I suppose acts of this type don't happen anywhere esle in the world? You might look at the various groups of fishermen on the Kinneret and then draw your conclusions. It might even be a form of terrorism too!
5. if it is not poison it is probably because of
(02.16.08)
the horrible mess on the beaches of the Kinneret which - no doubt - contributes to the bad water condition...

bob ,   chennai   (02.16.08)
No mercy for the greed for this criminal motive act if the alligation is proved. Israel must be a bit more strict in enforcing law, If we don't honore law next generation even don't care of laws..anarchy and negative developement will be the result. Quality of the law is importent than it's Quantity..

8. The kinneret
i ,   jerusalem   (02.16.08)
Having fished on New York City reservoirs both before and after 9/11, the attitude of the government and the citizenry regarding the kinneret seem insane. It is unthinkable to have motored boating, any commercial fishing, unregulated access, and farm and sewer runoff into our only large reservoir. It is time to tell the commercial interests (hotels and entertainment included) that the game is over and it now a protected closed area. The New York 16 billion gallon/day system was seized by rule of eminent domain, and access is limited to "the cutting of ice" and fishing and boating by rowboat only. This is coupled with restricted permits. and the boats have to be steam cleaned and stored at a registered location on the watershed slope. Most sport fishermen (at least in the west) have a healthy respect for environmental issues and are well behaved. Sort of a tall order for the Israeli scene, but one can dream, no?

13. Serious story, stupid headlines
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.17.08)
Was the headline "Silenced by fisherman" with a picture of a fish really necessary? Environmental disasters are well, disasters.
