Just as Christians have contextually reinterpreted every single scripture used to condemn homosexuality by fundamentalists, Jews should think of doing the same thing vis a vis the Torah. I myself have found an incredible oversight in the traditional interpretation of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah which turns the meaning of it on its head.
