1. OLMERT IN JAPAN RIGHT ?
Atilla Karagözoğlu   (02.27.08)
2. Thanks to Shas no money to defend Sderot Residents
Simon ,   TA Israel   (02.27.08)
How can the goverment say there is no money to protect the residents of Shas when they allocate $131 million to the Shas education system. Let a SHAS MK go to sderot and look those people in the face and expalin why such an extravagent amount of money is in SHAS pockets instead!
3. This is pathetic
David G.   (02.27.08)
So, Hamas does not fire rockets for a few days and the IDF gets annoyed by too much "calm". What better way to solve this problem than to kill a few Hamas members to get some Qassam fire? Of course, then, the IDF will do nothing to really impair Qassam fire, and the Sderot residents once again pay the price. The IDF just wanted to give some training to their pilots and test a little bit their guided missiles. Sderot residents? Well, they can serve as a bait once again in a few days, when the IDF feel like they want some (but not too much!) action.
4. IDF should lay mines in each area used for Qassam launches.
Scott   (02.27.08)
Pretty soon they'll have no where to fire them from without exploding themselves. Well , why not? Nothing else is working, is it?
5. Responsibility is not equal attrition
Bill Ross ,   Alabama, USA   (02.27.08)
>>>...Hamas must bear responsibility for the situation," he stated. Four Israeli children are not avenged by kiling 5 Hamas. As long as Israel views this as a game of attrition - tit for tat - it will be a losing game. Hamas is a military enemy at war with Israel (that is what Israel needs to learn from being barraged daily by rockets) and must respond with a crushing military strike - not just on the "combatants" but on the whole people that voted them in. Alternatively, if you think it is a sin to respond when you have such military advantage, you can just wait until Iran gives them dirty bombs and nukes, and Syria gives them guided missles and Al-Qaeda give them... well, you get the idea. DON"T be guided by "what the world thinks." The world already thinks you are the evil scum of the Earth just for existing, and failing to submit to Allah, etc. And don't count on Obama. He is already saying that "Israel will have to make the tough decisions in order to acheive peace..." Oh good grief. Somebody dope slap all of these people. WW-IV is on, but only one side is willing to admit it!

aaron ,   ra'anana   (02.27.08)

13. tit for tat
Richard ,   London UK   (02.27.08)
Hani Shaban Naim, 43, a father of five, was killed early February by an Israeli missile fired into his classroom in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun. The Israeli army said the missile, which also wounded three students in the agricultural college, was aimed at a rocket-firing crew nearby.
14. tit for tat?
Richard ,   London UK   (02.27.08)
Palestinian medical sources reported on Friday (FEB 15) night that eight Palestinians, mainly members of one family, were killed and nearly eighty others were injured when the Israeli air force fired missiles at the house of one of the leaders of the Islamic Jihad in Al Boreij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Dr. Moawiya Hassanen, head of the Emergency Unit at the Palestinian Ministry of Health, said that eight residents were confirmed dead and 40 others were injured, 10 seriously.
15. and more come to kill all israeal to go from home
israeal ,   hefa   (02.27.08)
16. #2 Protection is not the answer
M.M.   (02.27.08)
Carpet-Bombing Gaza is the answer and there will be peace and quiet. Do you want Sderot people to live in cages while the animals are let loose to do whatever they want? It’s not reasonable to protect every single home, as well as, people walking on the streets. How about starting to think sensibly? Besides, you're clearly jealous of Shas and upset that the government supports Orthodox Jewish organizations you so despise! Where was your outcry when the public school teachers got a raise after the strike? Where was your outcry when the government supported liberal arts and other shtuyot?
17. # 3 you are delusional
izzy d   (02.27.08)
Your incredibly inaccurate analysis of the situation borders on insanity. Your assumptions and conclusions are so far from reality that there are men in white coats looking for you as i write this. i have no idea where you get your information from, its so inaccurate that i can only guess you have been watching the BBC
18. I feel your pain Sapir
Ehud Olmert ,   Tokya   (02.27.08)
I'm hoping a geisha can massage that pain out
19. # 3 pathetic?or naive
Natan   (02.27.08)
Do you think for a minute that just because Hamas did not fire a missile for a couple of days, IDF should just sit back and wait?? This is a war and in a war you are always on the attack
20. How long?
Phil ,   US   (02.27.08)
How long will the Israeli people put up with Kadima's treatment of Sderot? This government, besides being totally incompetent, cares nothing about its people. These cynical and corrupt incompetents won't even help the people of Sderot to reinforce their homes. Nothing is safe in this besieged community. Schools, colleges, homes, hospitals, playgrounds, are fair game for the terrorists and the government continues to use ineffective tactics of responding to each attack and shooting a missile at a car or an empty building. Even the grievous injuries suffered by Sderot children has not caused the cynical government to do something effective. I refuse to buy Israel bonds or anything connected to the government anymore. Instead, I am giving my money to individual Israeli charities such as Hadassah, Mogen David Adom, etc.
21. Israel MUST act to defend its citizens. Forget
(02.27.08)
the USA, the UN and the EU. They will see you die first and they won't wince.
22. The rockets on Israeli territory cannot be tolerated.
Jean Van Daem ,   Metula   (02.27.08)
The principle of self-defensive pre-emptive strikes are legitimate, as are targeted killings. That applies to heads of states who support terror, as are any and all heads of terror organizations, including religious and/or political leaders. Unfortenately democratic countries have traditionally been unable to agree on a definition of terrorism, a fact that has hindered efforts to fight the phenomenon on an international level. This new kind of war is explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/02/new-war_01.html
23. Israel's Peace Partner Speaks Again
emanon ,   USA   (02.27.08)
24. Ynet, WHERE ARE PHOTOS of innocent civilians killed/injured?
M.M.   (02.27.08)
Why do you only display photos of injured terrorists? Do you avoid showing pictures of tragedies in Israel by the terrorists because you belong to the PeaceNow/HumanRights/anti-Israel organization and do not want the world to see what's truly happening in Israel?
25. 4. it's an interestin idea...has Israel signed a treaty
(02.27.08)
against the use of land mines?
26. #22 this can not be tolerated
Richard ,   London UK   (02.27.08)
Bethlehem Six Palestinian civilians were injured at midday on Friday (Feb 8) when Israeli troops attacked a nonviolent anti-wall demonstration in the village of Al Khader, located near Bethlehem city in the southern West Bank. Protesters originally planned to reach the construction site of the wall, but soldiers utilized barbed wire to block the way. As protesters reached this barricade, soldiers showered them with tear gas and sound grenades. Among the six injured were three children. Also on Friday, the villagers of Bil'in, located near the central West Bank city of Ramallah, along with international and Israeli supporters, conducted their weekly protest against the Israeli wall being built illegally on the villager's land. Israeli troops installed a military barrier to block the path of the demonstration. As the protesters reached it, troops showered the demonstration with tear gas and shot rubber-coated steel bullets. One Palestinian teenager, Saarie Khalil, 18, was shot in the arm with a rubber-coated steel bullet.
27. This is disgusting, terminate the terrorists
Johnny ,   Stockholm Sweden   (02.27.08)
Look at the picture, those people have not asked for this.
28. #24
Invicta ,   Europa   (02.27.08)
YNET have persistently not posted pictures I have sent to them of dead and mutilated Palestinian children. The results of Israeli missiles attacks on civilian areas in Gaza. There are proportionatly many, many more Palestinian casulaties than israeli. Does that make YNET Rightwing facists? Probably not.
29. Now imagine giving these animals half of Jerusalem
M.M.   (02.27.08)
30. Time to Stop Appeasment of the World and ACT
Daniel ,   DC   (02.27.08)
1. The IDF will do some mnor skirmish and say they have answered this attack. 2. The world will condemn them for killing some Palestinians Israel needs to ignore the world.Stop the pathetic minor responses. Enter Gaza with a real force and set up a "no mans land." as a safety zone. If the Gazans attempt to fight, shoot to kill. Flatten the area of all buildings in the safety zone and defend it like a new border. If the rockets do not stop even after that keep moving into Gaza. Eventually there will be no place for these cockroaches to scurry. Ideally the Gazans who are tired of being the brunt of the IDF will also join in and rid themselves of these sick rulers.
