Unlike the ultra orthadox i work , pay taxes and server in the army as well as volunteering in my community, so yes i have a democratic right. Jerusalem is the democratic capital of Israel not an ultra orthdox stronghole. I think you will find that the majority of gays dress in a regular way, jeans and shirt, i didnt see any one person dressed in skimpy clothes on the parade. We have the march because we are denied our freedome and basic human rights in the year 2008. I think you are missing the whole point. What makes Eretz Yisroel the land of the jews, the fact that we are jews, and this land was given to us on the basis that we keep the mitzvot of hashem. First of all Jerusalem is the democratic capital of Israel, no one group can deny antohte group its right to democracy because it dosent accept its idioligy. As a gay man in 2008 we are still denied basic human rights such as leagal partnership, adoption death inheritence hospital visitation rights etc In Iran gay people are executed because of the Shas party here in Israel we feel we are in danger and will protest for our rights.
