1. Second tip wrong
Amir ,   Beer Sheva   (02.04.08)
"As you know, we (Haber and his people) elected a prime minister, not a manipulator or a shady dealer." Olmert was elected ONLY because he is "manipulator or a shady dealer ". That why Haber elected him. The rest are stupid remarks
2.  Are we ready for a change ?
Harold Lane ,   Tel Aviv   (02.04.08)
Since a ceasefire can turn into war at any moment, Israel must retain the territory needed for its defense, and maintain a deterrent military power to prevent the enemy from surprising her. Any sign of weakness is a clear call to the Muslims to renew Jihad, as they have been doing in the Gaza Strip, especially after the unilateral evacuation and the destruction of the whole Jewish region there. It should always be remembered that the Arab Islamic side calls for a ceasefire only when confronted by a strong, determined enemy, and keeps the ceasefire to some extant for as long as the enemy remains strong. There is, therefore, only one guarantee against war and the annihilation of Israel: military strength and the constant display of this strength by winning small skirmishes as well as major wars. Anything that even seems like an Israeli military setback is an invitation to another war. The Arabs and Muslims observe ceasefires only under the threat of terrible retribution. Nothing else. Any Israeli or Western leader who thinks that the Arab signature on a document guarantees that it will be kept, is deluding himself, and displaying dangerous ignorance. For that reason a new leader cannot ignore this alternative as described at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/stop-them-with-clear-cut-victory-part-i.html
3. Adendum tip:
(02.04.08)
...And the most important one, that you left out of your exquisite list. Dear Mr. Olmert: Buy bits of shame and pieces of honor - usually priceless, but with the 'savings' you have accumulated over the years, from huge kickbacks, those commodities will be available from many of your colleagues -, and remove yourself from an office that you have no moral right, nor the competence to be invested in. A very far-fetched tip, I concede. But who knows... a long shot?Perhaps Mr. Barak will follow suit. Who could have dreamed of anything more?
4. Labor and far left loved Sharon
Alex ,   LA, USA   (02.04.08)
because they knew he was corrupt. Peres, Ramon, and others joined Kadima because they knew that Sharon's family is corrupt and they wanted to get something (money and jobs) from that family. Now they love Olmert because they know that Olmert is corrupt.

6. Mr Haber, Olmert will do what you say...
Nora ,   Tel Aviv   (02.04.08)
like an actor. Your advice to Olmert is like the advice of Machiavelli to the Prince. Olmert will play it ad nauseam. He will buy the hearts of his present or future political opponents, he will weep with crocodile tears in front of those beraved families and keep saying that he is fully responsible. In short, Mr Haber, you are trying to teach Olmert how to become a political SOB. He does not need you for that.

15. stand_in_olmert
moshe Israel ,   k.motzkin   (02.05.08)
Eitan Haber has finally revealed himself he writes: " Second tip...WE elected a prime minister, not a manipulator or a shady dealer. " " WE " apparently refers to the Israeli voter. I don't klnow if Haber bothered to vote, but the Israeli voter NEVER voted for stand_in_olmert to be Prime Minister. As stand_in_olmert has proven by Leb II: stand_in_olmert is NOT qulaified for such a difficult job: Unashamed ...APPROVED the inadequate clown as da -finsse min is-stair,..... did NOTHING for 100,000's Israeli civilians were under rocket... .. DELAYED IDF ground attacks 30 days ! ! Yet HABER with stand_in_olmert , yes sly olmert, thinks or HOPES we have forgotten ! NEVER... moshe Israel
16. 9th tip: Find out how to resign.
Daniel ,   Israel   (02.05.08)
17. We don't need 8 tips - just 1 resignation!
We the People ,   The Galilee, Israel   (02.05.08)
And that is the resignation of Ehud Olmert! I just don't understand how Kadimah can allow this man to totally destroy a political party and the legacy of Ariel Sharon! Does Kadimah want to fade into oblivion as did Shinui? Tzipi Livni, your time has come. Take the reins and lead. The other sheep will follow and so will the people. FORCE HIM OUT!
18. The 8 Tips
Peter in Beirut ,   Land of the Cedars   (02.05.08)
Brilliant. For your sakes, and ours, I hope the PM [and everyone else in responsible positions] reads and follows this.

Why is ynet giving a platform to an Osloist?

Let's assume Olmert resigns, then what? The problem is not Olmert, it's Israel itself. Where are the leaders coming from..it's the system baby., with 60 parties, 55 too many. Parties determine Israel's cadre of leaders, not the people. It's about coalitions, and pleasing enough to sustain gov'ts., the silliness of a Parliamentary system. We (US) have basically 2 parties that control..plus an independent for those who straddle (often determining outcomes of elections). Israel's accuse US of evasiveness..of slogans. Maybe? But it works. Israel needs a few parties with platforms..tell it like it is, or what is needed. Then let the people elect their leaders..and Knesset members., proportionally. A Constitution wouldn't hurt either..maybe take the State of the Jews vs Jewish state out of the equation problem. Define Arab responsibilities...and punishments. Bring in capital punishment (12.00 hangman's noose for convicted murderers or their accomplices. No deals for releases either. Wars must have goals..minimal and maximum..or no wars. Remember, Iran's nukes are within 12 months.,just after our (US) election. Now that is serious.
