31. #27 Jews, Nazi's, Expulsion & Israel kissing Europe's behind
david ,   usa   (02.22.08)
the reality is Israel needs the EU on their side, as much as it seems Israel's right to tell the EU where they can shove it, democracy's must stick together. Israel has no where else to go, they can't turn to Russia or China for support. Israel must tolerate these types of criticisms from other democracies if they want to remain on decent terms, even if they are luke warm at best. It sucks b/c these very same nations that make up the EU collectively conspired and assisted in our expulsion, persecution and destruction, so we should be equally as cautious about meeting their demands.
32. I live in the EU
Juan ,   Spain   (02.22.08)
I live in Spain, part of the EU, and it doesn't even stick to it's own rules within its own community. They can't agree over Kosovo. They can't agree about much, except lining their own pockets, but never letting us see the accounts! They want to mind their own business and let Israel get on with fighting terror.
33. International law and Gaza.
Jean Van Daem ,   Metula   (02.22.08)
Gaza is lacking any independent sovereignty and the use of military force is, in that case permissible. Israel imposition of economic sanctions on the Gaza Strip is a perfectly legal means of responding to terrorist attacks as Israel has no legal obligation to engage in trade with Gaza as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/01/international-law-and-gaza-assault-on_31.html
34. That curious beast, the EU, strikes again
Cameron ,   USA   (02.22.08)
I'll be damned if I, or they, can figure out what is in their best interest, or what their ultimate goal is, on far too many issues.
35. To The EU
NYC Girl   (02.22.08)
Stop whining about "collective punishment." The Palestinians COLLECTIVELY voted in Hamas.
36. Collective Responsibility
Heydi ,   Winnipeg, Canada   (02.22.08)
When you bear collective responsibility, sometimes you have to endure collective punishment, sad as it is.
37. as a european I can say that these morons don't represent me
jack bauer   (02.22.08)
They have no mandate. they get voted into power by a fraction or voters who actually turned up to vote. they are manipulated by greed and power, as well as a fear of islamic terrorism within their own countries.... they think that by appeasing their enemies(by sacrificing Israel) they will delay their own dhimmitude it will not work and those that curse Israel will end up cursing themselves
38. Is a "lambast" worse than a "slam"?
Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (02.22.08)
It seems not a few days goes by without some article about the EU or UN "slamming" something Israel does or doesn't do. Ynet, like Ha'aretz prints everyone of those "slams". Today Israel is "lambasted". Is that better or worse than being slammed? Hardly matters. The EU only matters if we take them seriously. But while on the subject, I'll take this opportunity to slam, lambast, accuse, berate, belittle, deride, and curse those in the EU and elsewhere who daily curse Israel for living.
39. EU parliament
Andras Bereny ,   Kfar Tapuah, Ephraim   (02.22.08)
EU parliament is not legislative body, therfore members are not Europen "lawmakers". At best they are European "influencers".
40. SURPRISE SURPRISE
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (02.22.08)
How is this possible, our leaders have been bending backwards to appease our long time buddies the europeans. Even not protecting our own citizens has not been able to found favor in their eyes. What happend the europeans have always been our biggest supporters all throughout our history. What a bummer maybey some more appeasement , giving in and assimilation projects will change their loving hearts. Hey why learn anything from history at all, lets do the twist with our friendly europeans.
41. Oil
DM   (02.22.08)
Does anybody see a connection with the high oilprices? High oil prices low stocks... We are all being bought by the arabs... Europe does not understand proctetionism, and is being bought and pressured by the arabs who are in fact in control of the politics and the educational system...
42. Eurabia lambasting Israel
Brod ,   USA   (02.22.08)
Dominated by Islamist-JIhadist Trojan Horse, Eurabia is now becoming a big Dragon. It is time for Eurabia to stop meddling in Israel's internal affairs.
43. #16
Sandy ,   Canada   (02.22.08)
exactly my thoughts when i saw the planes hitting the towers.
44. Israel Vs Gaza and the European Commimnity
Al Bee ,   Sterling, USA   (02.23.08)
The Europeans are unabashedly anti-semetic. It is very difficult to deny the issue and and objections are lies and innuendo. The Europeans should be lecturing and denying money and aid to Palestinians until such time as they disavow the war d against Israel. Hitler and the Nazis are still only surface deep in Europe and threatening to resume the destruction of Jewish people via the Muslim was machine,
