I can tell you what moderately wounded stands for. My best friend volunteered in Tsfat for Magen David Adom a few years ago. When the terrorist blew himself up, there were alot of casualties. But the so called "moderately wounded" included: sharpnel to the chest, penetrating the heart, a leg being severed by the sharpnel, that would require immediate amputation. Multiple sharpnel wounds to the head, that would require brain surgery, as the sharpnel punctured the scalp. These are the moderate wounds that Ynet is talking about. We should wipe out Gaza now and build a separation fence with Egypt now!!!!

Till when should the inhabitant of Sderot fear for their life and life of their children and endure the scandal of being bombed daily? When will the Israeli government react energetically, efficiently against the criminals of the Gaza Strip? We can only admire the courage of the inhabitant of Sderot. Kassam rockets are being daily launched from Gaza toward Sderot and the western Negev. What more is there to say? Mort Zuckerman, a true friend of Israel, recently commented that Israel has become a client state of the US. Because of this position, Israel must clear every response with Washington. Otherwise Israel is subject to subtle pressures like the US not protecting Israel from draconian UN sanctions and holding up American aid. In the case of the Sderot tragedy, Washington is hesitant to allow Israel to launch a military excursion into Gaza because of the inept response of the IDF and Israel's administration to Hezbollah during the second War in Lebanon. No doubt that Washington was counting on Israel to decimate Hezbollah and Olmert and the horrendous leadership of the defense ministry and the IDF command embarrased Bush. Now there is a crisis in Sderot that is as big a threat to Israel's sovereignty and deterrence as Iran. Quite simply, the hacks in the Knesset and the Kadima party don't see what will happen to morale if Sderot is abandoned. They also don't care about the ongoing horror that Sderot has to endure. Yet, Barak, refusing to give up his cabinet post, continues to support Kadima and keep it in power.

You do that and then they will hit TA with better and more accurate toys they recently got. Then we'll see who cries unlce first! The choice is always yours.

I am an ICU nurse in Israel and a former senior army combat medic. #4 got it wrong. In Israel moderately wounded is an injury which without treatment may cause death or severe complications within 24 hours. For example amputation of a hand, loss of an eye etc...

why do you keep writing the word "palestinians"? the people killed today were ALL TERRORISTS! there are no "normal palestinians". only terrorists, i hope u get for once and for all.

do you really believe that a fully-equipped modern army, freed from restrictions over civilian casualties, couldn't level ALL of gaza in 24 hours? or that the half-baked thugs in green masks could even put up a token resistance? do you really believe that hamas are better trained and equipped than saddam hussein's army? you need to stop smoking that funny stuff and face reality! if israel cries "uncle" it will only be long after all the arabs regret the day that they were born, and the day that their mothers were born.
