Gay Iranians are not shooting missiles at anyone. They are just trying to live their lives causing no harm to anyone, not threatening anyone's existence. I would add that the same goes for Bahais who are also persecuted. I would mention also women who have been stoned to death for various offenses - and I have seen videos smuggled out of Iran that made me shudder. Just look at the images of the gay men hanging - and for what? There is no moral equivalency here. And Hamas & others share the same totalitarian ideology as the Iranians. The treatment of gay Palestinians is no less brutal. The persecution of Christians in Gaza is well-documented. And, unfortunately, the majority of Gazans support Hamas & the terrorism that they practice. I don't subscribe to theories of moral relativism - there is such a thing as good & evil and the way I see it, totalitarian ideologies are evil. There is also the question of self-defense - so you explain to me what you would do if someone punched you in the face every day, insulted you, threatened you, called for your death, and denied your right to exist? I doubt very much if you would find abstract ideas of moral relativism quite so attractive. You will note, by the way, that the rabbi did NOT call for killing the inhabitants, only destroying property.
