamas, et al conduct DAILY WAR Against Jews
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (01.22.08)
Sderot's Jews live in continual fear of daily rocket attacks from Gaza. In the VIOLENT breaking of G-D's LAW: YOU SHALL NOT MURDER 70% of PA Muslims support suicide bombing of innocent Jewish Israeli men, women and children. Giving any supplies (or land) to implacable, barbaric enemies committed to Jewish annihilation is IMMORAL and treason!
29. What nonsense Richard
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (01.22.08)
All these resolutions were put by Arabs and their ares lickers. We did not start the war in Lebanon, We were invited by the north to protect Christians. Because Arafart was trying to take Lebanon for himself. We abided by the resolution to vacate Lebanon but Syria did not. I don't know where you learn your sh..t from but you are so biased it make me We stand completely alone, and we will defend ourselves both verbally and if necessary physically. We make promises and keep them. The Pals cannot say the same. They spout their hatred and the rest of the world is too eagre to lap it up. Perese for once said something right, but He and Rabin are just as responsible for all this by the so called even steven Oslo Accord that was so one sided I wondered whether he and Rabin had converted to Islam. To settle this we should go in take the whole lot back and kick them all out. Most of them are not true Holy landers, they were brought to Israel by the Brits. Egypt refused to take Gaza back because they didnt want them either. So go read the other side of the story. Go read up on all athe resolutions broken by the Arab nations, and other countries like Russia, UK, USA and EU. I'm proud to be an Israeli, and more than proud to be a Jewess and I will die - if I have to - to defend what was given to me by Hashem. Print this Ynet and listen to your readers.

Richard ,   London UK   (01.22.08)
During the period between 1967 and 2000, Iraq was the subject of 69 Security Council resolutions. By comparison, Israel has been the subject of 138 resolutions. Not surprisingly, most of those resolutions call upon Israel to comply with basic principles of international law embodied by the UN Charter. Many of them condemn actions taken by Israel and call upon Israel on more than one occasion to comply with previous resolutions that Israel ignored and continues to ignore to this day.
