Jews never accepted the New Testament as part of the Bible, so what it states is the authors opinion of history he personally never saw. 3. Pharisees is a New Testament term that does not exist in the Hebrew lexicon, Jews do not even know what it means. 4. Rabbinic courts that could handle capital punishment cases were disbanded long before Jesus. Rabbinic courts are never held on holidays such as Passover. 5. Lastly, even if one were to believe the tale of the Pharisee court, a handful of mistaken or corrupt people do NOT bring eternal condemnation on their entire race or religion. There were many, many who did horrific evils in the name of Jesus Christ, Tourqemada and his court for example. Do they bring eternal damnation on all Christians? Are all Roman citizens (people of Rome) condemned to eternal damnation? Even the Pope?as he does live in Rome.
