I remember when Likud wanted to appoint Roni Bar-Or tobe minister of justice. Although he was a lawyer he was turned down as a legal authority. Our President, Shimon Peres, didn't even have to a soldier for one day to be able to be a top notch minister of defense. Amir Peretz always successful ,on the whole, in his rough political career has the ability to run any ministry as its political head. If anybody doesn't agree with me about Peretz- think about this. If a predecessor in office works years to establish a policy and someone like Peretz steps in even two weeks later he would take the credit.
