uli ,   jerusalem   (03.04.08)
4. 'bombarding without distinction' ?
Nick ,   London   (03.04.08)
Israel could only manage to kill about 60 civillians then? they could kill that many with one drop if they were 'bombarding without distinction' It's Hamas who make no distinction, when will the world see this?! Hamas fired 1,000+ rockets with no idea where they will end up!
5. No; it's a matter of time
(03.04.08)

ROLAND SEENER ,   LONDON ENGLAND   (03.04.08)
SUBSTITUTE "PALESTINIANS" ARE USING INDISCRIMINATE FORCE TO PRODUCE A MORE EVEN HANDED PICTURE,AND ALSO VISIT THE HOSPITAL WHERE THE 8 YEAR OLD YOUNG BOYLOST HIS LEG ,AND THEN SAY THAT THE PALESTI ANS PROVOKED THIS "UNDERSTANDABLE "ISRAELI RESPONSE....THEN A DEGREE OF BIAS IN FAVOUR OF MOSLEM BRETHREN WILL HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND A SYMPATHY SHOWN TOWARDS ISRAELS HEARTACHE.THEN MERE SPROUTING OF WORDS,MIGHT HAVE BEEN ,OR WILL BE OF USE.
9. Let's lob a few rockets on Cairo
Yisrael ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.04.08)
and see what these hypocrites do !!
10. Abou Ghoul arms Hamas
Yessir Ibn Badkarma ,   Kanwait   (03.04.08)
First Egypt arms Hamas with explosives and missiles and then complains when Israel defends itself. What a joke! Typical Arab ignorant logic.
11. Excessive Force ?
Marc ,   Nice, France   (03.04.08)
Impossible : Hamas claims victory ! If we believe Hamas, the use of force was then unsufficient...
12. I'm surprised
RobertK ,   Jerusalem   (03.04.08)
I thought the Egyptian FM would say "Israel hasn't used enough force yet. Jews have as much right to live as Muslims, and the situation of rockets raining on Israeli towns is intolerable." Geez, I'm disappointed.
13. but also the fault of egypt!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (03.04.08)
let's not forget the role of egypt in all this: it was egypt's failure to guard the border that allowed hamas to smuggle in larger rockets, and led to this lates round of escalation. the real question is whether this was an accident or not?
14. The failure of the Oslo agreement.
Jean Van Daem   (03.04.08)
The current path to peace is a failure : It is simply not working, wasn’t working, and will never work. After 15 years, billions of dollars in aid, and unlimited diplomatic support,” the Palestinians have nothing to show or to offer. The solution to the presence of the Arabs west of the Jordan should be find elsewere as explained at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2007/12/oslo-lesson-that-was-never-learnt-part_4002.html
15. If Egypt were the country getting bombarded with rockets...
Rob ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.04.08)
Hmmm? How would they act? Would it be OK then?
16. Hamas Using Excessive Coersion
emanon ,   USA   (03.04.08)
Do people willing want to be human shields? Not unless they are brainwashed that their death as such a shield will be a shortcut to everlasting glory. Now we're at the crux of the problem: by launching their attacks against Israel surrounded by brainwashed civilian hostages, Hamas sacrifices their own people to make Israel look like the indiscriminate aggressor. This then becomes a Win-Win for Hamas: fewer of their people to care for, meaning more money to spend on weapons, plus the resulting publicity spin making Israel look bad.
17. Kiss my excessive force.
Mark ,   Elrom   (03.04.08)
18. Mubarak:"Israel using excessive force"
Reality Check ,   BaGolan   (03.04.08)
Tell that to the SCORES of innocent African refugees - most women and children - that the Egyptians have massacred by the borders
19. HAMAS intentionally hide amongst civilians and wants casualt
Squalid Ibn Harman ,   Qtir   (03.04.08)
HAMAS intentionally hides amongst civilians and wants civilian casualties for the PR value. They don't give a damn about their own people as long as they can attack Israel. THE DESTRUCTION OF ISRAEL AND JEWS IS THE UNCOMPROMISING OBJECTIVE OF HAMAS. They are not willing to settle for anything else.
20. "May the Excessive Force Be With You"
Squalid Ibn Harman ,   Qtir   (03.04.08)
21. OK, maybe we are heavy handed but what about the US in Iraq?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.04.08)
One terror attack and the USA and the British have caused the deaths of between 81,000 to 89,200 CIVILIAN deaths in Iraq since 2003! Yesterday, Monday 3 March: 71 dead civilians in Iraq! Not my figures. Take a peek at the Iraq Body Count site. We all know that some estimate these figures to be grossly understated and closer to a million! I suppose this is reasonable force by a country that has never been attacked by Iraq? Dr. Rice and her boss just don't get it. You CANNOT make peace with people who deny you the right to exist and who constantly work at destroying the State of Israel no matter what the cost! When is that basic fact going to penetrate their thick Yankee skulls? The Palestinians were given huge gift by Israel when we withdrew from Gaza, at great cost to ourselves, both politically and ideologically. They could have used the infrastructure and beauty that we left behind to build the greatest tourist resort in the Eastern Mediterranean. What did they do? They destroyed everything and chose the path of violence and sacrificing their kids to further their barbaric hated of Israel and the Jewish people! There is no "Road Map". There is no peace process and whether you or President Bush like it or not, there will be no peace between Israel and the Arab world until the Arabs stop killing our people and accept our right to our country. They have lost many due to their hatred. We have lost over 30,000 in the last 60 years, many of them children, and millions due to the persecution of our people over the ages but we have built a country which leads the world in technology, Nobel Laureates and a host of other achievements. What have they achieved? Nothing but death and destruction! We must and we will hit back and hit back hard!
22. A tin can in the head is...
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.04.08)
supposed to be 'distinctive' all-of-a-sudden.
23. Egypt should abandon the Camp David Accords
Shulamit   (03.04.08)
Egypt should abandon the Camp David Accords, demand the removal of US occupation troops from the Sinai and move troops into the Sinai. Israel's occupation benefits from the knowledge they have no threat from Egypt. Egypt should also supply arms to the resistance in Gaza and provide any other support needed.
24. #1: Why? Here is why...
(03.04.08)
Every outgoing American president wants to claim that he negotiated peace between Israel and the Palestinians. It makes a great photo shoot and chapter in his biography. If you think back over the years you can even picture the photos with the outgoing American presidents and the current Israeli PM and terrorist leaders shaking hands at the White House. GW got his photo a couple months ago and wants to "make this happen" before he leaves office. Israel is messing up the whole peace plan by not letting themselves by bombed on a daily basis. You're ruining Chapter 6 "Peace Between Israel and Palestine." Now park the tanks and keep your head down for 10 more months will you??!!
25. "IDF Bombarding civilians without distinction"
eh-oop ,   UK   (03.04.08)
And the sphinx has its head stuck up its own _______. If Egypt were really peace-minded and dedicated both to the welfare of civilian populations and the spirit of the peace treaty with Israel, those Grad missiles supplied via Egyptian territory would all have been "adjusted" to explode on the launch-pads, wouldn't they?
26. EGYPT last week SHOT 6 Sudanese trying to get to Israel
Scott   (03.04.08)
Fancy getting shot trying to get into the 'racist Zionist entity' from modern Egypt. So how's that feel? Very excessive , I'd say. Hypocrites. Not worthy spittle.
27. Rice speaks as though she is talking to Children
USA   (03.04.08)
Rice says Hamas is the "spoiler" of the peace process. And Israel is supposed to ignore these (murdering) 'spoilers'?? and go on and sign agreements which only work to Israel's detriment? What is Israel expected to give up this now in real time in exchange for empty promises on the other side. Israel is not dealing with misbehaving children here. She is fighting to protect her citizens against maiming and death from dangerous enemies. Rice is over her head. Israel needs to handle its own security needs as it sees fit. USA help can come in the form of support - politically, financially and with armaments. But forget useless "agreements".
28. haaaa?
(03.04.08)
is this statement coming from egypt who said they will shoot any palestinian or break their legs and bones if they dare cross over from gaza to egypt again?????? and these are your beloved brothers you are reffering to who do not fire rockets at cairo or alexandria or over the gaza border into egypt. you just executed tons of muslim brotherhood opposition personalities in your jails and incarcerated hundreds still and you have the temerity to accuse israel of defending itself with all force possible? such chutzpah!
29. The hypocrisy of the left.
Jean Van Daem   (03.04.08)
The hypocrisy of the left is astounding. They shout, "End the occupation now!" but when Israel did end the occupation of Gaza, they accused Israel of unilateralism. They cry out against racism, but they treat the Palestinians with a paternalistic racism that considers them so primitive they cannot be held responsible for what they do. After all, I have been told, you can't expect the Palestinians to change, they grew up with an anti-Israel narrative. Israelis are expected to change. Israelis who have lived for years under the threat of Arab aggression and Palestinian terrorism are expected to change and to forgive and to apologize. But Palestinians are not expected to change. They are not expected to stop broadcasting children's TV programs that fill their children's minds with racist hatred. No wonder the Palestinians keep calling themselves victims. More about correctness at : http://israelagainstterror.blogspot.com/2008/02/collapse-of-political-correctnesswhere.html
30. Shulamit Egypt has violated the Camp David Accords
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.04.08)
for the past 30 years now they have not been in compliance. If the ragheads are stupid enough to try it a fourth time there won't be anything left. I was there in '73 and really wouldn't mind finishing the job.
