Politicians will say just about anything for a vote, support populist & harmful policies, attempt to bribe voters, make impossible promises, & generally avoid saying anything that might offend any potential voter. You might say that they do their best to disguise their policies rather than illuminate them. Obama specializes in empty rhetoric - but he's obviously not stupid & it should be obvious that he has an agenda. The details of that agenda will be better revealed in the course of the actual campaign. For all that Obama claims to be for change, what he actually represents is the old failed policies of the left.

Let's hope McCain will win. If democratic, Obama is anytime better than another 4 years of Bill Clinton.

He's Gooood..Real Goooood. He tippy toed around the Farakkhan issue until Hillary nailed him. Yesterday he came out against a strong Israel by bashing Likud (slick Obama style using circular speak of course). He still has ties to many Jew haters like Bryzinski & Wright. Jr.. Even Nader nailed him on reversing his pro-Palestinian bias AFTER he announced his presidential run. His voting record is more far left than Ted Kennedy! This is proof that the radical left has co-opted the Democrat Party. The radical left is fundamentally anti-Israel. Obama can talk til he's blue in the face. He is NO friend of Israel and short of total & clear rejection & denouncement of Frakkhan (which will NEVER happen because Obama NEVER apologizes) , he proves he is hardly a good friend of Jews either. Obama tells blacks not to be ant-Semitic. Obama belongs to a church whose stated mission is unashamedly racist and whose pastor travels with an gives awards to Farrakhan who has called " the Jews a gutter religion." Yet while he is willing to reject and denounce such, he is unwilling to find another church to belong to. Is he for Israel? Is he for Jews? When he does the correct thing and resign from his church we can then re-examine the issue. As for now his actions speak louder than his rhetoric. He is not for Jews and he is not someone Israel can look to for unwaiverable support support.

You're absolutely right. The issue isn't really Louis Farrakhan, who most people recognize as a racist and a lunatic, but rather Obama's association with the people you've listed in your talkback. These are the ones who are under the radar for most Americans, but are just as dangerous as Farrakhan.

Over the last few weeks we have discovered how Senator Barak Obama has surrounded himself with Israel haters. Obama has assembled an veritable all-star team of Israel haters as his chief foreign policy experts. Any Jew would need to be certifiably insane to vote for him given these circumstances.

Obama's statements regarding support for Israel contradict what he had said a couple of days ago. He had said that friendship to Israel can not be measured by support for the Likud party! This means that if the Likud wins in the next Israeli elections (which will probably be the case) Obama will not FULLY support Israel as other US presidents did in the past. The Jewish community in the US should see this and not vote for Obama.
