31. Invicta #7, 18
Steve ,   Fla.   (03.04.08)
If you know anything of your history, you would be aware, White Europeans conquered, murdered, expelled, despoliated, etc., Native Americans (Indians) without compunction because, #1 they believed it was God-ordained that White European colonizers possess this continent, and #2 the Natives were considered inferior savages and were therefore not worthy of this wonderful land. White Europeans overspread the north American continent (see: "Manifest Destiny") utterly destroyed and displaced the natives. Little doubt my property here in Florida was inhabited by Seminole Indians at one time. Israel by comparison to America and most other conquering nations, looks saintly by comparison. Furthermore, the entire Bible is littered with passages affirming that Israel was given to the Jews by God Almighty in perpetuity. It does not belong to any other people including the Arabs, who are squatters on Jewish land. Even the Qur'an says Allah gave the Holy Land to the Jews. So your complaint, Invicta, is with your Maker, not with me or any other Jew.
32. Rice watered down; Sent accidentally to wrong article...
Michael Reising ,   Berkeley, CA   (03.04.08)
ACCIDENTALLY SENT TO 'GAVATI BRIGADE" ARTICLE, corrected here. Good start, Israel, keep bombing and too bad for civilian casualties; there will always be collateral damages. If a rocket lands on Israel's territory, bomb them as I said I before back into the stone age. Why has the IAF not implemented a shoot on sight policy for anyone around an area where a missle was launched (or is about to be launched?) And regarding Rice, she is hired dirrectly by Bush, and as many suspect, she makes no independent policies; she is nothing more that his mouthpiece. I live in the U.S. and studied international politics here, and this is nothing less than fact. Unless there is some secret reason Bush has forced the IDF to put on the breaks, triple the number of Israeli strikes. While it is fact Bush has influence over Israel, in this case it is undue and wrong, (something which I keep trying to answer,... probably having a lot to do with secret agreements, fear of leaving office with a 20% approval rating as well as a lot of other factors it would take to much time to explain here), so we should thus implement what Barak has been aggressivly pushing for militarily and immediately!

C.Rice has arrived in the area for another sightseeing tour. She has nothing else to do in this holy land. She has some urge for both the Israelis and the pals .to be friends. She must know that they are cousins.Rice must accept the old saying YOU CAN SELECT YOUR FRIENDS BUT FAMILY IS FORCED INTO A UNION. What must the Israelis and pals talk about ANNAPOLIS It is past tense.Nobody ever believed in that nonsence.Money ???now lets say how much?? The Israelis and the pals will accept all what is donated.Talk peace __ WHY Nobody will give an inch.Give land away =another war.Devide Jerusalem?? Pt will be easier to devide America.Give the red Indians most of the land and the afro-americans or angloaemricans or french-americans can device the remainder.Mrs Rice must realise there is no pure bred americans as she herself calls herself an afro-american.Who is her first love AFRICA or AMERICA ?when she has decided then maybe Israel can hear what she babbles. The arabs willnot adhere to any piece of paper. So enjoy your trip

emanon ,   USA   (03.04.08)
I only allow one lie to me before I tune a person out. Just to be generous, I decided to reead you response to the end anyway. 1) They are not settlements, they are cites. Lie #1 2) They are not illegal as they are on Israeli soil. Lie #2 3) Stop brainwashing your people into exploding themselves and maybe there would be no need for any physical barrier. The wall is now where near 500 Km. Lie #3 4) The who? The original Palestinians as Jews. As others have said, look at your history. Judea, the land of the Jews, had the name changed to Palestine long before 1967 when Arraffat tried to claim it for the Arab people. So who is steal from whom? Lie #4 5) Did you look at the facts? Lie #5

Raymond from DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (03.04.08)
Echoing one conservative commentator, emanon (#1) thinks Rice is just shilling for a spot on the McCain presidential ticket. But I'd lose what respect I have for McCain if he did something so foolish. While some might describe her tenure as a "big fat nothing" (#17), I'd go further. Her tenure as both head of the NSC and State have been unmitigated disasters. Recalling Reagan's "Are you better off today" query, on virtually every issue she's touched - the war against Islamic terror, Iraq, democratization, the Balkans, Pakistan, Russia, North Korea - we're worse off today. Most astonishing was her comparison of the poor downtrodden blacks of her childhood with today's Palestinians. Rice exceeded her "level of least incompetence" long ago. But she'll soon join the well paid lecture circuit where, at least, she can't do so much damage.
41. #36: The Qur'an
Steve ,   Fla.   (03.04.08)
I've got three good translations. In my opinion, the Qur'an teaches violent jihad. The prophet Muhammad was a warrior-king, unlike Moses and Jesus. He taught Muslims to kill the infidel. That includes Jews if we do not submit to Islam and pay the jizya or convert. Otherwise we are unbelievers and worthy of death. This is what is happening to Israel. This war is about religion. Islam -- as it is interpreted by scholars, sheikhs and imams throughought Midle East -- will not tolerate an non-Muslim nation on an equal basis in what is considered an Islamic waqf or endowment. My only point is the Qur'an clearly states that Israel or the Holy Land was given to the Jews. See Surah 5:20-22. Obviously very few Muslims and Muslim scholars recognize this, yet the text is clear. Cases that are of dangerous element to the national Security of israel are a subject matter od crime under the essential security regulation. As such detention under such laws are JUSTIFIED UNDER THE LAWs of Israel. International Law has no business in the local Laws passed by the Israeli parliament. The issue that administrative laws vilates international law is a myth propogated by so called human right movements and activist to serve their own missions and agenda. But here in Israel and orther nation that applies administrative detention has a legitimate reasons to adopt and enforce uch laws. BTW it i sthe British Colonial's the one who used such laws in their colonies.- in all the so called common wealth countries. Later such law were handy to supress subersive elements, like comunist undergroung infiltration.I recommend that Israel uses it administrative laws in the most effecient and effective way to combat the Extremist Islamic Terrorist. Richard, I am sorry , i cant agree with you there is no illegal detention as propounded by you. Extremist Islamist has been violating the Human right laws in the very extreme sense. They claim to be dmeocartic but it is the EXTREMIST ISLAMIC TERRORIST that has been making a mokery of the Democratic System in Many Nation in this World MENT to be A BEAUTIFUL pLace for the human race to stay happly. ISRAEL did not VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL LAWS. WHERE IN THE INTERNATIONAL LAW IT IS PROVIDED THAT THESE EXTREMIST ISLAMIST CAN LAUNCH QASSAM, KATUSYAHS,SEDD SUICIDE BOMB, RECRUITE CHILDREN INTO TERRORIST MOVEMENTS, CHALLLENGE THE OFFICIAL MILITARY AND POLICE OF THE STATE ????? LET ME TELL WITHOUT APOLOGISE, THE DETENTION WILL NOT STOP AND WE WILL SMASH THE GAZA TERRORIST EVERY TIME THEY SHOOT QASSAMS INTO ISRAEL. I DONT THINK ANY DECENT GOVET WILL EVER TOLERATE SUCH TERRORIST ACTIVITY. THERE IS NO LIBERTY OR DUE PROCESS IN THEIR EXTREMISM ! ISRAEL IN THE ONLY DEMOCRATIC NATION IN THE MIDDLE EAST.DONT SINGLE OUT ISRELI WE KNOW THE TRUTH, WE STAND BY ISRAEL, EEVEN YOUR BBC CAN INFLUENCE OUR MIND AGAINST ISAREL. WE LOVE ISRAEL : -) ~ IT HAS NEVER BEEN THE INTENTION OF THE IDF TO HURT CIVILIANS.BUT IT I STHE CIVILAINS THAT PARADE AS TERRORIST OF GAZA. NO ONE CAN DENY THIS TRUTH.THEY HAVE BEEN ABUSING EVERY INTERNATIONAL AID TIME AND TIME AGAIN,THEIR CHILREN ARE DYING BY MAL NURITION, NO PROPER HOME TO GROW.IF ISRAEL DONT APPLY DARASTIC LAW, GAZA WOULD BE ANOTHER DAFUR. IT IS NECESSARY AND IMENENANT ISRAEL FIGHT THEM BY EVERY MEANS. BEN SHLOMO SINGAPORE.

Israel should Say NO even to USA -Condi. Israel should never take dictation from US or anyone for the matter, We Israeli hav our parliament, our laws, our rules an regulations, That applies to regulations that are set to rule an d govern every set of procedures in any administrative detention. You British Sysytem of administraive of Justice is not alein to administrative law and essential detention orders in essential security regulation wre the cases are of threat to the national security.under such law it is JUSTIFIED to prolongue detention. As such as far as evidences are concern, it dosent follow the usual rules of discovery and public disclosure. That is why the law related is called ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION !The source od dsuch law was from the BRITISH COLONIAL MASTYER who onece imposed such law on their crown colonies. During thos edays it was essentially useful to the British to arrest and detain those partiot who faught for independence, LOOK AT INDIA, PAKISTAN, SINGAPORE, MALAYSIA,Later these same laws became useful to detain subersive elements. As such israel is JUSTIFIED in using these administarive detention laws to protect her land and her people. International Law FAILED top stop QASSAMS. USA only talks ands make more talks. Look we Israeli donty want to be dictated any more. The case of Jonathan pollard is a clear cut example of ADMINISTRATIVE DEtention in the most unfair means,Even in Pakistan these laws are being given a new breath of life in the lesser abitary sense. In PakistanAn Indian man who spent 35 years in Pakistani prisons as an accused spy walked across the border to freedom Tuesday, an unconditional release that Pakistan said was meant to reduce the deep-rooted enmity between the countries. Kashmir Singh, now bald, white-bearded and his 60s, had tears in his eyes when he entered India and was greeted by his wife and son. His wife, Paramjeet Kaur, offered him flowers and fed him a sweet, a traditional Indian expression of happiness. "I have got a new life," Singh said before stepping across the border gate. The rival South Asian countries have arrested many of each other's citizens, including fishermen and others who say they accidentally strayed across the border. Some are imprisoned for years on espionage charges, usually with no contact with their families. India says there are some 600 other Indian prisoners in Pakistani jails. Pakistan said there are some 200 of its nationals in Indian jails. Pakistani officials said they hoped Singh's freedom would lead to more releases. "There was no bargain. This is a bargain of love. In love, there are no conditions," said Pakistan Minister for Human Rights Ansar Burney, who was instrumental in securing Singh's release and escorted him across the border. "This has shown the world that Pakistan is a humane nation." The two men hugged for a long time before Singh was handed over to Indian police officials, who put their palms together in a gesture of thanks for several minutes. Such expressions of friendship are rare between officials of the two nations, which have fought three wars in the 60 years since gaining independence from Britain. Singh was arrested in 1973 when he was 26. The former policeman from the Indian state of Punjab had become a trader in electronic goods, and he was detained during a business trip to the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi. Singh on Tuesday acknowledged going to Pakistan without a passport, admitting it was a mistake. He was convicted of spying and sentenced to death by a military court. The government commuted Singh's execution in the late 1970s but the case languished. Burney learned of Singh in December and began working for his release, finally persuading President Pervez Musharraf to grant clemency. continue .....

continue .... "It doesn't matter what his crime was. He spent 35 years in prison. It was too long," said Burney. "We have sent a good message to India and hope they will reciprocate and free Pakistani prisoners." Singh was freed from a prison in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore on Monday, and spent the night in a luxury hotel. On Tuesday, he was driven by Pakistani authorities to the India-Pakistan land border. He walked the final feet to freedom carrying a plastic bag that contained his meager belongings. "I am very happy today," said his wife, Kaur. "I have been through bad times in bringing up my three children single-handedly. But I am looking forward to a new dawn." Singh was then taken to his home in the nearby village of Hoshiarpur. He said he held no bitterness toward Pakistan. "I have no regrets for anything that happened to me," Singh said. "I have got a new life. It is my heartfelt wish that Pakistan remains peaceful and stable." As such, it is my heartfelt wish to see both the Pals an The israeli live as free people from EXTREMIST ISLAMIC TERRORISM. AS such it is necessary for ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION LAWS TO BE APPLIED IN FULL FORCE IN ISRAEL. THESE IS NO ILLEGAL DETENTION BUT A JUTIFIED on iN THE LIGHT OF THE THRET TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF ISREAL. THAT IS THE SOLE AND MATTER CONCERNING SECURITY AND NO COMPROMISE !

48. Invicta, or Dementa?
Nice Try, Invicta ,   Home of the Brave   (03.05.08)
I've read other posts by Invicta on other articles, and it is clear this person is obviously clueless. Or twisted. Invicta means undefeated. Stop masquerading as some one or something with any merit. (But it is heartening to see that deep down, you truly identify with Israel -- which truly is undefeated and must remain that way). You posit that the qassams are a mild form of resistance -- even though they result in death and terror. You pick more cherries than Dick Cheney. That is quite an accomplishment, at least. The fact is that the Arabs of the area formerly known as Palestine do not need any form of resistance now. There are negotiations going on, and while difficult, they are progressing to the point that there might actually become a state called Palestine. So, this "mild form of resistance" is merely undermining their aspirations. Not like that has ever stopped the Arabs of the area formerly known as Palestine from defeating themselves or missing an oppotunity for peace. Why some one, supposedly sophisticated, has to try and defend the indescriminate targeting of innocents is laughable if it weren't so twisted. We know your type. You are weak, trying to act strong. You try to champion the weak, even though, they, like you, lie to themselves to keep hatred alive. It won't work. Not for you. Not for them.

I wonder if anyone takes Invicta seriously for she is quite wise. Invicta does not want peace with Israel, but to destroy Israel in order to build a new Arab state: Invicta knows that there is room for only one country. So people, take your pick. Invicta's way where the Jews are dead, or some other way

54. has the US ignited civil war in Gaza?
observer   (03.05.08)
Vanity Fair has obtained confidential documents, since corroborated by sources in the U.S. and Palestine, which lay bare a covert initiative, approved by Bush and implemented by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Deputy National Security Adviser Elliott Abrams, to provoke a Palestinian civil war. The plan was for forces led by Dahlan, and armed with new weapons supplied at America’s behest, to give Fatah the muscle it needed to remove the democratically elected Hamas-led government from power. (The State Department declined to comment.) But the secret plan backfired, resulting in a further setback for American foreign policy under Bush. Instead of driving its enemies out of power, the U.S.-backed Fatah fighters inadvertently provoked Hamas to seize total control of Gaza. http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2008/04/gaza200804?currentPage=1 American officials strongly denied the allegations of the non-popular "Vanity Fair'", but Rice has paid her visit unprecedentedly first to Ramallah before her Tel Aviv visit , why?
55. an old joke
israeli ,   israel   (03.05.08)
All this "peace possible" talk reminds me of an old joke: - Is it possible to bring communism to Switzerland? - Yes, but it would be such a shame. Not that it would be a shame to bring peace to the ME, it would be wonderful. But we want real peace, not another shoddy job just to please the Bush administration before they go out to pasture. When Bush leaves office in several months Americans can forget about him. Why should Israelis go on suffering? As they say in France: The king is dead, long live the king!" You weren't able to bring peace to the world or even the ME in your eight years in office, Mr. President. don't expect to be able to rush things in the last 10 months.
