6. Now who is causing the problems?
Ephraim ,   Diaspora   (01.29.08)
Why doesn't Egypt let the food in. They expect Israel to let supplies into Gaza but they are unwilling to let food into their own towns for fear that the people of Gaza may eat. Where is the UN condeming Egypt? I can understand why no cigarettes. They can quit the nasty habit but everyone must eat. Not even the Israelis would deny food. HaShem says if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If you can do it without getting yourself blown to bits. But Egypt lets people starve for no reason.

solitarioh2005 ,   lisbon, portugal   (01.29.08)
The egyptians are preventing goods to arrive near gaza border. According to Haaretz " The Egyptians also prevented trucks loaded with merchandise from crossing the Suez Canal toward Rafah and El-Arish, apparently hoping to cut supplies to the markets and reduce their attraction to Gazans.". In the very day Arab League was denouncing Israeli blockade the egyptians were blockading supplies preventing them to arrive Gaza border

15. wait 'til the Egyptians realize they were paid in funnymoney
fisherman ,   California   (01.29.08)
I always wondered what the Gazans would do with the fake $100 bills brought into Gaza by the suitcase-full by Hamas. These were North Korean bills passed through Iran and Hezbollah got its share, too. A report on IMRA states that the Gazans paid for their gas, food, cigarettes, etc. with fake shekels and fake American currency. When the Egyptians come to terms with that... that banks will reject it, they will REALLY get mad!
16. Fish if true...600,000 people x fake dough=..lol

In arabic, "badu" is plural, and a "Badawi" is single bedouin.
18. Palestinians are treated like the Jews were in Europe.
jack ,   richmond, va, us   (01.30.08)
It is simply anti semitism. Egypt doesn't want the people to trade with the Palestinians because it my settle things down. Heaven forbid that the relatively wealthy and educated Palestinians might have a positive impact on the border. Imagine the impact of peace with both Israelis and Palestinians: the border towns in Egypt might positively boom with the far welthier Palestinians and Israelis. Hell, the Sinai might prosper. We certainly must avoid that possibility.
