When Israel was founded, there was a feeling that it is time for change in the jewish mentality, it is a time for the Jews to start defending themselves from those who come to slaughter us generation after generation. and for a while, Israel did just that: Defend itself. Suddenly, the Jews all over the diaspora, felt proud to be Jewish. But then came the Jolly 90' and people reverted to the smae ol' same ol' mentality of caring more about money, business and comfort than about self defense, helping other Jews and not caring whether some anti-semite thinks we have the right to breath. Now Israel is no more what it was supposed to be: a safe haven for the Jewish people. So what's the point of its existence.
