Obama's popularity is because he is a nice looking black man who can conjugate speech correctly. He is void of ideas and isn't asked any tough questions by the press for fear of their being called racist. He is supported by most blacks, which is understandable, and white liberals who want to show exactly how liberal they are. He will probably win which will be absolutely terrible for the U.S. and for Israel too.

I guess I am looking for alternatives other than Clinton or McCain, because I'm afraid that they would rush into a war. Wars have a lot of ethical problems and sometimes the military solutions cause more problems than they solve. So it's a big selling point. On disadvantages, he does belong to a church in which some outside ideas have been brought inside the church. These include things such as liberation theology and a black value system. It's hard to tell how much these influence him. More worrisome is his abortion stance. This is perhaps the thing that may hurt him the most in terms of Christian voters. It's hard cause we can't get everything wanted in one candidate and what I'd perceive as a Christian's Christian type are few and far between in politics. Even with the disadvantages, I'm still interested in him cause I think that he also has some strong good qualities.
