Normally I enjoy your posts - but you are totally wrong on this one. Most Americans could care less. Are we afraid of those nasty terrorists.....called 'Kenyans'? . Also, both Obama and Hillary enjoy overwhelming support by the jewish community, in part b/c we recognize the damage Bush has done to the world, and in part, frankly b/c we really like both of the Democratic candidates. The fact that Obama enjoys a bit more support is reflective of a practical approach (i.e. he has the best chance) more than anything else. I dont expect you to understand our politics anybetter than us to understand yours. People frequently mention Carter as the 'worst president ever' but surely that accolade belongs to Dubya. The US is in defecit both financially and morally due to Bush and his cabal. Bush lied about WMDs and everything else. Do you not recall that awful hubris on the Aircraft carrier? US and British and Canadian soldiers are still dying because of an illegal invasion of a country that had no WMDs or posed no threat to the world. Thousands of young men are injured for life and will have to be cared for from our taxes. And for what reason? Oil prices have shot up to over $100 a barrel. They were around $20 a barrel before the illegal invasion of Iraq. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been needlessly killed and al queeda - where it did not exist before - has come to Iraq. Bush is inarticulate and ignorant. He cannot sustain an argument or deliver an incisive point. All he does is 'er, er, um, freedom, er, um, Terror, er, um . . . . . . ' He has been a lame duck president for at least the whole of his second term. The world and most Americans long for him to go. And will rejoice when he does. He is by far the worst president in modern US history.
